"Wow, i have dealt with many tradies over the years in many areas and i would rate Craig as one of the best that i have ever dealt with.
He arrived at the time that he said he would, and was very polite and friendly when i met him. First impressions for me say a lot. Once he looked at the scope of the work he had to undertake he got straight into it. Whether it was a tight working space, or if he had crawl on his stomach to fit the ducting (which he had to do) he did not complain or moan about it once. No aspect of the job appeared to be to difficult for Craig. This is a person who will definitely go the extra mile to help you out, so i would have no hesitation at all in having Craig return to undertake more work if it was ever needed. One of the best. "We had a very old (from the 70's) extractor going straight into the roof cavity (rather than externally vented) and a slanted kitchen roof. Aaron provided great advice to get everything fixed up and Craig then completed the install. Both were on time, clean and tidy and explained everything that needed to be done. We're very pleased with the workmanship which involved cutting the steel to match the slanted gradient of the ceiling, adding new gib to the ceiling and crawling around in the roof to get the nee rangehood externally vented. Ours wasnt a straightforward job but Aaron and Craig delivered fantastic results"

"As an electrical company, we use Aaron to install our rangehoods. His team a very reliable and have a high quality of work which is essential to the guarantee we give to our clients. More specifically at the end of December 2020, we were working all hours of the day to ensure we could finish a project so the clients could move in before the Christmas break. At less than 24hours notice, Aaron was able to get a team member to the site and get the rangehood installed. Very happy with his service and will continue to use his services in the future."

Aaron and his team were nothing short of excellent. Communication was always clear and helpful. They were one of the only installers that we found genuinely wanted to help and tailor a solution specific to our home. "As an ex builder with more than a touch of OCD, I'm always critical of tradespeople doing work in my house. I was amazed by the professionalism of this outfit, and couldn't find a flaw in Aaron's workmanship.

Aaron was installing a new range-hood in my kitchen and venting this through the exterior wall, I kept a close eye on what he was doing (my OCD coming out), and was stoked to see he was as meticulous as me when it come to his workmanship.

"Originally we were apprehensive about employing North Shore Installations to carry out our major home renovations, based on the previous client's message. However when reading further below I felt confident that Aaron and his team will complete the job on time and on budget, he did.

Aaron has a lot of experience and knowledge not only about the trade, but he has a natural ability to maximise his client's money. "I initially thought Northshore Installations work was great, despite some issues with invoicing, budget & timing, but lots of things have gone wrong with his work in the six weeks since he finished up.
I got Aaron to restructure some wardrobe spaces in my bedrooms, remove floor tiles in my kitchen/dining, and then took him up on his offer to renovate my garage into an office.
Given his good feedback and expensive pricing I thought I was getting a quality builder.
In the first week after he left I had to call in a plumber to fix some damaged leaking piping in my kitchen. The plumber said it was caused by stability issues with the kitchen cabinetry, caused by 'a dodgy job lifting the floor tiles without adjusting the cabinet legs', causing the cabinets to fall over, damaging walls & plumbing.
I then had to get a builder in to repair the walls & cabinetry. The builder looked over all the building work Aaron had completed and commented on the lack of attention to detail.
A couple of weeks after that it properly rained and I had to call in a roofer to repair leaks in the garage. The roofer also commented on the lack of attention to detail.
There were other issues around invoicing, timing, budget, failure to deliver as promised & professionalism with this company but I'm sure there's a good supplier 'excuse' for all of them that damns the customer.
Overall I'm sad to say I would not recommend Northshore Installations to my mother, my nan, or anybody else."

"We are a small business in the CBD and have had our building manager and at least 5 other "professionals" in to assess our leak and the damage caused by it. Aaron Duffy was instantly able to isolate the cause to the air conditioning unit and was the only person who didn't think our custom built unit needed to be destroyed in the process. Aaron gave up an evening and a public holiday to do the work so our business wasn't disrupted. We are delighted with the finished product and his total invoice was under half some of the quotes we got in. I would recommend North Shore Installations for their great reliability, workmanship and honesty. Aaron will be who I call if I need a new kitchen or bathroom."

"Aaron carried out a bathroom reno for us and did a superb job. He is tidy, quick and skilled. The job involved removing a wall, and a door, the latter was replaced with a wall fill in and it is seamless. at the end all the rubbish was removed and a clean tidy environment awaited the other tradies who Aaron organised, but were employed directly by us, and if we had a preference other than those supplied by Aaron, that was ok too. "I would have no hesitation in recommending Northshore Installations. Aaron was absolutely reliable, his workmanship is of a high standard and he provided good advice regarding options.

Aaron was asked to replace the existing rangehood, but in a way that would not require any modification to the existing kitchen unit. The final result is outstanding, and looks better than the original, thanks to Aaron's idea of covering the ducting tube with a discrete cover.

While he was here, Aaron also fitted a number of window stays in his capacity as a Handyman! He worked efficiently and left everything tidy. His friendly manner and professionalism mean that I will definitely be calling this business again for any future maintenance work.

"For a number of reasons I wouldn’t use or recommend using this company again.

On Aarons initial quote he stated he doesn’t usually buy parts for jobs but on this occasion he offered to purchase the range hood on my behalf. After he revised the quote adding in pickup and delivery for parts, he notified me there would be a couple of weeks of delay because of a big job he was completing. He also offered to lower installation charges if the model being replaced was already ducted, which it was.

On the day of completion I received an email demand for payment. I paid the account and asked for an official written receipt. He promised to send hard copies as soon as he could
3 weeks later I again asked for the receipts, and why there was no deduction as the removed hood was already ducted He replied saying he had been too busy.

When I didn’t receive any receipts I thought Aaron is trying to making this a cash job.
Aaron’s accountant finally replied saying he wouldn’t send me a copy of the range hood purchase receipt as it was purchased in Aaron’s name and was now part of his expenses. I also suspect he won’t give me a copy of the hood receipt because he has added his margin on parts as well.

In my opinion, omitting telling a customer you’re not GST registered and then buying the parts in his name is poor business ethics. As a result I still don’t have the parts receipts and have no means of seeking warranty claim if needed.

Tradies like this often fall fowl of IRD considering the required volume of work at which he should be GST registered....."
