    "My Bosch washing machine wasn't spinning. I contacted Tharcold / Jones Services and described the fault and gave the lady the washing machine model number. She went and spoke to someone in parts and they worked out that it was more than likely the motor brushes. The tech came and fitted the motor brushes, He was very helpful.The whole process was made so easy by these guys. Very happy with the service."

    "Very happy with the service. The lady on the phone was great. She asked me questions to find out what part was required to fix our oven and checked to see if they had the part in stock and they did. The technician that came to my rental property was very knowledgeable and professional. Should the need arise I will be using Tharcold again."

    "Have used Tharcold for the past 6 years for my appliance repair. I have occasionally gone for a cheaper option but each time regret it. My recent experience with them repairing my range good prompted this review. It took a while to get sorted, not a straightforward issue but they kept me posted the whole time while they got to the root cause. They were fantastic in getting it sorted properly, communicated properly throughout the process and the repairman was polite, honest and patient with my very high standards. I will continue to use Tharcold, they know their stuff and I know I can trust they will do the right thing!!!!"

    "Kitchen Things and Tharcold are sister companies. We bought a hob and an oven from Kitchen Things and asked who could install it. They said "Tharcold". All Tharcold actually do is deliver the appliances and plug them in. They don't install them. Their "technician" is not a registered electrician and won't actually fit the hob. In short their understanding of the word "install" and mine are quite different. Fortunately we have some extremely good local service people who are doing the job properly. To cap it all the "technician" managed to leave mud all over the floor which must have been on his boots from a previous job as he didn't have to walk on a lawn or garden to get to our front door."

    "Terrible experience all the technician did when he turned up was say all okay- wiped the inside with a cloth and then stung me with a $90 minimum call out bill. will never use again and will be complaining to Miele."

    "This is the second time I've had to deal with this company. We have a $10,000 fridge/bio fresh/freezer from Liebher. It is no more than 4 years old which we purchased on the recommendation of a sales agent at Kitchen and Things Kaiwharawhara.

    The service you get after having paid this money is disgraceful.

    My fridge unit ended up faulty. After weeks of being without a fridge with a family of 5, it took emails and overseas phone calls to worldwide head offices to get a replacement out of this service organisation.

    Now our fridge handle is broken. I called 4 weeks ago to request the new part. The lady I spoke to in Parts said she would get back to me about securing the part. I left landlines and a cell number. I never heard from her again. I called two weeks ago and spoke to Bruce. I explained this was the second time I was calling. I gave him details of my fridge and explained the problem. I repeated my contact details. He said he would get back to me later that day. I never heard from him again either.

    I rang again 4 days ago saying this was the third time I had called asking about the replacement part for my fridge. The parts receptionist (who I think was the lady I spoke to in the first instance) said she had only just received a reply about the spare part (what a coincidence) and would send me a picture via email to find out whether I needed to replace the whole handle or just part of the handle. I gave her my email address and my contact phone numbers - again. It has now been 2 working days and the weekend is all but over and I have yet to receive anything from this service company.

    If there was a competitor in the market to supply this part, I would have taken my business elsewhere as clearly Bruce and his team aren't interested in providing clients service when it is has been requested - 3 times.

    "Unimpressed. We described the problem with our fridge and they sent around someone who didn't even investigate that problem, even when I spoke to him when he got there and told him that this is what we wanted him to investigate. Instead he went off on a tangent about the freezer being too cold (and it was too cold because of a problem with the control panel, which is what we asked him to address). By the time he left he hadn't even tried to look at the thing we called him out for. He wasted his employer's time."

    "We had a problem with our 3 year old, out of warantee, Bosch front-loader washer. We called Tharcolds and they came and took a look and informed us that the engine had blown up, the motherboard was had it and the element was gone! Very expensive!! Not good for a machine only 3 years old we said. They agreed and negotiated with Bosch on our behalf to have the matter resolved. Long story short, these guys bent over backwards for us and although it took over a month, they sorted it out. Could not recommend them highly enough. Big ups to Bruce and the service crew. Thanks for great service and a great job."

    "They arrived the same day I called, and it was a busy week for them... right before Christmas! The guy came in and was friendly and did his work very efficiently. My washing machine was fixed very promptly and well."
