"After the exceptional work Law Landscaping had already completed, I reached out to them again to help design a functional and inviting outdoor living area at the front of my house, which had been both unsightly and unstable in certain spots. Once again, they delivered an outstanding result!
We now have a beautifully designed outdoor space featuring a wraparound deck seamlessly connecting to the existing one at the back of the house, along with a pergola that creates the perfect spot for relaxed dining. To ensure durability, they also reinforced the structure to withstand any potential ground movement.
Throughout the process, we were actively involved, receiving valuable advice and thoughtful suggestions. They carefully explained the pros and cons of each proposed solution, including whether to remove an existing tree or turn it into a feature. As you can see, we decided to highlight the tree, which now provides lovely natural shade.
I’m absolutely thrilled with the transformation and admire the professionalism and dedication they bring to their work. Their approach continues to impress me every time!"

"Jay and his dad was highly recommended to me by a good friend of ours. They said that they are reliable and very good on what they do. When we agreed for them to do the work in my property, they didn’t hesitate to come and check the property despite of the distance where they are base. Couple of days later they started the work. It only took them few days to complete the job and I was amazed of what they did to my garden. They transformed my dull garden into a beautiful, attractive tidy garden. "We engaged the services of Law Landscaping to reconstruct a collapsed timber retaining wall. Jay arrived right on time to discuss the job, offered good advice regarding the type and quality of material required to achieve a durable solution and submitted a prompt estimate of cost. Jay is very easy to deal with. He is a “hands on” contractor, not a project manager, so he walks the talk. Their cheerful crew of three arrived precisely on the appointed day to do the job, got stuck in and completed the work expeditiously, and to a very high standard. They had to cope with an unexpected “landslide” when the existing wall was removed, for which there was no extra charge. They also voluntarily reinstated the adjacent gravel surface at no extra cost and left the site clean and tidy.
We are happy with the end result and would have no hesitation in recommending Law Landscapes to others."

"2nd job we've hired Law Landscapes for and the 2nd fantastic experience. We had two large retaining walls that had been damaged by the Auckland Floods - one block, one timber. It was a technically difficult job on a 1960s property but Jay, Dave and team did another stellar job building a robust and great looking solution that will last for many years to come. What we love about these guys is they're not just on the job with tunnel vision, only caring about what we've engaged them to do. They identify any other issues or potential improvements and offer up advice or cost effective solutions where it's something they can take care of. It's clear this is not done just to create more work for themselves - they genuinely care about their clients and the properties they're servicing. "We feel incredibly lucky to have found the dream team that is Law Landscapes. After doing so much work in record time, as well as within the time they estimated, we are thrilled with our newly established gardens and deck.

We selected Law Landscapes after reading their positive reviews on this site.

From the very first time we spoke on the phone we knew that Jay was interested in working with us on our front and back section landscaping projects. He was most respectful and encouraging of our plans for the project and offered a few salient suggestions, which we decided to take on board based on his extensive experience. Jay, Dave and Mike helped us think through the many details of the project every step of the way. The team’s interest in getting the project done in the best way, both practically and aesthetically, was a huge bonus in having them as our team.

For the two weeks the team were here they had excellent communication (even before the project started). All aspects of the work were well explained and they regularly with consulted us. They left everything clean and tidy.

Unrelated and then resolved: we had discovered an area of mold inside the house just before the project started. Jay and his team assisted greatly in problem-solving about the source of the water entering the house. In the end they collaborated with our builder to determine the best way to resolve the problem and then completed remedial work as indicated. Additionally, the team noticed water coming into the garage that I was only vaguely aware of, for which they also quickly and effectively remedied the issue.

In every way this team was a pleasure to have working on our project. We highly recommend them from conceptualization to completion of your proposed landscaping project."

"Jay, Dave and team majorly improved a deck we had installed by another company only a year prior. We we’re given options and quotes on replacing boards or the entire decking. We considered the entire decking but ultimately Jay recommended going with replacing boards to keep costs down for us. He was very particular in choosing the replacements after discussing what we didn’t like and wanted to improve. He contacted us while buying the replacements to ensure we were happy to go ahead with his selection. I have no doubt that Jay and team went above and beyond having to fix up poor workmanship and we are so pleased with the outcome. Please learn from our mistake and choose a reputable builder the first time. We highly recommend Law Landscapes and if we should be so lucky to have any future projects, they will be our go too team."

"Jay, Dave and Michael completed a large scale make-over of my back yard following extensive damage from the 2023 floods. Their professional and hardworking approach made a very difficult project flow very smoothly.

They undertook extensive demolition work, filled in our old damaged swimming pool, re-worked the landscape levels and put in subsoil drainage to mitigate any future flood damage. The constructed a large new deck, a architecturally designed timber pergola, formed a decorative stone path, laid a new lawn and coordinated the installation of a new paved area.

I recommend them to anyone looking for a team of genuine guys who pride themselves on quality at a cost effective price. Jay was great as team lead, keeping communication up and providing design and budget control advice throughout. Thanks guys!"

"We had an old block retaining wall collapse during last year's flooding. Jay and Dave came up with a solution to build a new timber retaining wall around it, backfilling it with scoria. It was a tricky site to build in with steep land and a hedge along the wall which they were able to salvage. They also recompacted the ground underneath our tiger turf which had become very uneven as well as replaced some timber edging around the turf.

Jay and Dave are super hard working, knowledgable, skilled, reliable, honest and just great blokes to deal with and have a yarn to. They even came in under budget. We couldn't be happier with our experience working with them and have already got the next job lined up for them. Highly recommended!"

"Jay and his team completed a makeover of my front lawn. basically turned a sloppy non-inviting area into a usable two-tier garden along with an extended deck area. Communication was superb, very friendly bunch of people and always more than happy to answer my numerous questions.

As usual practise, I did meet with 3 other tradies. The reason I chose Jay was that I personally felt that he showed genuine interest in the job and it wasn't just another job for him. "Highly recommend for any landscaping work!
Jay and the team completed some work for us which included building a retaining wall, deck, privacy screen, pavers, planter boxes, fence/gate, concreting and pebbles in both our front entrance and backyard area. They completely transformed our outdoor spaces which prior to any work, were basically unusable. All work was completed to a very high standard, we were very impressed with the level of workmanship and quality. Communication was great, Jay consulted us all the way through and checked in with us on any key decisions. Jay was also helpful with planting suggestions, and any other ideas. We did ask for a few little extras along the way which they were able to help with which was very much appreciated. "Garden transformation!
We had a large ugly sloping back lawn that was not very usable, difficult to maintain, and after a few attempts to improve it, we had run out of ideas. Jay suggested a small retaining wall to create a flat lawn area, with a step down to a mulched area for planting.
It has worked brilliantly, and the end result is better than we anticipated. We now have an attractive and usable back lawn that will be much easier to look after. It is a total garden transformation!
Jay and his team have completed work for us before. They always do the best job they can, go out of their way to make everything right, and complete an excellent job at a fair price. Communication is excellent and honest.
We have used other contractors before, but Jay is streets ahead in all aspects. We wouldn’t use anyone else!"

"Jay, Dave and team were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

They built us a new deck with built in seating and stairs leading down to our back garden, where they created new garden beds, planted trees and levelled our lawn. All finished off with new hydroseed. Plus the team did a few additional jobs and helped remove an old washing line and clean up an existing garden bed at no cost. Very much appreciated.

Communication was top notch - Jay always kept me informed on timelines, costs and was upfront if some of our ideas weren’t necessarily the best solution or worth the cost. He also helped me a lot with choosing the best trees and plants for our area and budget.

Their workmanship was great and we now have a beautiful new area for the family and children to enjoy this coming summer.

We were also provided with a maintenance plan to ensure we make the most of our new deck and plants.

We will most certainly be using Law Landscape again and have already referred them to friends of ours, who are just as happy with their result.

"My husband and i have had retaining walls done by Law Landscaping Jay and Dave - they have happily helped doing other things in connection with the walls like stepping stone paths. Having removed the backfill they suggested it would be cheaper to build another retaining wall than to have it carted away. They have barrowed all the clay by hand up to the back of our steep section, which in this heat is a huge ask, giving us another level area on our section.They have done other landscaping for us including leveling and laying pavers. They are such hard workers. They have given us great advice and recommendations for cost savings and ideas.for landscaping materials."
