"Dion and Sam are timely, communicative, incredibly fairly priced - and most importantly a couple of good blokes that did a great job. They completed a large deck, repaired a fence, and installed large planter boxes to transform our outdoor area, and create additional privacy. Throughout they adjusted their plans to meet the needs of the site (and us) and kept us informed on what was changing, why, and seeking confirmation before proceeding. Will definitely use again. "

"Dion & Sam did an excellent job building a 36 meter fence for us. There were some challenges along the way which were handled calmly, competently and professionally. They were very reliable and kept us well informed. The fence looks fantastic and the price was reasonable. Will definitely have them back for further work ( that endless list of reno's) ;)"

"Dion and Sam spent 4 months renovating my 1920’s bungalow which included a kitchen, family room, bathroom and laundry. They were professional, communicated daily with progress and talked through issues that arose which were uncovered during construction - nothing was a problem.
The finished result is everything I could hope for. I returned home to a spotless, beautifully renovated home which is a dream to live in and enjoy.
I highly recommend Dion and Sam to anyone who is looking for… capable and reliable craftsmen - whether it be building or landscaping. Their finished work I give 10/10. I am truely rapt with the result"

"I have just had Dion create a very complicated deck/terrace from my living area - the deck is on the top level of my 3 level property and required great skill and professional ability to work with the engineers and other tradespeople. The whole experience was amazing - Dion has a rare building skill in terms of execution and together with Sam completed the project in an seamless progression - there were challenges along the way but nothing that Dion couldn't deal with and this client is over… the moon with the end result - exactly what I had hoped for! "We absolutely love our new outdoor living area that Dion and Sam created for us! Dion helped us plan the fencing, landscaping and patio area, and also made sure that they did a thorough check/replacement of the plumbing outside before laying down the concrete. He was also very accommodating when we changed our minds (or couldn't make out minds up!) and also supplied us with lots of design/material options – to suit our budget and needs. Dion and Sam's finishing/attention to detail is also… great! We couldn't be happier. Thanks so much!"

"Dion did a large piece of work in our backyard consisting of a patio concrete slab, retaining walls, extensions to our deck and new plant boxes as well as outdoor steps and a new uber-amazing shed/water-tank housing.
He worked with our thoughts and designs, updated on those ideas that could be improved or were maybe too expensive and took pride and care in his work. We have since enjoyed out new area a number of times, and looking forward to many many more over summer.
We've booked Dion… to return to do the front landscaping of our property in a year and we are really looking forward to it.

He communicated to us about each step of the process, billed us weekly and kept us informed of any changes due to weather or other third party delays.

You won't go wrong with booking Dion to turn your ideas into a reality."

"Dion has done numerous jobs for us - he fenced our property in 2012, laid a concrete foundation and deck for our new cedar shed in 2013, fully lined and insulated the shed in 2016 and did considerable pre-paint repairs to our 100 year old weatherboard house in 2017. He has a fabulous work ethic and excellent attention to detail, and is an all-round great guy! We wouldn't hesitate to get him back again. "

"Dion and his team carried out an excellent job laying a concrete pad and adding to/repairing a deck at our three-level townhouse on a difficult central Wellington site. He designed and organised an access pathway, improved drainage, laid a very good slab and carried out the woodwork to a high standard. We were impressed. Communication was excellent, despite our being overseas at the time. Dion's emails are clear and he uses good photos to illustrate his points. Very impressed."

"Dion did a fantastic job that involved pulling down a wall between my kitchen and dining room. He put up a supporting beam (building consent was needed) and then created a breakfast bar/island. He is detailed, professional and works to a very high standard. Highly recommended! "

"As we were living in the house with a baby that turned 1 year old during the renovations (3 room extension, new deck, internal wall and chimney removed) and it was the middle of winter, having a good working relationship with our contractors was very important to us. Dion went out of his way to keep us updated, consulted and have his team work around the babies needs when possible. Dion approaches his work in a friendly, professional manner and works hard to keep quality consistent and costs… reasonable. We are very pleased with the results and intend to work with Dion on future projects."

"Dion project managed and carried out alterations and landscaping to the front, side and back of our property as well as a minor kitchen remodel. All aspects of the project were carried out with the utmost care and eye to detail. Dion is a perfectionist and is not satisfied with anything less than 100%. The project came in on-time and even slightly under budget. We were ecstatic with the results and our house looks amazing as a result with a lot of value added. We couldn\'t be happier with… Dion\'s performance and would not hesitate to recommend him. We have a further renovation project scheduled hopefully for later this year and will be using Rugged Outdoor Solutions without a doubt!!!"

"I couldn\'t recommend Dion highly enough. I have recommended him to a number of people already. One of Dion\'s great strengths is his network of sub contractors. They are reliable and work to Dion\'s standard. That includes a sparky, brick layer and concrete folks.
Dion did not quote prior to the job starting, however he gave a detailed estimate. Throughout the project we received very regular updates on burn rate of hours and materials used. The end result was very close (slightly… lower) to his original estimate. Not bad considering some of the alterations made during the course of the project.

Gus is also a nice part of his crew."
