"Gave them a call about a toilet cistern overfilling. Mike suggested I first adjust the inlet valve to see if that fixed the problem and told me how to do it. I did it and it worked. "When our hot water cylinder failed recently we were very pleased with Mike's prompt response and help in diagnosing the problem and trying to find a solution. It turned out the cylinder had to be replaced and we had to do this through a company that supplied and installed the replacement (as it was the last one in Auckland) but we would happily have had Mike complete the job if that had been possible. We also found his invoice very reasonable and won't hesitate to use Muir Plumbing for any future plumbing issues."

"I found Mike on this site to help with investigating the source of a water leak and to sort out some water pressure issues. Mike provided solid advice around next steps with take with the leak (which proved to be very elusive). End result after various investigations was having a third party drill in a new waterline which Mike connected up. Mike advised various options throughout the process pointing out which ones would be the most cost effective. All work was finished to a high standard and Mike was very pleasant to deal with. "I have used Muir Plumbing for over 15 years, during that time they have repaired leaks, replaced a hot water cylinder, installed a new laundry tub and the biggest relief for me on my own with faulty pipes in the walls, was when Mike replaced all the old Quest pipes with minimal damaged to the inside walls.
He is always willing to help and cleans up and does a great job.
A watermain leak is the latest task he has taken care of for me and again it was efficient and trouble free.

"These guys did an amazing job. Had a burst water pipe in the ground under concrete. Called 6 different plumbers who all said they were too busy given that it was so close to Christmas and wouldn't be able to fix it until next year. Muir said they could do it the following day but reshuffled some jobs around given the emergency of our situation (we had no running water) and came the same day. Mike located the leak very quickly, cut up concrete, repaired pipe, and lay new concrete. Fantastic job! Would definitely recommend to anyone!"

"Have used them on several occasions. They're a small team and always busy. If its a non urgent job they're great otherwise its hit and miss. But when they do the job they do it and do it well. As for time, they don't stick to a schedule, but will turn up on the day set and get on with the job. Not too hot on the communication side but that is forgiving with everthing else said. I defintely recommend them for all non urgent plumbing work."
