100%"Marshall electrical completed all the electrical requirements when my new kitchen was installed, all with rather short notice from myself , last year and returned to install the lightening in my kitchen and lounge last week, again, with short notice from myself. On both occasions James arrived to check out the job the same day and discussed time frames. The work was done to a excellant quality, the tradesman were friendly, polite and gave good advice (to a novice at renovations)
Tradesman… also noticed a problem with a sensor light on my Garage and replaced that for me as well. 100%"Problem: Received a slingshot modem for the purpose of children distance learning stating its ready to go, we followed the instructions as provided and connection was not working. We called slingshot, customer service recommend to call chorus or an electrician as they thought it maybe a phone jack problem. Facebook message to Marshall Electrical Limited a response within minutes. Initial contact was to explore the job request and what steps had been taken by us. James informed estimate cost… including job request could be performed within 24 hour as it fit the criteria for essential work under Level 4 - COVID19.
James replaced phone jack and mount block and trace cables for the purpose of slingshot modem to connect. Problem still continue, he continued thorough check by going under the house to track down the lines. Outcome, James identified the property etc phone jack was not the cause of the problem but the information received by slingshot. The installation of Internet was not requested by slingshot to chorus for the modem to work. James recommended for me to call Slingshot again with the steps taken by me and the finding of his result. Payment of his service to hold off until the result of slingshot communication. Slingshot confirmed they failed to create a purchase order for chorus to connect the lines to allow the modem to work. James stated therefore payments of his service should be referred to slingshot for the false information provided to me. Overall, I did not want Marshall Electrical Limited payments to be delayed by slingshot poor customer service with payments and paid as soon as invoice was received. Invoice was cheap as well during the health and safety risk of possible exposure entering a unknown person home. (Fingers cross slingshot will in return take accountability and reimburse myself. However, based on previous contact with slingshot I don't have much faith with their service)
I Highly recommend Marshall Electrical Limited, James demonstrated excellent customer service, guidance and correct information. I'm glad to have someone locally who I can truly trust, they will look after their customer best interest before their financial gains. What we do
James started his apprenticeship in Hamilton in 2005, specializing in large scale construction � including opportunities in the construction of Braemar Hospital, Thames Hospital, Huntly Countdown, and Ibis Hotel. He was also involved in the planned maintenance and shutdown of the turbines at the Huntly Power Station.
A move to Australia saw James work in a company working as their sole breakdown/serviceman before he headed to work in the mines.
While at the mines James worked in the construction of the processing plants which started in Jimblebar Newman in Western Australia (an Iron Ore plant for BHP), to Wollebee Creek in Queensland (Gas plant for the QCLNG project), back to Brisbane for the construction of �legacy way� underground car tunnel, to Chinchilla (Gas Plant for QCLNG project), to Roma building large substation switchyards for UGL (LNG gas project), then finally to Barrow Island off the west coast of Australia for the largest gas project in Australia.
Moving back to Te Kuiti to be close to his wife�s family, James worked with a local company until he started his own business.
Outside of the business, James spends his spare time with his wife Lisa, and their children, enjoying sports, time at the beach and diving. He�s also a loyal supporter of the Warriors, Member on the Board of Trustees of Pukenui Primary School.
James is proud to be involved in the local community.
