    "i took our outlander for an oil the botany store about a year ago and they pointed out the transmission fluid needed replacing so let them do it.straight away the car started making a strange noise that we had never noticed prior.i took it back and showed the guy and all he said was he didint know what the noise is.slowly the noise has got worse and we are now having to replace the transmission at a cost of $2500( 2nd hand part ). i dont know what they did wrong maybe wrong oil or not enough or too much?seem like nice blokes but they dont know what they are doing, stay away!"

    "I came in trusting the staff to safety services my car as my oil light was on, instead they tell me after servicing my car that the oil light was still on and to go else where to get it fixed, i then paid the bill and got a receipt that didnt have any terms and conditions of the refund policies after that i went to another place in hornby to ask them to help me get the oil light off, when they tried resetting it the car would not let them so when they checked over my car they find my car over filled with over 1 liter of oil which could have damaged my car that i worked very hard for, the oil light turned off after they got it down to a safe level, i was charged 112$ for your staffes error, when i confronted the staff and asked for refund i was told that they had done everything right and there must be other liquids getting in with the oil and that my oil must be so low now the engine might blow, they were wanting to check my car over and add more oil ! I told them no i will take it to get checked again else where and when i did that they told me my car oil is good and at a safe level and no other fluids are leaking into the oil. When i talked to your staff again about getting a refund i was ment with a no we cant do that unless we check your car over and take some of your oil for testing. My trust is gone from you guys so no i dont want you to touch my car again. I will never ever come back here."

    "Went to Botany (Auckland) branch last year to replace the oil on my car. Instead of using the required oil, I have been given the option to choose between two oil grades. Lucky I knew what oil is required.

    During June this year I too my wife's car to the same place to have the oil changed. I noticed that they topped up the brake fluid. As this doesn't show up on their job cart, I asked what brake fluid it was. The answer (talked to the branch manager) was "brake fluid, what do you mean by <what kind>?" And I said that on my other car DOT 3 has to be used. The guy told me that they are all the same. He did not even know the difference between DOT3 and DOT4 and that putting DOT4 fluid in a DOT3 designed circuit would damage all the seals of the entire break system. When I explained this to him he couldn't care less, he briefly dismissed me and left. Absolute cowboys!!!!!"

    "I have been there myself and recommended many friends at start but regretted. Used wrong oil and destroyed 3 cars . 2 of them off the road and one is still poor shape and 2 of them were toyota.

    Oil changers are cheap and quick but the oil is recommended for every 5k change. So you are not really getting bargain as 10k distance requires twice the cost and time.

    Nice guys but disappointed on the outcome and wouldnt go or recommend anyone. This review is for Rotorua but product is same everywhere they use."
