    We were in the middle of moving a few small items (such as sky decoder, couple of speakers) when Shane and his colleague turned up - around 8.10am. Shane started having a go at us saying that we needed to strip the beds and put everything in one room. Fair enough - we started stripping the beds and moving the small stuff out onto the back deck. Shane was then saying "this isn't good enough, all this should have been done in the weekend, I'm just going to leave." We tried to reason with him but he wouldn't listen. What we had to move would have taken no more than five minutes. He couldn't wait and left. He was rude and self righteous.

    I had decided to work from home that day so as to oversee what was going on and help where possible.

    Because of his outburst, he seriously inconvenienced me and the rest of the household. I spent 30 minutes shifting everything back inside and out of the kitchen and bathroom while my flatmate was in tears because of the unnecessary stress he had caused.

    We now have to live in a bombsite of a house for another four days until a new guy comes to lay the carpet.

    We understand that more small stuff could have been shifted earlier but that does not give this cowboy to decide "its not good enough" and just leave. WE are the customer. You're working for US. We expected a friendly and helpful service but instead we received rude and unhelpful service that was unacceptable and unwarranted.

    "hired to cut and lay NOT STRETCH expensive carpet in 2 bedrooms when other trade fell through. owner sent 2 guys, he stopped in at end to check. immediately began emailing me for payment and as house is tenanted and t hadnt said anything we paid the $250. t moved 2 weeks later and we discovered the carpet cutting was hopeless - waaaay too big and there were big hills everywhere. phoned gary left numerous messages with woman who assured me he would call but he didnt. wanted to sort before new t moved in so brought carpenter working on my place to have a look. he was able to trim the edge in one room - we managed to work the excess to one wall only - but 2nd room was too far out. eventually got through to gary and he refused to finish the job even thought it would have taken all of 10 mins and he is based a short distance away. he became aggressive and beligerent. the cheapest additional charge to finish the job from other layers has been $150. it will be the last carpet we ever lay. shameful."

    "This customer asked for a price to install imported carpet remnant she had bought from another company and we supplied the Underlay at cost. We gave her the price to install as per the Australian/NZ Flooring Standards (conventional method on smoothedge) and advised of terms of payment were on completion. When the Layer arrived on site the carpet remnant was rolled up tight and any type of carpet that has been rolled tight will expand over time (this is why it is necessary to stretch carpet while installing). The customer was also onsite and refused to allow the layer to put down the smoothedge. At this point the layer felt uncomfortable with how she wanted the product installed and called Gary. Gary went directly to the site and explained to the customer that the product would expand over time and that the edges would fray and if she insisted on not allowing them to install the carpet properly the installation could not be guaranteed. The customer acknowledged this but insisted we loose lay both the Underlay & Carpet as she didn\'t want holes in the polished sub floor. The carpet was installed as per the customer\'s wishes. Once the carpet expanded she called and insisted we come back and fix it up for free. She was reminded that she was not covered by a guarantee, we offered to retrim the carpet for $100, she refused. "
