    "I took my car to this garage for a warrant, The initial cost for the warrant was $280.00 - I later found out I had been ripped off, after these repairs Paul wanted to fix some rust at a cost of $100... I agreed... He then cracked my windscreen, on replacing the windscreen Paul advised this would cost an additional $380 + GST to fix the rust to enable him to replace the window which he smashed... the car is only worth $1000 dollars or so and I was needing to sell it before leaving Auckland.... Paul suggested as payment I SIGN MY CAR OVER TO HIM (if you do the math I would get a return of around $100 if anything at all after he had done the service and cleaned it) ... By now alarm bells were ringing so I got a friend involved... I managed to get the car from the garage and paid for the repairs, plus the window being installed (Paul did give a replacement window)... Overall it cost me $200 from another garage to have the repairs done, to put it into perspective a light paul was charging me $100 for cost me in the $15 from somewhere else. I luckily managed to sell my car before leaving Auckland. Because of Paul I was left without transport for 5 weeks and was treated appallingly. It was funny how quick his tune changed when I got a man involved who knew what they were talking about, Paul had pressed me to sign my car over but didn't even mention it to my male friend when talking repairs and costs. Genuinely was a heart breaking experience for me having someone deliberately try and steal my car and being a traveler in Auckland I had to pay to hire a car for my short time here so I could see the places I wanted to see. Its garages like this that give other garages a bad name and would never recommend it to anyone.

    I did not pay Paul a penny before I left Auckland and if anything I should have given him an invoice for the time, money and stress he caused during my time in Auckland.

    "I took my car into Khyber Automotive Specialists for a WOF, who were friendly and happy to help. I asked for them to call before commencing work, which they did around 11am. Much to my dismay, they reported that I would need approx $1500 worth of work done (includes parts, labour, and GST) to get my warrant. I was told I needed everything done to get the warrant. This included: my rear brakes (disc pads and disc rotars), 2 tyres, oil and filter change, and a new air filter. I don\'t spend that amount of money lightly, so I picked up the car that evening and took it for a second opinion. They had already done the oil and filter, so I ended up paying for that. My car passed it\'s WOF at VTNZ with not issues. I cannot believe the audacity of these mechanics to claim I needed work done when I clearly didn\'t. Very disappointed and would NOT recommend."

    "Paul fixed our electric window for less than half the price quoted by an Auto Electrician. He fit us in right away and stayed late so we could pick up the car after work."

    "A part snapped in the handle of my car. Tony and his team took the door-panel off and told us we'd need a new part at $200. I asked for a second opinion for the part and it seemed a fair price. But actually all it needed was to swap the handles round on the front doors which I did myself very easily. I was then charged one hours labour...10mins to take the door panel off and 50mins phoning round for the costs of the part...fair? I think not."
