"Thoroughly recommend Bernd. He completely renovated our bathroom, demolishing the existing bathroom and tiling floor and walls of new bathroom. He offered suggestions and ideas and had the expertise when dealing with a unispan floor that needed to be built up to create the correct fall for the walk in shower. A very friendly and efficient tradesman who we would use again.
The finished bathroom looks fabulous and we could not fault his workmanship.

Thankful that he could arrange dates and times and honour them by being punctual, polite and courteous towards our home and child so much so he even gave a quick lesson to my 6 year old who thinks hes the bees knees. "Bernd installed my new kitchen splashback today, with very complicated/ fragile tiles to cut. Not only did he give careful attention to the tiling, he consulted with me on every aspect including the colour for the grouting. He is so cheerful and trustworthy. I knew I could leave him in the house so I could keep other commitments and that he would secure the house when he left. Not only did he do that, but he turned my precious mats up the right way when he left and he took all his 'rubbish'… with him. Other kitchen 'tradies' could learn a lot from Bernd. "Bernd was on a list of recommended tilers, and he was the easiest to get a quote out of. Bernd completed the work efficiently, and gave good advice about grouting etc when I needed it.
There were some challenges with coordinating tiling with the other work at this cafe renovation. The tile wall was above, under and adjacent to other pieces being installed, but because Bernd worked so fast, the other trades ended up building on his foundation.
The tile wall is a real feature of the cafe, and… we look forward admiring Bernd's quality craftsmanship (or 'handwerk' as they say in German) for many years to come."

"Bernd came and laid the tiles in our entrance way at work. What a wonderful job he has done. Bernd chose the tiles as we needed tiles that were non slip as our entrance way gets wet from rain coming in the open door, and he chose the perfect tile. "Bernd's tiling work in our kitchen renovation is exceptional! We agreed to his advice to lay wall tiles in a tile-on-tile rather than brick pattern, and the result is stunning. The tiles themselves were very cheap, at $16 per metre, but Bernd's workmanship has made the kitchen look a million dollars. Our kitchen recently featured in two advertorials, one in a local newspaper and the other a community magazine - both articles favourably mention the tile work. Bernd is a master craftsman."

"I couldn't be more happy with my choice to have Bernd tile my kitchen. Communication was excellent right from the quote stage throughout the process. Bernd arrived every day exactly when he had stated. His knowledge and workmanship gave me the utmost confidence. His experience and eye for detail were vital when faced with an unusual grain in the tiles. His recommendation for the colour of the grout was perfect and i am thrilled with the final result. Bernd worked carefully and efficiently… and it made a huge difference that he left the site clean and tidy each day.

"We contacted Bernd for a quote to tile our kitchen, he replied promptly and arranged a time to come over and quote. We were happy with the quote and the communication. Bernd completed the job to a very high standard, he communicated with us throughout the process about decisions on grout and silicone colours. We went with his advice and were very happy with the outcome. Bernd left the kitchen spotless at the end of the day. Finally came on Saturday and put up our kitchen shelving which was… over and above the tiling job. "Bernd has done several jobs for me on my Mission Bay house recently - retiled the front step, installed a water stop in the walk-in shower in the family bathroom, repaired the ensuite shower that was leaking through the floor and repaired the grouting/tiles on a large expanse of kitchen tiles. All work has been done to an extremely high standard. Bernd is brilliant to deal with - communicates well and turns up at the house when he says he is going to be there. "Bernd has just finished two tiling jobs for me, the entrance way outside my front door and re-tiling my bathroom floor, walls and shower. Due to a leak shower the entire bathroom needed to be demolished and re-tiled. I had family help with the demolishing to save with costs and several times when we came across a challenge Bernd helped us out in his own time either during the week or on the weekend. He even loaned a power tool to help with lifting the old tiles.
He always turned up when… he said he would, kept in contact throughout the job and also left everything clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble and he also helped out with contacts for other trades and met them onsite for me if I was at work and couldn’t be there.

I am very pleased with his work and will definitely call on him again if I have further tiling jobs, as well as recommended him to my family and friends. Thanks very much Bernd! - Carolyn"

"We live in a heritage apartment building in central Auckland, and we needed some sophisticated tiling done in our kitchen urgently. We were fortunate enough to find Bernd, and he was kind enough to be able to come sooner than expected. We've been living in renovations chaos - with busy lives etc - and Bernd has been able to restore a lot of sanity to our project and to our lives. "Bernd re-did our ensuite bathroom and I would highly recommend him to others. He is a fantastic communicator, keeping us informed every step of the way about what was happening and when, any changes we needed to make to the plan and who would be coming/going and when. He always came when he said he would and the work was finished on time, which was important to us as we had a baby due immediately after the work was due to be completed. He worked in our home for about a month and was always a… pleasure to have here - he always had a smile on his face and was very respectful of our family life happening around him. He befriended our children and even let our daughter place the last tile for him, which she loved! "Bernd did a brilliant job for us. It was a very small job that we had, and he made time on the weekend for both quoting the job, and then coming back and completing it.
He was very patient with our three year old daughter who was fascinated in what he was doing, and even helped her put the last tile in to place (so that she can forever say that she tiled our fireplace).

"Bernt has been a fantastic tiler for us on two houses - our current house and our last house. In our current house he tiled our halls, bathrooms, splash backs and our outdoor areas including pool. He has also done all the waterproofing in our bathrooms. Bernt has gone out of his way to fit us in so it fits around our lives and the other tradesmen working at our home. "Bernd tiled our bathroom (floor and walls), kitchen, dining room, laundry, closet floors and areas in front of the ranch sliders. Bernd was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable to deal with. He went out of his way to give us the finish we wanted in our bathroom, and living areas. Bernd tiled and helped us with designing and choosing the right tiles. He kept us informed throughout the process and suggested alternatives for obstacles. He was efficient and on time. Bernd used drop sheets and… left our areas clean after they were completed.
