"I contacted The Movers last minute to organise a Sunday job. I chose them after reading reviews on here, and I was not disappointed. The men showed up on time, were extremely polite and chatty, and did a quick and efficient job. Would definitely recommend for a stress-free move!"

"This is the second time the lads have moved me, and even due to some unforseen hiccups the move went really well, no breakages, everything safe and secure. I will only use these guys for all my moving requirements in future and highly recommend them to all my friends and family (and random strangers too) :)

"I would NEVER use this company again! We booked them to arrive between 3:30pm-4pm and they called at 11:30am to say they were running behind and wouldn\'t be able to do the move until 5:30-6:00. We then rang later and checked and it was now going to be 8pm or later which they hadn\'t bothered to tell us. Just such bad service."

"Your men were exceptional workers who got on and did the job fantastically well.
When they moved our stuff out of storage, we were amazed that everything from the storage unit fitted into one truckload - a god-send in times like this when you\'re moving!

The second lot of moving men were just as good as the first lot, and it was so nice to see one of the men returned for the second job.

After a lot of hard work, the doors of the truck closed, and they were off - another job done!… Thanks so much for making our move so easy and non-stressful. Nothing was damaged at all - your workers should be praised - especially the men who came on those two days to help us move.

I\'d definatley recommend others using your company again in the future - you do a stunning job."

"These guys are probably some of the most polite people I have ever met. A pleasure to have move your stuff, and the guys in the head office were great too. However, I think that the move probably took too long and we were a bit disappointed with a few bits of damage (after getting them to pack those more fragile items especially) and also a bit surprised by the cost of materials charged to us. Overall - prob a 3.5/5 and not sure I would use again despite liking them all a lot"

"Second time in 6 months that I have used these guys - both times they did a fantastic job .. as both of my moves were late in the day they kept me informed how they were progressing with their earlier jobs so that I was not waiting around for them to turn up

"Hi Guys, honestly after all these good ratings I was expecting more. 2 of the guys tried very hard but the quality of the work was not the best. 3rd guy was useless. Generally speaken, scratches on furniture, the washing machine fell off one time, scratches as well. After complaining, getting the answer it was a very hard job dissapoints me. Common guys we are a 3 person household (70m2) its your job carrying washing machines, fridges and sofas and Matt of course there are steps in Wellington,… especially in Oriental Terrace so no surprise and no excuse... Regarding getting the information that the 3rd guy will be fired after that day, I do not really care Its up to you to hire the right people...

Anyway finally we paid not for three after that, just for two and a half men but I was definitely expecting more as a compromise. Sorry."

"Excellent service and highly recommended. Managed to move our whole house in half a day which was pretty outstanding. Had some really big items as well being shifted up and down steps; and how Mike just lifted a heavy fridge and double sofa on his shoulders amazed us. Mike, Cam and Junior worked solidly and quickly throughout the job without break. Efficient, really friendly, and if we ever move again these would be our first choice. Best experience I've had of moving."

"They stole my $200 skateboard which is very frustrating and insulting. I've made a claim with the police but they said, and I'm sure themovers.co.nz knows this, that the judge would never bother to peruse something of such little value. If you use these guys be sure to inspect the truck and cabin before they leave. They very untrustworthy in this respect. They arrived an hour early which was a surprise, but good. They were quick and didn't have any trouble lifting anything. Well organised and… friendly. They didn't have change so I paid them $260 rather than $245 as I was amazed at the great job they did, I regret being so nice now."

"Aside from being late for two hours, they did the job reasonably well. Good-size truck, secured items well. Really good about the steps! I would recommend them as long as you make sure that they will arrive on time."

"Ricki and Mike did an excellent job in the move, which involved bringing most items include a 400L fridge up a flight of narrow stairs. It was laborious and they worked very hard to keep things in order, not to bump into walls or scratch our belongings. The truck door refused to open at some point and thus time was stopped. Apart from that, everything went well, they even got a 3rd man (Grant) to complete the job in time. Would definitely recommend to anybody."

"Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Ricky and Michael that moved us today. They were outstanding and I am sure they are a huge profit to their business. They were very professional and both of them had an remarkable attitude. They were strong and able to work fast. This is our first move that was actually a pleasure and they made it a very pleasurable experience for us. They went above and beyond to get our furniture into the house, they didn't scratch or bump a wall and none of our… furniture were damaged - absolutely fantastic! "These guys were superb. Texed earlier in the day to say they had a cancellation and would I like them to come earlier which was great. Took much less time than I anticipated, and were super friendly and cheerful throughout the move. In fact, they were a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be passing their details on to friends and family should they need movers. Took the stress out of the day for sure, smiling all the way. 10 out of 10, and so reasonably priced."

"I thoroughly recommend these guys. They moved my stuff out of storage and into a house on a hill that they had to back the truck up. They carried everything down a decent flight of stairs with no complaining and no broken or damaged furniture. Communication on the day was spot on. In fact, their morning job was cancelled so they texted first thing to find out if I wanted to do the move earlier. I couldn't make that work, but they weren't at all worried and showed up, on time, to complete the… job at the time specified. They charged me for less time than they actually took, and were cheerful, professional and friendly. Good stuff, guys. Will definitely recommend you to my friends and family."

"Wow, what awesome guys/ movers! Came in, took excellent care of all of our stuff. I had WAY underestimated the amount of time needed,and they were so cool about it. These are the kind of guys you want to move you, trustworthy, reliable, and in GREAT moods, which made the move happy and unstressful. Ive moved 9 times in the past 5 years, and have never had movers like these guys. Usually its a stressful experience, with grumpy, hungover guys, NOT Chris and Joe-- they were friendly, hard-working… and just all around GREAT attitudes.

Being from the Destiny Church at they end of our move, they blessed our move, family and new home, which was a nice way to end a full-on day (even non-religious can appreciate extra blessings eh?). I hope this business takes off and becomes one of NZs top movers. Thanks guys!"

"Chris and T were great. When I called he was able to make an appointment promptly. On the day, Chris called an hour before he came and turned up on the dot. Despite 120 steps, scaffolding, and narrow doorways, both of guys were fast and careful. There were no complaints or fussing by the guys. The good were delivered, and stacked carefully and securely.
I will use these Chris again. The service was great.

"Great guys, 4 men 2 vehicles. Started on time, finished early!! I had only moved 8 weeks before and these guys were far quicker which made them cost effective. Kept in touch, called the night before to confirm. Pointed out to me if anything was damaged previously before they moved it.
They even got my cat out of the attic so we could put her in her cage and then carefully put both cats in the front seat of their vehicle. Very nice caring guys. Thanks again."

"Chris and his team were excellent! Very professional and didnt complain once when moving my stuff from a house with difficult access to another house with lots of steep steps.

"although slightly late arrival they were so proffesional and the upmost car was taken with our goods .When our home is built we will use these guysc again to get our furniture out of storeage and into our new home really pleasant guys nothing was a problem to them highly recomended"

"Very efficient, I was contacted a couple of hours after I booked. When I called their number, someone actually answered and not the usual voicemail that I get from the rest. Best price out of all the movers that I searched. Very professional guys and quick and painless. Great job and definitely would hire them again in the future."

"These guys are awesome..... arrived on time, I paid for an hour and a half upfront, got a call back to say the job was only an hour and gave me a refund that day to my bank account!!!! honest, quick and affordable, I will most definitely be using these guys next time! "
