    "Terrible customer service, not prompt or professsional. Sell Diakin Heat pumps but don't know how to install them. I had to call Diakin to get advice and parts for them. I would not recommend at all for heat pump installation."

    "Do not get this company to install, service or otherwise touch your heat pump! They don't have a clue what they're doing and their reliability when it comes to calling you back or showing up for appointments is appalling.

    Here's what happened to us:

    Late 2017: previous owners of house have brand new heat pump installed before putting the house on the market. It's the beginning of summer so the appliance is not really used before the house is sold. We buy the house thinking we'll have heating during the winter.

    Autumn 2018: Weather gets colder, we try out the heat pump. It does a very good job of cooling our living room to outside temperatures and also sounds quite strange. We get a technician from a smaller company to have a look at it. Technician diagnoses a refrigerant leak due to an installation error and tells us to get in touch with the original installers as it's a warranty case.

    Beginning of winter 2018: We have been waiting for a full month for HRV to get back to us to fix the thing they messed up. Nobody has ever called us back for anything, and nobody showed up at the appointed time. Phone receptionist at HRV blames computer problems. In the meantime, we're freezing to death in a poorly heated house.

    Winter 2018: HRV finally come in and replace the outdoor unit after we contacted the manufacturer and asked them if there was anything else we - or they - could do and they got in touch with HRV directly. The non-HRV technician advises them to do a pressure test at the end, which they don't do.

    You'd think that was it, wouldn't you? You would be wrong.

    Fast-forward to autumn 2019: After another summer of not using the unit because we don't need to cool our house when it's hot, we turn the heat pump back on as the temperature drops. Guess what? It has stopped working again. We call the non-HRV technician back to take a look. He diagnoses another refrigerant leak (remember that pressure test?) and this time takes a look at the indoor unit as well. Result: the indoor unit looks like it was dropped, broken and glued back together in an effort to hide the damage. So it turns out that this is now broken as well. Non-HRV technician advises us to go back to HRV because it's still a warranty case.

    Still autumn 2019, i.e. now: HRV are marginally faster at coming to fix things this year. They replace the indoor and outdoor unit because it's fastest and tell us they haven't got the equipment with them to do a pressure test. They promise they'll get in touch with us to arrange it at a later date.

    That was over a fortnight ago. The heat pump works at the moment but then it did last year as well - for a while. So given that they didn't actually check that they fixed the leak(s) we fully expect a third iteration of this charade next year.

    In summary: do yourself a favour and pick another company - any company - from the yellow pages if you need any work done on your heat pump. They're guaranteed to do a better job.

    "Excellent professional service. Requested a quote. This was provided same day of visit. Clearly explained everything. It was signed, sealed and delivered within about a week of me receiving the quote. Brilliant service. And after sales service. There was a follow up call to see if I was satisfied with the work. Couldn't fault them, and the heat transfer works well. Would definitely recommend."

    "Everything we were told at the initial meeting in our home was adhered to. Rob even went overboard for us due to our position and for this we are very grateful. We have only had this system in our home for about a week and I personally have noticed a huge improvement during the day to my demeanour as I tend to react with the heat as I am going through menopause.
