The staff on site were very polite, courteous and tidy throughout. We would highly recommend PBF & Daniel for any panting work and use them again for any painting needs."

"My experience with all whom I dealt with at PBF, including the builder who prepped my house for it's external makeover, was smooth running and no hardship at all. Everyone did what they said they'd do and with courtesy. I would recommend PBF services definitely!"

    "Work average. Communication horrible!!!!
I asked for our bathroom and hallway to be painted after the plaster was finished. Dave gave me a quote for both. Plastering finished on Friday the tradesmen told be painting would commence Monday.
Waited around Monday no one showed. Called Dave he said there was a problem with the quote he had only given me figures for the walls no skirting or doors ( meanwhile had been into look at the house and the bathroom was completely gutted so why would I only want walls painted? ). Why he didn't get a hold of me and tell me Friday this was a problem I have no idea. It's now Monday and I have no painters. Dave said he would get back to me with a new quote and never contacted me back. Now it's Tuesday and I am racing to find new painter to complete bathroom before vanity can be hung and bath installed causing another call out to plumber when I shouldn't of had to. I ought to charge PBF for this call out, NOT IMPRESSED!!!!!!

"We are extremely pleased with our dealings with PBF. Their communication was prompt and excellent. Arrived on site when they said they would and Ruel is a ‘gem’, polite, left the site clean and tidy and did a fabulous job. We are glad we chose this company to patch up our very damaged kitchen walls and would have Ruel back again if we need anything done in the future.

"We engaged the services of PBF for our entrance way & stairwell. They were quick to respond to our initial enquiry with onsite visit followed by an extensive itemised quote.
The whole team have performed their duties admirably. Their work is of the highest standard and the end result is flawless. They were punctual, professional and always left our property in a tidy condition.
We will definitely utilize their services again and strongly encourage anyone wanting a quality finish to their walls & ceiling to do the same. Thank you to all the team at PBF!

"Dont use them - they over promised and really under delivered. Bryan made written promises of great quality, professional job done on time - I was happy to pay a premium to have a very good job done. But we got a very poor result. We only needed 3 rooms and a stair case painted. We got 11 different painters from PBF - half of which were new to PBF and first day on the job, a few had no english language at all. They got mInimal supervision - a 5 minute visit and not every day at that. Prep work very poor - in many cases just paint applied over existing dings and dents, door jambs still have their sanding dust painted into them. Fix up patches or dribbles are now showing on most walls and two ceilings.Paint was dripped on new oak flooring, Inadequate protection was used and many scratches on the new flooring where they were working. Final straw was the painter walking around with open pain tin and leaning far over stair case, working away with no floor protection at all over new carpet, despite being asked THREE times to put drop cloths down ( 2 times I put it down for him - 3rd time I said "enough"!). Now they wont finish the job as quoted - I have to get another painter in to fix up their messes and they are trying to bully me into paying them 100% of their original quote when the result is well below par. We have significant damage done to a french door carelessly ripped off its hinge by the painter. And they caused all the other trades delay - they 2 1/2 weeks over time, pushing everyone back on move in date. They were the only tradespeople who let us down on what was a fantastic renovation project. Disappointing. Dont use them. Or call me and I will reinforce this message"
    Arjen responded:
"Yes we could have done better on this job. While I expected this review to be one sided I am shocked and saddened by its inaccuracy. Firstly you changed the start date twice, then you asked us to do the job in three parts because of your own delays. Because you stopped the job twice due to your delays we had to change the team to accommodate. After that two separate foreman requested to be taken off the job as they felt they could not work with you (previously no staff member has ever done this in 25 years). Each team includes an on-site supervisor and two tradesman, admittedly three men where new but did come highly recommended. All other staff had been with us for between one and four years and mostly speak at least reasonable English all supervisors are all fluent. Your expectation that old surfaces would look perfect and new was not based on any undertaking from us. Skim coating of existing surfaces and resurfacing old timber was specifically excluded in writing. I can also say with 95% certainty that this was discussed prior to presentation of the quote. During our third meeting you asked me about straightness of lines between the wall and ceiling where skotia junction was not square, no paint or filler can fix these types of issues this is an older home. Existing plaster imperfections and small textural inconsistencies from old paint or plaster is common in these homes and can’not be corrected by any painter. We invested an additional 62 hours trying to meet your expectations on items expressly excluded from the quote yet we did not charge for these. Unfortunately each time you would find something else. You also interfered with our work by re-sanding finished walls yourself. You said that you thought this would hide defects from the old plasterwork unfortunately it only made things worse. You mentioned sanding dust. We would prefer to work in rooms without other trades this is the only way we can create a dust free environment for the final coat. In the case of your project could not work together hence the final sand and final coat was not done to the doorframes. Touch ups to the wall also where waiting on the final coat after touching blemishes from the original stopping as requested. We really prefer to be judged on our final product. You did not mention in this review that the door hinge was already broken and that the door was partly hanging down waiting for repair, our painter Jason simply did not nurse it correctly but we immediately took responsibility and we offered to pay for the repair. You had your dishwasher placed on our painters drop sheet on the wooden floor as the whitewear arrived too early. We then needed to move this but did not notice that there was a rock from the road in the little wheel a scratch resulted …again the issue was discussed with you and you said that your insurance would cover this. Drop sheets were consistently used but we do have to walk across the floor to get to the work area. By now we had to work around furniture, white wear, carpets, wooden floors and a family. You mentioned that a drop of paint was spilled this only confirms drop-sheets where used as there would have been many more. Finally after several meetings and calls with you we agreed that it was impractical for us complete the final part a mere three days works as our respective expectations where too far apart. The unpaid $4,230 would cover the three days work which you have now decided to do yourself. Im sorry Kim we tried so hard to make this a success but were unable to meet your expectations. "

""..without doubt that their onsite preparedness, their service and follow up, from my experience, is unequalled in the industry. The co-ordination of work from the time they provide quotations to their attention to detail on site and the final inspection of the work that has been done has always been outstanding. They are a company who do what they say. Their work is high quality..." Carey Smith (CEO Ray White) ""

"It was a pleasure having PBF working in my house. We were always kept up to date with the job, had a project manager coming to review the work and when they left in the evening, the house was left as clean as it was found.
I would highly recommend their work and will not hesitate to use them again.

"We received great service from PBF. We had a small job, filling three plate-sized holes in a ceiling. Linden did a perfect job, there is no sign of the original holes. He was cheerful and very tidy, and also happily advised us on a small DIY task. Arjen was good to deal with on the phone. We are happy to recommend PBF."

"I've worked with about a dozen contractors over two house refurbishings. PBF was far and away the best. Arjen, PBF's director, personally measured up our work, did some calculations and quoted a firm price on the spot. And right away asked for the order! Brisk and to the point. PBF's price was on par with others. The professionalism and attention to detail paid by their gib-stopper was outstanding. Prompt resonse to phone and email communications. And everything on time. The gib-stopper told us on the second day he worked that he'd be finished three days later at 2:00 pm. He drove away at 1:15 pm! And he left behind a clean and tidy work area."

"We used PBF to plaster a few rooms in our house which we had just renovated. The service was professional and they were outstanding as we had a very short time frame to get the job done. PBF went above and beyond to accommodate us by working late one evening and then again on a Saturday. Without their extra effort we would not have been able to keep to our tight time frame.
