"We have used Tree Fellas 2x this year, first to cut back large trees on the boundary and second to clear, trim and shape three hedges at the front of the property. Both times they did an excellent job. They first gave us a quote, which we could accept, discuss further or reject. The quotes were sent online in a quick, easy way allowing the click of a button to accept. The quotes were very reasonable so of course we accepted.

They came within a short time of our accepting the quote, a few days later the first quote, the following day after the second. They are cheerful in their work and just get on with it. They clear up really well afterwards. We are grateful for the no-fuss professionalism and highly recommend the Tree Fellas team."

"Wayne gave the quote, and on the appropriate date and time a crew of 3 turned up to do the pruning. The job was a 15 year old Puriri which had grown very quickly.
The arborist trimmed, thinned, and pruned the tree to a requested size and shape. He also advised that it would need repeating in about 3 years time.
The whole crew were polite, respectful, tidy, and obviously experienced.

"I asked TreeFellers to remove 2 very large self seeded flowering cherry trees.
Jimmy and Zed completed the job quickly and efficiently, and cleared up extremely well including the footpath over which the trees hung .
They also did me a small favour by stripping a small area of bark from a dead rimu that I couldn't reach. It would have been a home for wasps over summer.

"When looking at getting some trees trimmed before moving into our new home, I sent TreeFellas an enquiry. Steve was onto it and responded within 24 hrs. We met on-site and he provided the quote within 2 hrs and was also honest in saying that they were flat out and the work would take about 3 weeks due to the demand. The initial contact, after sending through an enquiry, was super quick and while I was happy to accept the potential 2 week wait, the job was done and dusted within a week! "I use Treefellas every year for a major prune and removing dead trees on the property. Because I know their work I am happy to take them on an hourly pay basis and I have never had a problem. This year we had to take out two large trees, the estimate was three hours work, but they finished in one hour including a bit of extra deadwooding on another tree, and that is all they billed. I was so impressed with their speed, tidiness, and cheerful work ethic. They were great to have on the job and I fully recommend them."

"Asked for a quote for a clump of bamboo-like stumps to be removed which occurred very promptly with great communication. After the quote I was a bit worried that there might have been services underneath, so attempted to remove the stumps myself, but then fell and impaled myself on them! Oops! "I employed Tree Fellas based on the reviews. Unfortunately my experience with them left me extremely disappointed with them. They damaged the berms and lawn, left chips over the drive, footpath and road. Didn’t grind one stump and left the chips on another. Left a security gate open and moved my boat down the lawn and left it bogged down there.
They came back the next day to fix things and did such a halfhearted job I didn’t want them back.
Maybe I lucked out and the supervisor was away but When things go wrong, management should step up and personally see things are put right if they want to retain their reputation and customers."

From my first consultation with Wayne to the completion of the job I had to get done, everything was exceptional.

Very good coordination between Wayne the consultant and contracts manager, Ryan the GM, and Alex the team manager of the team that did the work. Andrew and the lady at the office I spoke with were wonderful. Apologies, but I can't recollect her name.

The team of four, that came over headed by Alex, were very hard working, easy to communicate with and humble souls.

"We hired Tree Fellas to cut down our old kowhai tree. The base of the trunk had split and it was leaning onto our boundary fence and into our neighbour's property. We also needed some branches cut back to the boundary line on another part of our property. Our whole experience with Tree Fellas was positive right from Wayne coming out to give us a quote to the guys doing the work. Access to our house was tricky due to a sharp turn in our driveway which meant they weren't able to bring their truck right up to the gate. This didn't worry the guys and they carried out the work in a very professional manner making sure to leave the area tidy when they had finished. The kowhai was cut down without any fuss and no damage to the fence. The workmen were friendly and polite. The fee was affordable and our neighbours were happy. We will definitely use Tree Fellas again the next time our trees need maintenance."

"I was super impressed by the three guys who turned up to do the job. They worked as a team and there was no mucking about as they cleared the pile of tree branches from my property and into the chipper. Their work ethic was totally focused on the job, after 2 hours non stop working I asked if they wanted a cup of tea, they said water, which they drank and went straight back to work. Their attitude was refreshingly positive, a 'Whatever needs to be done we can do it' kind of mind set. I wish all the people I have employed over the years came with this attitude.
I had 3 quotes for doing the job, and Tree Fellas was the most reasonable. One of the other companies I had contacted, complained while giving the quote about about how big the job was and what they would have to do to get the foliage to the chipper ect. I was thinking, 'Ok this guy is setting me up for an excessive quote' and I was right! It was $100.00 more.
Without a doubt, I will get Tree Fellars again next year."

"Well what can I say except excellent in every way. Great quote (over $6000 less than another quote from another company). Arrived when scheduled. The team worked well with one cutting, one cleaning up and one mulching. Our trees where over 10 metres tall and they climbed up them like second nature. The only issue we had was due to wind part of a trunk fell on a large pot which was one of two, but Steve replaced both and had the trees re-potted at no cost and they now look better than the original pots. We did not have to pay until the repairs were done. I really can't recommend them enough and will definitely use them again. Have already recommended them to a couple of other people who need trees cut down. They even cleaned up the neighbours back yard that got covered in sawdust and branches. The men were pleasant and friendly and were just excellent...what more can I say, thanks Tree Fellas :-)"

"We used Tree Fella\'s post a neighbour getting them in. They gave a very good quote to remove 2-3 meters from 2 trees. They did a fantastic job and shaped the tree very well and it made a huge difference to the property. They spent about 3 hours with 3 staff and they removed all the trees pieces. This would have been very hard work as one was a macadamia tree which are hardword and spiky. The yard was left like it was when they started and all this cost $621. "Fantastic job from Tree Fellas. Friendly staff, arrived on the dot for the quote, which was the best out of 3 we obtained by far.
Did arrive a few hours late on the day of the job without notice. Worked hard and finished very quickly as they had another job to go to that day (3pm by that time). Did clean up properly afterwards. The only downside was they left the wood there for us to use as firewood as requested, but they were in huge logs and were not chopped up as I would have wanted. So might have to get them to come collect the wood afterall.
Overall it was a great job for a great price. Highly recommended."

"This outfit charge $120.00 per hour + GST for site inspection and tree report - cost me $400.00 + GST for a report - first copies of report had wrong site address and were useless. My fault for not getting a quote first. I will never do business with them again."

"We obtained 4 qutoes from various companies to remove a large gum tree from our property. The quote we obtained from Tree Fellas was by far the cheapest (1/3 of the most expensive quote!) and they were the only company to follow up after the quote.
They contacted us on the week of the job to ask if it was OK to do the job one day early due to forecast bad weather later in the week.
They arrived, cut down the tree in a speedy and professional manner, removed all wood and foliage and cleaned up both our property and our nieghbours property.
Exceptional work!!"
