    "Went in for WOF, they have quoted parts for van. Showed me the worn bushes that another mechanic said had been replaced. Gave me a loan car while repairs are being done. No problems at all, would recommend,"

    "I had a WOF done on Sunday and was told it would be around 1hr, it actually took 2.5 hrs. I was charged $55 and I have just checked on the website and it says $45 as does the sign in their waiting room. I was also charged $65 to have my handbrake adjusted while the car was in the air being checked underneath. I have just rung to enquire about this to be told that it is more expensive to run a business on a Sunday and so the extra charge and I should have asked. I asked why this was not advertised on the website or on their board in the waiting room to be told that it was not their website and they didn't have to advertise the extra cost. The man on the other end of the phone talked over me and then became abusive and told me he didn't need my business as there were plenty of other customers. I am left quite shaken by this incident. I have used this business for many years and have never had a problem but it seems they are new owners and I would not recommend this business to anyone and will not be returning."

    "What an absolute joke this place is. Got a quote for $250, charged $770. The cost for parts and labour does not add up and he was not willing to help me understand why I'm paying so much. As anyone would, I got frustrated and wanted to know exactly where my money is going to which the response was rudeness and swearing at your customers? Terrible customer service. Corrupt, money hungry people."

    "Doggie mechanic and full of **** car went in for wof at first failed on some bushes fixed it took it back for recheck failed again on wiper blades and adjust head light what a bull**** and acts like a tough guy lol don’t go there people go to local kiwi mechanics who knows what they doing don’t trust this company at all "

    "I went in for a WOF an the guy failed me on a few things like my front engine needed to be re mounted? Took my car to burwood automotives an
    my car flew through WOF easy, then he said i said i wanted my money back, but i said, because you failed me did i have to pay full price, wouldn't ever recommend on the go eastgate to anyone, they are liers, they only want your money, they don't care, the should not be allowed to do wofs in new Zealand to rip off new Zealanders they should go back to their own country an rip off their own people. I was told to go to the WOF regulatory board, even the guy said I need to go to nzta which is still under construction... You would have to be stupid to take your car here or your just driving into a hole good luck.

    "On the Go at Linwood, it would seem have a reputation for bad practice. This I discovered for myself. I took my car in for a warrant over Labour Weekend. I was a bit desperate to get it done as we needed it for work the following Tues. As expected I had quite a wait - 2 hours. It was finally put through and it failed due to wiper streaks, a blown bulb on the rear rego light and front brake pads. I was told there were so worn it was unsafe to drive. I replaced the blades on the Sunday myself and couldn't find fault with the bulb as it was clearly going. My intention was to get the pads done at On the Go who told me they would be open Sunday and all their signs indicated this. And they seemed very keen to secure the work, telling me they could do a full service. However, they were shut all day. I did get an appt to get the front brake pads done on the Tues at another place I had used before. The mechanic there told me he would have passed them, although they may have failed next time. Certainly, they were not unsafe and I actually saw the pads and they were clearly not excessively worn. I take the vehicle back in for a re-check, very unhappy with the service and also because I had found other mentions of this practice by them on the internet. The mechanic at the other place also said he had heard bad things about this business as well. I was late bring my car back for a recheck and John, the reception guy made it very clear he thought I was out of order for coming in late. He was rude and obnoxious. My gander was up by then as well, as I felt I had been done over to some degree. So John starts to inspect car - and here is the worst park in my account, he now fails the front headlight for having a cover that was not allowing enough light through, which, just three days ago was fine. He also failed my wiper blades which were brand new. There were two significant streaks coming from them on the screen. I lifted them up and there were two small bits of rubber stuck there which, when removed, made them work perfectly. He was clearly there to get under my skin. He quoted me distances that lights must travel and rego plate be seen by and then waved me off to sort it out. Two days later my wife took it back and got the warrant. While she was in there she overhead another conversation with a customer who was also unhappy with the service and exchanged 'rip-off' whispers with him. Stay away from this outfit. They are no good and I would expect will be out of business sometime in the future. You cannot treat customers this way."

    "This is a franchise and live up to the reputation of one. These guys are cowboys who are interested in obtaining your money for as little quality service as possible. They're a bunch of money grabbing, rude guys who shouldn't operate this service. Taye didn't call when car was ready nor did they call when they did extras on my car!!!!!!"

    "I was disgusted by the service I received at On the Go Eastgate. they were late, rude and dishonest. They failed to give me a warrant of fitness after having the necessary repairs done to my car at an alternative mechanics. I then took my car to VTNZ who passed the car with no issues. Avoid them at all costs!!!!!!!"
