"I've known Dave for a long time - he's one of my best friends - but that had no bearing on choosing Dave to install window film for me. I picked Dave because I know, from having seen his work and chatted about film, light and heat transmission, and related topics over the years I know that Dave really knows his stuff. So, having had new glazing through the whole house the next step was window film to finish the job. Dave gave great advice on the right film based on our needs for the house (reduction of glare, fade, and solar gain; and some more privacy!), completed a thorough measure and quote, and checked back to see we were on the right track. Install dates were booked and done quicker than expected. Our new windows are PVC frames which have a rubber seal in them so Dave made up a straight edge sized precisely so he could trim the film evenly and easily without nicking the seal - that bit of extra work up front made Dave's job faster and a lot neater than if he'd used standard tools. We have 4 indoor cats in the house, so Dave had his work cut out for him with cat hair being something that settles on glass really easily, along with the nose-prints! Dave's thorough cleaning regime before putting the film up made sure the glass was spotless under the film and he only had to re-lift a couple of edges to get out hairs that'd floated in post-clean. At the end of the job, everything was neat and tidy and the effects of the film were immediately obvious. The day after install was hot and sunny so we chose to test things by leaving the house mostly closed up and the a/c off, which would normally make the house a bit of an oven, and although it got a bit warm it was remarkable (although not surprising to me) how big an effect the film had. Great advice from Dave on the right film for the house, excellent install, fantastic result!!"

Recently we broke a small window and David came over and installed a new film on the window, we talked about how the old film still looked like new after 19 years. We were happy with the service we got in 2003 and we are still happy with the service we get now. We were glad that he still came over even for such a small job."

"David's price was great and he knows all the physics and chemistry behind his products. He can clearly explain this and what it will achieve for holding heat in or out, blocking UV, how it works with glass, how to clean it, etc. He really knows his stuff and is super pleasant to work with. "David may be an experienced applicator of window film but his performance is not recommended when it comes to replacing film and matching. I had a difficult job which required him to match existing film because his price to replace it was so expensive - $155 /sq m + GST.Because of the price I only had film replaced on windows that needed it due to the film breaking down therefore matching was a problem. He also damaged my wooden floor which now needs replacing with cost to me to get adjacent rooms replaced because the flooring cannot be matched.
I contacted him 3 times over the course of the contract and although he turned up the first time promptly he never sent me the quote he promised. I contacted him a second time and he tried to match the film - and still no quote. When I contacted him the third time (6 months later) he turned up and had the wrong film for the job. He gave me a quote per metre when on the job. There were several hold ups through the job for personal reasons but he was always late although the quote did not appear to be related to the time spent. All in all I would not recommend this owner operator to remove and replace film."

"We needed some privacy into our living/kitchen area after a change of ownership on the neighbours property and having tinted windows in the house some years back this seemed the best option as we still love the outlook and didn't want to loose it. The company we originally used are no longer about, so I contacted David through a mutual contact, he supplied a price and recommended a product without even seeing it.
Once given the go head, it was installed promptly and we are all really happy with the final product."
