He was prompt with his visit and quote, the price for full upgrade was good and the alteration was swift and seamless. We were extremely satisfied with the whole process. Another company had done an alteration at another of our properties, and what a disaster. No problem, Richard turned up and repaired another companies work absolutely to our satisfaction again. for some reason a perfectly good basket was suddenly broken in pieces needed a replacement and the guy took 9 days to turn a green pool to blue - with 6 visits - absolutely disgraceful.This is ridiculous just dragging out a job to get more money.NO THANKS
when i first moved here Partridge pools did the same job and the pool was much worse condition in 2 to 3 days and under 200
Do not use this company - the only reason i… didnt go back to partridge is they dont do full maintenance in my area but Partridge Pools is a good company
"Christie Flint responded:"We are very sorry that you feel this way and that you didn’t give us a chance to respond to you in the first instance. The approximate price I gave you over the phone of $150 +gst was for 2-3 hours of labour (which should be sufficient for an average green pool) and I told you that travel, chemicals and GST were additional (we only add what is required, and don’t know what that will be until we get into the job). You also mentioned on the phone that another pool company did not want to clean your pool. On arrival, we found that your pool was exceptionally dirty- our valet technician noted that there was a wasp nest, a dead hedgehog and some dead birds in the pool, one of the pool walls was falling in and the pool surrounds were covered in bird excrement (possibly why the other company did not wish to clean your pool?) As the work commenced, our valet tech kept in constant contact with you, advising of additional visits and your responses to him were pleasant and agreeable. You gave approval to replace the broken skimmer basket ($42+gst) which, unfortunately, do become brittle over time and need to be replaced (every couple of years). At the completion of the project you told him that he had done a great job. Our costs are very transparent- Overall the job took 5¼ hours to complete over 6 visits. We only charged you one travel charge of $30+gst and your pool consumed $198.68+gst worth of chemicals to come right. You were very happy with your pool at the end of the project and we were surprised by your response here as your text messages do not reflect this sentiment (we are happy to share these if anyone would like to view). 100%"Exceptional service from Richard. He phoned the morning after I sent a late night contact e-mail and visited that afternoon. He gave very helpful advice to a relatively new pool owner but was not at all pushy and very happy to work through things one step at a time, rather than encouraging us to spend a fortune on things we didn't actually need. He completed the work he did in the time he said he was going to and we are very happy with the result - getting our pump cleaned out and running… properly again. I would highly recommend The Pool Man team - fantastic service all round. In comparision, I had completed a referral form for another pool company a few days before I contacted The Pool Man. They have an honest, trustworthy and reliable team who are punctal in the times they turn up and for me the peace of mind knowing we could trust them in our house when were not there made all the difference. 100%"Christie repaired a leak in my pool back in October. This involved replacing the skimmer, and resurfacing some tiles around the pool. Christie gave me a much more reasonable quote than the first company I had tried, and did an excellent job of the repair. The tiles were particularly hard to match, and Christie spent considerable time to find the right tiles, without adding this extra time onto his original quote. The tenant commented to me that the job was really very well done. Christie also… gave the tenant some useful tips regarding the pool. 100%"I am loath to even review this company as it will no doubt result in more work for them and perhaps a delay in the future for me- but hey- they deserve the work. After NIGHTMARES with several other pool companies, we got hold of Christie. This was based on reviews from no cowboys. He arrived on time, rang in advance, was friendly, professional and quickly identified that we did not have a problem with our filter (as previously advised) and really there was no need for us to have paid hundreds… of dollars to have a drainlayer come and expose all the pipes!!! that sorted, we commissioned him to change the media in the filter, sort out the chemicals, cap off our spa pool pipework and this was all done within one week of contact. There was no advance quote, but the price was honest and fair and well itemised. We really appreciated that we finally had some expertise on the job and cannot recommend this company highly enough. Thank you so much- we will be in touch to get the spa integrated into the pool come winter when your work slows down a bit! He came to the initial site visit on time and quoted within days of the visit.
Given the size of the Job I have had to involve several other trades people to complete various other tasks.
Christie is an excellent communicator and he was very patient with my forever changing scope and time frame.
The job went ahead on schedule and as per the quote.
Christie needed to organise many other tradesmen to complete certain jobs and they all arrived… when they were meant to and did what was required to a high standard.
We are very happy with the workmanship and end result.
His company is presently valeting the pool for us and we are happy with this too.
If only all of the other Tradies I have used on this job were as good as Christie was I would be happy. He was so good I even tried to get him to do other parts of the job.

0%"On one occasion the operator left the pool slowly emptying, which meant a massive water bill when it had to be refilled. On the last occasion their new operator decided for some unfathomable reason to turn the heating off. By the time we noticed the temperature had fallen so low that it took a week for us to get it back to swimming levels and we are expecting something of a blip in our next fuel bill. We are really over having to check on their employees\' work almost every time and then have… to tell them about it. In addition to the parts that have gone missing, gates left opened by the inadequately trained staff and damaged equipment there is just an overall lack of attention to detail and service. We also looked for cheaper alternatives and didn\'t find one that would actually get the job done. Some of the parts that needed replacing christie would always try and find cheaper alternatives, not just hit you with a really big invoice.
