"I would not hesitate to use Kenray Roofing again. Very happy with their service - an honest assessment of what was needed, helpful advice and Luke did a prompt and professional job, with great customer care and a helpful explanation of the work he had done.
We had alternative quotes from other local roofing suppliers - one of whom never responded, and another who tried to sell us unnecessary work at a vast cost.
Kenray did a good job of identifying what was required, explaining why it was needed and letting us know exactly what *isn't* wrong with the roof so we can realistically plan future maintenance and repair work with an honest roofing company."

"Craig had come in to inspect my roof and explained very well in detailed what he saw and gave options for repair work.
Once the quote was accepted, arrangements were made quite quickly for the work to be done. Sorry i can't remember who came to do the repair.
Very please with the explanation and the work delivered. Thanks for helping to arrange for the work to be done quickly to stop the leak over these few weeks of rain."

"Very highly recommended. We had a full roof replacement, and later also had our guttering replaced. Great communication from the company who did a thorough initial quote which was very reasonable compared to competitors. They were very open about wait times, and always replied to emails promptly. Job completed to a very high standard and workers were quick, tidy and easy to deal with."

"A bit of a miscommunication at the start around quotes but a couple of phone calls and all sorted no drama. Guys turned up earlier than expected which was a surprise but a good one. Aaron was great at communicating, respectful and got the job done as fast as possible (weather dependant) and to a good standard. Even had a local come and knock on our door to enquire as she thought everything was being done professionally and we'll. She was looking for quotes. Happy with the finished product and they did a good job cleaning up afterwards. Sarah was great to deal with back at base too."

"Kenray were very quick to respond to our request for pricing. Once materials were delivered, the team were very prompt to make a start on the roof.
I work from home and their team were very courteous and professional about how they conducted themselves on site. The area was thoroughly tidied at the end of each day, with old iron stacked neatly off to the side and taken away once the job was completed.
Our house being an 1920s villa includes the usual valleys, dips and lower roof sections for which a great amount of care was used to ensure adequate flashings were installed."

"Excellent work all round. This company replaced our roof and gutters for us.
Natasha at the office was clear with me on timelines and costings. Answered all my questions and didn't make me feel dumb for asking them.
The boys who worked onsite were also great. Explained what they were doing and didn't mind me getting in the way when I came out to have a nosy. They worked efficiently even in the crazy summer heat, getting the whole thing done in just over 5 business days roof and guttering.
Lastly, before I took this company on for the work the owner had come out to do a spot repair in winter. He clearly knew his stuff and was an old hand. I'm also very happy supporting a local business that's been in upper hutt for decades."

"I asked three roofing companies for a quote to re-roof a garage.
Kenray was not the cheapest but I was impressed with the professionalism of the tradie who arrived to evaluate the job.
Kenray covered all OSH requirements (safety scaffolding etc) and their staff performing the re-roof in a very professional and efficient manner.
They also ensured the site was clean and tidy on completion.
I do not hesitate to recommend Kenray"

"My garage roof was leaking badly in heavy rain so I rang to see if someone could come around to repair it in a couple of weeks as I was going away for work until then. Once I explained it to her, the very friendly office person managed to get one of her crews around to my place within a couple of hours and they found and fixed the leak in very quick time for a very reasonable rate. I highly recommend these guys."

"Disappointed with their customer service. The first Kenray tradesperson that came to replace all the nails on my roof instead of disposing of them appropriately threw them into my garden. These are chunky/grunty roof nails that i consider to be dangerous. When i emailed Kenray to advise them that i was taken aback and disappointed they didn't apologise instead commented that i had only paid a 50% deposit and once my job was complete all trade waste will be taken away. No one was going to be coming back to rummage through my garden and find all the nails thrown off my roof - we are not talking 1 or 2 nails but all of them.
However, we have had considerable rain and my roof hasn't leaked, but wonder about the workmanship of the job if no pride is taken and a Kenray tradesperson considers it ok to throw hazardous material into a customers garden."

"I sent an email about 11am and much to my surprise the two men arrived just after 12noon - excellent. I showed them where the leak was and said we had spare tiles up in the roof so they went up to get them and found that the leak was further down the roof, not accessible from inside. They climbed up and did the repair within 20 minutes or so. I was so pleased as it was raining at the time and I had not anticipated they would fix it during the rain but they were happy to do so. They were courteous and polite and that combined with their efficiency gave a very good impression. I would be happy to deal with your firm again. Please pass on to them my grateful thanks."

"Have had so much trouble with my enclosed car port roof continually leaking and making it difficult to get into a dry back door , I had cowboys with expensive prices suppose to have fixed it. and has been an on going problem . Rang Kenray Roofing, they said Darren would call tomorrow, but would ring to confirm if I would be home, Cut a long story short Darren found the problems dealt with them there and then. "Very unhappy with service. Asked them to check roof and all flashings and make sound and weathertight. Around November discvoered the flashing around the woodburner had been leaking and wrecked the carpet. Asked them to fix it which they did.
My handy person was doing some other work and advised there were loose nails on the roof. Then I discovered another leak which I hadn't been aware of as was under a rug. This leak had clearly been going on for some time and was due to nails coming out of the roof and allowing water in which caused damage to the carpet and considerable dampness in the house."

"we were very satisfied with the repair to our roof although we were told we would have to wait 8 weeks due to a heavy work load. however we had a heavy downpour of rain and we asked if they could just make a temporary repair they immediately got Craig to come from a site he was working on he not only fixed the problem but carried out another job on some guttering.
not only was the work carried efficiently the cost was less than the original quote.

"Paid thousands of dollars for Kenray Roofing to recoat my roof and has leaked constantly since. Got them out 3-4 times that year for leaks before giving up on them.... I should have kept demanding they fix it because ended up costing me a new roof!! If they had told me recoating wouldn't work from day one I would have saved $3000!! Workmanship was shoddy also from day one, compete Cowboys"

"Kenray Roofing fixed two leaking areas, replacing some Clearlite and and roofing over a rusted patch. Happy with the end product but had to chase them from quote to getting them to come onsite. Only things timely were them coming to do the quote and the final invoice being sent out.
Problems were:
1. Quote sent to wrong email address and had to chase-up after 2-3 weeks
2. After paying deposit had to phone after 10 days to arrange a time to get job done. Left messages over a few days before getting hold of someone
3. Workers did not turn up on appointed day because of sickness. Had to call to find this out and re-arrange for next day
4. Workers did part of job and left remainder till following day. It rained (and leaked). Part-done job not secured down in high winds, including roofing screws left lying around on roof
Job was eventually finished satisfactorily with foreman's input. Not particularly happy with service and will not use again."

"I've been very impressed from start to finish. They gave me a detailed quote with no hidden extras so I knew the cost involved for scaffolding etc. They also re-painting before putting up the new guttering so that I was left with a fiddly job later. "I had a good experience with these guys. I contacted them after another roofing contractor did a really poor job when trying to fix a leak in my roof and then replacing my flashing. When Craig came he was very friendly and professional, and in 5 minutes had tracked down the source of my leak by lifting a few tiles - something the previous guys hadn't even bothered to do. He suggested a solution which was much more thorough than the previous work had been, and he brought down pieces of tile and flashing to show me what was needed. He also took photos to show me what had happened to the battens under the roofing. When he came back to do the job he was very thorough. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work. My only comments would be that I wasn't able to separately contact Craig directly to clarify a couple of things with him; it had to be through a phone message to the answering service, then maybe a call from Therese or Darren, who would then pass a message on to Craig. The other comment would be that Craig was going to send me some photos of the poor work done by the previous guys so I could take that up with them, and that hasn't happened yet. But overall I was very satisfied with Kenray Roofing."

"We utilised Kenray late last year to moss kill all the roofs on our Park Suite complex here at the Hotel as well as solve some blocked/broken guttering issues we had. From start to finish I found Darren and his team to be easy to deal with, reliable and very price competitive (we got quotes).

"These guys really came through for us. We found the leaking roof a day before we were going over seas. We made contact and were given an around about time of two weeks before they could make it out to us, but came around after just two days. The leak was fixed and we were given a workmanship warranty. So very pleased. Will recommend to family and friends in need of a roofer!!!"

"A thorough inspection of the roof was done, after this a thorough quotation was done, highlighting all the points that would be carried out.The team arrived on the day promised. They knew what to do and got stuck in, and did a thorough job.It looks like new and even impressed our next door neighbor,who is a retired builder and went out of his way to say what a splendid job they did.
I did get competative quotes to start with, one of which was $2.500 more and the other $2,000 less but didn\'t elaborate on what they would do.Kenrays quote was middle of the road, but thorough and detailed in what they would do. The team of workers were a joy."
