    "\'\'Cowboys\'\' This should be there company name.I spent $24000 on a Butynol roof and as far as service,there is none.Both Danny and Kerry must have a degree in lying,as they are very good at it.I have even been to court with these people and they still wont honour there 5 year workmanship warranty.Although the problems i have with my roof are minor, trying to get them here is impossible,one excuse after another.\'\'People \'\'be aware of The Gutter Guys\'\' i would not reommend these guys to anyone,you would have more joy hireing some Chimps from the local Zoo.How hard can it be."

    "This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with tradesmen. He did turn up as arranged on the first visit but only to say he could not stay and would call to rebook. On the second visit he took apart the spouting but then said he needed to return to his home to collect the correct connectors and would return the next day to re-connect everything. We have not heard from him since. We were left with dis-connected leaking spouting all around the house and despite numerous phonecalls to him (all of which were polite!) we have had no response. We have now had another firm in to make good their shoddy work. There is no way I would recommend this company or Vane to anyone."

    "This company is appalling. They actually did turn up (within a few days of when they said they would), and do the roofing job they had quoted on. The work seems OK too. However, it is now seven months later, and we are still waiting for the paperwork that will allow us to gain code of compliance with the council. We have called and emailed many many many times, and there is always another excuse, another (unfulfilled) promise. I wouldn't recommend these guys to my worse enemy. "

    "I logged on here just to check whether there was any feedback about these people after having tried for over a fortnight to get some work done by them - lo and behold it looks like its not an isolated problem. My experience pretty much exactly mirrors Steve's. Said they would come around to quote on a Thursday evening - didn't. Said they would come Friday instead - didn't. When I rang to complain about the no-shows I was told that they did come Friday but we weren't home - I had told them not to come before 6pm because we are never home by then. They protested that they left a message on my husband's phone - it appears not. Someone finally came around to quote the following Thursday, during the afternoon - my husband had to leave work and come home to show the guy the problem. He discussed possible solutions and promised to ring us with a quote. Six days later - nothing, and meantime, of course, it keeps raining... Having seen that our problem is not an isolated one, I will not keep trying with these people, but will use someone else."

    "Actually I can't comment on their work. I called them on a Friday to get them to clear out guttering and also give me a quote to replace some of it. I was told someone would be there that day, or failing that then Saturday, so stayed home that afternoon. No one turned up.

    On the following Tuesday I called again and was told they'd been held up on other jobs but I was logged in for that day. No apology for not coming or keeping me informed about why no one had showed up for 4 days.

    By Friday still no sign of anyone so called again and was told someone would come out at 1.30pm. At 2.15 I called to find out how far away they were and was told they were on their way and would be there shortly; I asked how long shortly was and was told 15-20 min. Around 3.20 someone arrived and after having a look at the job asked when I wanted the job done! I told him I thought that that was why he was there but was told that he would have to come back to do it- at 1100-1130 the next day, Saturday. At that time he would also bring a quote for the replacement work.

    As of today- the following Tuesday, a week and a half after the initial contact- still no sign of anyone from the company or any contact as to the hold up.

    By all means use this company. If you can get them to turn up.

    "Used these guys over the period of about a year. They were friendly and quite prompt in getting their quote to me for the work I requested, but from then on they were unreliable and the quality of work was generally poor and temporary in nature. WIthin the quote their conditions state that they come back within a couple of weeks to check their work. Didn't happen.
    Had them back several months later to redo some of the work that was poorly done and some missed areas. This required alot of followup calls to get any joy.

    After around 8 months some of their flashings were coming unstuck, but despite a 5 year warranty, this was never resolved.

    I think these guys are OK for temporary repair work but not sure if robust permanent projects are their thing
