"Murray did a fantastic job of re-plastering a small bedroom for us. We had stripped wall paper off and the walls were quite a mess! Murray got them to a paint-ready finish very efficiently.

"We hired Murray to skim a hallway we had stripped the wallpaper from, and to gib stop the bathroom and toilet we are renovating. He did a great job and was professional and friendly. He talked us through the process before starting, turned up when he said he would, and tidied up at the end of each day. There was one very small imperfection in the plastering that we only noticed when we started to paint and Murray was around promptly to fix that up - so no complaints there. "Murray was recommended to us as a Plasterer so we thought we would give him a try as our usual Plasterer was not available, since then we have only used Murray.
We can’t recommend Murray highly enough, and if anyone is looking for a plasterer then you can’t go past him. He is obliging, will work in with other contractors and work in adverse conditions always with a grin and positive attitude. He is punctual, when he says he will start a job he will do it and kept us informed of time… frames and any problems that could affect the job finishing the job within time frames set.

Murray has plastered and fitted complex covings to a number of houses for us, none of these jobs were straight forward they were complete renovations on old houses with skimming of walls and intricate fixtures to get around and these would have been very challenging to most plasterers but not him. The builder in charge of these projects was a man of fifty years in the trade working for some of the most respected Architects in Wellington and he has a very critical eye expecting only the highest of standards. Murray exceeded those standards in workmanship, his attention to detail is outstanding and when a subcontractor made a mistake requiring a lining changing or a hole cut in a completed wall no problem to call Murray back to re-plaster the wall.

In the early days we got quotes on pricing for jobs and found that Murray's prices quoted were always very competitive so now we get a price from him and don’t bother with others.

He is honest, diligent a problem solver and can be left to work without supervision.

For any jobs in the future we will use Murray and highly recommend him."

"We have used Murray for our plastering needs on several ocasions during renovations in the past.
As with a lot of this type of work the plasterer has their work cut out to cover up inperfections in older buildings, especially if you are wanting a paint finish. Murray always sets himself a very high standard and we would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone wanting work done.
Also, in a conversation with a painter one time, the work of plasterer's came up. This painter had followed Murray… through a renovation and had commented that it was a pleasure to follow a good plasterer through a job because it made his job easier and could get a better finish to his own work."

"A genuine 5-stars from my husband and I for Murray's work.
We have used him for a couple of years now on two properties which have required both new plastering work and old restoration work - including tricky art deco cornice restoration!! The end result has always been superb.
