"Nick tiled the backsplash in our kitchen a week ago. I chose small tiles which did not make the job easy but Nick layed them beautifully, He is meticulous with his tiling and grouting and we are very happy with the end result. "We've never been more disappointed with a tradesperson in our lives. The communication was awful and despite several requests and texts for a simple waterproofing certificate that we can provide Auckland Council all messages have been ignored.

We could put up with his temper and demeanour but it isn't acceptable for a registered waterproofer to not provide a simple waterproofing certificate.

The shower has been installed incorrectly and we are now contemplating it's removal which involves breaking most of the tile work.

Our next and only option is via our lawyers and the courts. What an awful outcome for something that is so frightfully simple.

I cannot recommend anyone use this man's services for any bathroom renovations. You will live to regret it as we are.

Bathroom was completed in September 2020. It is now October 2021."

"My bathroom was really challenging. It had been built as a wet room - with curved concrete edges in the floor and tiling panels on the walls . I wanted to create a proper shower cubicle without ripping everything apart. Nick got what I wanted immediately. He considered how he could create something that would not only function well but would look great. He created a plinth on the floor tiled that and the walls and put up the glass screen and sliding door. It was really difficult to create and to get it all together - waterproofed tiled and sealed but he kept on until it was finished . I now have a beautiful shower which has been done to the highest standard of workmanship. Nick is a true craftsman . It was a fair price and he did it within a week. Great communication and a genuine good man."

"Tiler came when suppose to, but left grout untidy near hob and at other end of bench did not line the trim up with bench. "Nick completely renovated our entire bathroom from the ground up and did an absolutely amazing job, with stunning results! We initially got in contact with Nick after reading some great reviews to ask if he would re-tile our newly renovated kitchen. He got the job done quickly and flawlessly for a great price, and we were so impressed with the quality of his work that we asked if he would be able to take on a massive, long-gestating bathroom renovation project we'd been putting off for a while. We were confident we'd found the right man for the job, and we were absolutely thrilled with the work he did!

We are humbled and impressed with how considerate he was of our needs throughout the process, making some compromises that made his job more difficult to accommodate our needs, and we are so very grateful that he cared so much to make our lives easy during the process of the bathroom renovation (we have a single bathroom/toilet in our home, so this project obviously presented some challenges).

Nick is a perfectionist who takes pride in his work, and his tremendous work-ethic and friendly manner made it a pleasure to have him in our home completing the work nearly every day for two weeks. "Unfortunately this is not a good piece of feedback for this business. Nick dropped a tile on my new bath, chipped it and tried to hide it with some silicon. It would have gone unnoticed if it wasn't for my plumber who came to do the final fit out and brought it to my attention . I remember the day clearly now as I heard a tremendous crash coming form the bathroom and , as he didn't come to see me at the time, thought he must have dropped a piece of equipment. He was very careful to hide it until he had finished the job and vanished but luckily for me, and unluckily for him it was spotted before I handed over the money. Very courteous and his work was fine... But totally dishonest definitely cannot recommend."

"Nick did a tidy job re-tiling a shower-over-bath in my 1970s house. The job had the additional challenge of waterproofing and tiling around the sills of an adjacent window, and this was done thoroughly and neatly. Nick was friendly, professional, and reliable. "Nick did an amazing job for our Laundry and Bathroom Floor. He came on the same day I first called and gave a very competitive quote right on the spot. And whenever i text him with questions, he call me back within 5 minutes. On the day for the job he arrived on the dot. Before we started the job, we discovered that one of the door will potentially become stuck, he was very kind and helped me removing the door, it was not ordinary door it was a pocket door, without Nick i wouldn't know how to remove that door. The tiles we have chosen was long thin tile which was very difficult to tile. This was no problem to Nick at all, he was very patient, installing the tiles one by one, and asking for my opinion on how to cut the first tile as we go. After he finishes, the quality was amazing and he kept the working area very tidy. Big thanks to Nick for his fine work. I would highly highly recommend Nick!!"

"We initially requested Nick to just tile our kitchen splash back, but after seeing the exceptional job he did on this we then asked him to retile the bathroom and toilet. His tiling work is of the highest standard.
He was quick to quote our job and subsequently always responded quickly to my texts and phone calls.
His tiling work is superior to work I've had done in the past. Even my parents who are experienced renovators were so impressed with Nick's work that they plan to only use him for any future tiling work.
Nick is honest, polite and trustworthy. He gave us good ideas and suggestions along the way - these were never about making him more money. His experience shows in his recommendations and workmanship.

"When another tiler I had used previously let me down I phoned Nick on very short notice and asked him to look at fireplace and water feature that I needed clad with large format basalt tiles. "I contacted NIck at New Look via an advertisement in the local news paper. He responded promptly and provided a quotation for retiling a bathroom, part of a major renovation. I am a professional in the building industry, and can highly recommend NIck for tiling work. He pays a great deal of attention to the setting out of the tiling, a necessary step essential to end up with a quality result. The workmanship is really excellent from someone who is experienced and knows what he is doing. His advice during the job was also very helpful. The finished work is really excellent, and we are very pleased with the result. The job involved 24 sq m of floor and wall tiling, and complicated angles, and working around other trades. The job was completed on time. If you are looking for an expert tiler, then Nick is the person I can highly recommend.

"I called Nick from a local paper ad after spending over a month trying to get a tiler to do our bathroom and loo at a reasonable price and to be able start reasonably quickly as we had chaos in the bathroom.Nick came around straight away,gave us a really competitive quote and was on the job promptly within three days and on time.His work is superb.He is from Macedonia in Eastern Europe where tiling work is extensive and has been an art for centuries.He was here on the dot every day with excellent advise and completed our job in two and a half days.I highly recommend Nick for excellent value,prompt efficient service and a quality job.A lot of local NZ tilers could learn a thing or two from him in how to look after customers."
