    Just wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation for your great customer service at the email end, both times, with Nish who was easy to deal with, helpful and organized to get someone out promptly (within 24hrs of contact). And to Derek at the face to face end for his friendly manner and explaining the issue.

    "I rang Topline Plumbing in a panic as I could hear a water leak but couldn't work out where it was. They calmly took the details and said they'd try to get someone to us later in the day. Lo and behold, less than an hour later, I had a call from a lovely plumber who asked if it was convenient to come now. He arrived and fixed the problem in a very short time. We were so impressed with the speedy service, his friendly manner and his can-do attitude. Topline came through for us again - as they always have in the past."

    "An apalling experience! A simple plumbing job replacement of toulet cistern part. Plumber came promptly which was great - said needed to source part - fair enough. 3 weeks no contact. Called them and response - no part available... can not give you alternative... wont provide part number or supplier detail so i can follow up. Stated dont know part nunber which seems odd given also stated no part available! Now left with dismantled toilet cistern... and refusal to provide manager contact to speak to - just info email. i would not recommend if you are a homeowner seeking reliable firm."

    "Hi Jac, We really regret and are very sorry for the delay you experienced, and acknowledge we should have communicated better, explaining the difficulty we were having trying to source the part to repair your cistern. We had the very best of intentions to try to find the solution for you but unfortunately for all involved, for reasons beyond our control we weren’t able to help with providing a repair option in this case. If we don’t have a part in stock usually we can source it, however in this case there was no part number we could identify (which we agree is highly unusual). We did check with our suppliers and there were no exact replacement options in NZ, based on the shape of the valve and we also couldn’t find anything reliable elsewhere. Our team spent quite some time on this job, including the initial site visit by the plumber (of whom told us re-instated the toilet before leaving) and also the behind the scenes work trying to source a part - we have not charged you anything. In normal circumstances when a part is unavailable due to being obsolete, we would suggest replacing the cistern and seat. Thank you for your feedback which we have taken seriously and again we apologise for the time taken to respond to your cistern repair solution. "

    "We got a fireplace ignition issue this year, it was obsolete model we couldn’t get any support from the manufacturer. It’s lucky that we got Topline technicians coming to investigate the issue, find out the root cause (control module issue) and help us search the part supply then finally fix it. We were extremely happy with the services Topline provided.The fire is now burning better than before. Well done!"

    "We engaged Topline Plumbing to replace all our legacy underground water supplies of a 8,000 sq/metre building with a state-of-the-art overhead Copper supply ring system.
    The results were perfect and without disruption to our business operation. All final connections to factory , office and amenities were successful and the underfloor system successfully isolated.
    The tradesmen were efficient, polite, and left our site tidy.

    "We couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Topline. When I rang I was extremely frustrated because the plumber we’d been using previously had visited us three times since January and we yet still had a leaking toilet and he wasn’t taking calls before Christmas. I look at the reviews on nocowboys and decided to call Topline. Nish took my call and could hear how stressed I was. He assured me Topline could get the job done and amazingly he was able to send someone around within a couple of hours.



    We’d been told by the previous plumber that it was a big, complex job that would probably require two people, but Samy looked at the toilet, said ‘no problem’ and then he fixed it in just over an hour! As well as fixing the leak, he noticed that the half-flush wasn’t working and he made that work too. I can't speak more highly of the service we received.

    "Great company from start to finish of job! Two guys done the work (Grant & John). The job was started on the day they said they would and was finished earlier then I was expecting also. The guys had great attention to detail with there workmanship and were very professional. Would recommend to anyone.
    Will also add that before I contacted Topline, two other companies told me the gutter I had was fine. When in fact it had major leaks. Topline found the problem straight away and installed a new gutter which does not leak!

    "The Association have reviewed our rating of Topline Trade Services following more work being carried out at our facility, that required fast efficient and prompt service.
    Being a community hall and with a Kindergarten as a tenant the Association require prompt service. We also need to know that the tradespeople are security checked, reliable and complete a top class job. Being a charitable organisation that hires out the premises and very affordable rates we also need to know that the price we pay is fair and reasonable and not going to break the bank. On all accounts Topline measures up well and have changed our rating to of their overall service to 95%.

    "The Massey Birdwood Settlers Association and Hall is a resident and ratepayers group situated in Massey and owners of a community hall on the corner of Don Buck and Red Hills Road in Massey. In order to keep the hall functioning well and open for the users it requires competent and timely servicing repairs and maintenance. Topline Trade Servicez provides just that and able to work well with our Secretary so that users are not impacted much when repairs to its plumbing is required. Kindergartens an Englich Language School Aikido Housie and many other activities take place in this busy facility."

    "Happy for the job and on time arrival (as agreed).

    BUT, it was not nice experience when it came to the invoice time.

    Apparently they change for base to base PLUS vehicle fee on top, which I don�t recall been communicated to me like that over the phone in first place. They claimed that it was a normal �industry practice�,... Well based on the quotes from other gas fitters it did not appear to as an industry wide practice. In any event, unfortunately, I did not have written quote to prove what was communicated to me initially.

    However, even taking the �base to base� approach, they still overcharged me! And instead of apologising and re-invoicing me to fix their own mistake they are making it look as if they are making me a favor quote to quote �� We are prepared to give you a credit. If you agree this this, I will send you a credit�.

Our company policy for charge out work is for our ops team to confirm our charges with a customer prior to carrying out any works. I apologise if this didn't happen as you say. We do charge base to base to cover the tradesman's time and there is a nominal vehicle charge to cover the cost of running a vehicle to and from your property. We have a standard company dialogue that clarifies these charges in our initial talks. We can also provide written quotes.     "The office sent the plumber to our 'billing' address and not the property address given clearly over the phone at the time of the booking (to which Topline had been before with other plumbing and roofing work).
    Unfortunately, that meant the tenant couldn't wait for the plumber to take rush hour traffic from Campbell's Bay to Kingsland, and we had an otherwise unnecessary trip later in the day for a small job.
    Shane the plumber was excellent - arrived promptly at the new time, explained and fixed the problem with the leaking tap problem, checked all other taps, and left the bathroom tidy.

    The office person did apologise and take full responsibility when rang, and someone also rang the tenant to apologise.

    "We used Topline Building to help rebuild / renovate our Master Bedroom wardrobe. I was impressed from the outset by the level of care each of the Topline people showed to our house, right from the minute they arrived with protective plastic and drop-sheets being laid out to keep our house tidy throughout the project. The quality of workmanship has been very good and communication has also been good. The project took a little longer than planned - but the end result has also been better too - so overall we're very happy with Topline and would recommend to others to use."

    "Workmanship was good but billing is unscrupulous. Quote was half of final charges (no mention of service fee and hourly rate not job rate as told on the phone). Get a written quote if you use this company. Wish I'd checked this website before - seems like overcharges are an ongoing issue!"

    "We regret Claire feels she has been treated unfairly. When a customer phones in to book a job with us, our office staff have a formal qualification process in place which includes verifying our charges with customers before proceeding with any work. We have standard hourly rates across our services broken down into quarter hour increments and a daily service charge which is a fixed mileage charge to and from the property. On top of this, there can be charges for parts and materials should these be required. If a customer prefers to obtain a quote or estimate for the total works this can be arranged for most job types. Our office staff and trade’s team do their utmost to keep our customers informed on price and job progress. Topline has been successfully trading for over 25 years now and have longstanding relationships with many satisfied customers as you can see on our website. We note there have been 9 poor reviews listed on this website over an 8 year period. Although any poor review is disappointing, in context this number is very small especially considering our team’s high work load. Some members of our trade’s team for example, complete 8 or 9 different jobs a day regularly. "

    "Job was to install new gas hob. Thomas arrived and commented that job to replace 4 gas jets and connect the supply pipe was simple and should be finished quickly. Two hours later Thomas advised me there was a problem. A gas jet was stuck and now damaged. He said he thought it was glued in. The flats on the jet had been rounded off. He said to ring the mfr and left. I rang Delonghi and they sent out a technician. He removed the jet in 10 seconds and said he'd never seen this before. The removed jet thread was fine with no glue present. The technician said Thomas had probably used a removal tool that was worn or the wrong size. I called Topline back and Thomas returned and finished the job. The hob worked fine. Then the bill arrived. They charged me for a staggering 4.25 hours and 1.5 vehicle charges for a job that should have taken about 1 hour. I challenged this and sent them photos of the damaged jet. No reply. After the first overdue notice I paid the bill and enclosed another request to reconsider the charge. Still no reply. I do not think this company is interested in customer satisfaction. I no longer trust them and will not deal with them again. PS. Recently I found the hob was not sealed to the bench, after a spill leaked into the cabinet. Hence the poor quality rating. I sealed it myself to avoid any further complications."

    "Called Topline in to repair a small leak in my roof. As my house was two storey they sent two men for safety reasons - fair enough. The guys arrived on time, were pleasant and cleaned out some leaves in the guttering, identified some other repairs that would need doing soon and told me they had squirted around some silicon as there was no obvious hole. Seemed to take a long time to do such a small job though. So they left, I got the HUGE bill and then it rained and I still had the leak! Called the company and was told that to get them to come back and have another go would cost me more. I appreciate it can be hard to find the origin of small leaks but they would not even do one return visit within the original cost. Poor customer service, and no value for money in my opinion, so I will not use them again."
