"I had a minor, slow moving, self-inflicted accident and chose Heretaunga Crash Repairs (from an insurance company list) because it is close to my workplace. It was a random choice and I could not have chosen better. From the outset, Paul was helpful, informative and personable. Paul explained the process simply and outlined different repair options and timeframes. While assessing my vehicle he made some immediate adjustments to prevent further damage and make it safer to drive while waiting to bring it back (there was a short waiting period). Because I live rurally (no public transport), Paul made sure to book me in when a courtesy car would be available. The repairs required all new parts, which were fitted in less time than estimated. My car was returned clean and polished, with the inside cleaned too. I was also kept up-to-date by phone whenever it was necessary (confirming drop off, pick up etc). Whilst it's not the sort of business you want to return to, if the need arose, I'd go there first. Thanks Paul!"

"I am so impressed I do not know where to start. I took my 24 yr old van in to get quoted to have all dents and the rust taken out along with about 40 odd holes caused by domes from an awning and the whole van repainted. Paul went over it with a fine tooth comb and explained exactly what they would do and how they would do it. It took a bit longer than they anticipated cos after they stripped it down they found the roof and the tailgate was in such bad condition, bits had to be cut out and new metal welded in. My van now looks like a brand new model. Paul and his team did an amazing job. They even threw in some free stuff for me. But over and above all of this what impressed me the most was that every time I rang him, he was always available to talk to me. Not once, was I told that he was 'too busy at the moment'. "I needed some rust repair completed on my car roof for the WOF so went along to these guys to get a second quote (first one was in Wellington City). They were really thorough in explaining what they would need to do and gave me a quote that I thought was fair for the work required, which they kept to with the job. They provided me with a courtesy car, then not only completed the job to an excellent standard (really smooth compared to rust repairs I've had done in the past) and within the time they said they would, they also fixed up another little rust spot that they found for me. Then when I picked the car up, they helped me out with changing 2 lightbulbs since I needed that for my WOF too. Best service ever!!! I would definitely recommend these guys."

I was unaware at the time that my car was only the second 1 they had repaired in this colour, would proberly have gone else where if i had known this! Second respray better but still obvious shes had repairs, and they never blended the colour into my boot. "I got some work done on my 2002 VX SS Holden V8 Commodore. I had a crash that pushed in the front of my bonnet and the front grill and also a seperate crash that smashed in the drivers side. The first crash repair was through my insurance company and the second one i paid cash (got all repairs done at the same time) These guys done an awesome job! they basically painted the whole front of my car and the panel beating was and IS immaculate! I have no complaints.

"Have been to Paul twice now and both times the end results have been exceptional. First time was for a replacement door on a brand new car. You couldn't tell at all it wasn't the original door, the paint was also matched perfectly. It has been three years since this repair and there are no leaks, rattles or any other problems with the door.

The second time was for a paint re-spray due to stone chips on front spoiler and repair/paint of rear spoiler due to a fence falling on it. The workmanship and the paint finish was outstanding again which is a credit to Paul and his team.

On both occasions I was offered the use of the loan car, didn't need it the second time but it was great to be offered it.

Paul was great to deal with, very friendly and accommodating, even was prepared to meet me outside of his work hours so I could pick up the car as I was unable to pick it up during his working hours.

"I would recommend everyone to use Heretaunga Collision Repairs Centre.

I went in to get a second hand SUV I bought bonnet cleaned up and a few other minor issues like scratches and a small dent.

I dealt with Paul. He was honest and direct. He quoted a price at the start and kept with it. He kept me informed of any issues that arose. Such as when they stripped the bonnet it had previously been repaired badly, which he showed me. They sourced me a replacement bonnet but kept the quote the pretty much the same, about $40 more.

The also helped with a few other things I needed done on the vehicle at no extra cost as they would be interacting with that area anyway.

If they found anything while they had the vehicle that they thought I should know they informed me, such as a small oil leak.

I would go back to Paul and his team in a heart beat.

"I needed a panelbeater to do some repair work after a run in with a pipe in a parking garage. I found HCRC using the NoCowboys website.

I've never had to use a panelbeater before so wasn't sure how things would go or what the experience would be like.

Paul was brilliant from word one. Very approachable and knowledgeable and really set my mind at rest about what needed to be done.

"In June I rang Paul for a second opinion on the work that had been done by another panelbeater in Petone through my insurance company. To put it mildly, the job was atrocious - corners had been cut in more ways than one and it was hard for me to look at without bursting into tears.
When Paul looked at it, I could see that he was taken aback by the poor standard of work on my car, but he was very professional and diplomatic in what he had to say, but he said that the work was def not up to his standard.
By law I was required to give the original panel beater the option to fix what had gone wrong. The insurance company was in absolute agreement that the job was sub-standard and supported the re-fix.
We were disappointed again when (after a long stretch) the car came back in a slightly better condition, but still unacceptable. The paintwork had severe runs, there was a new dent and moulding was coming unstuck. I went back to the insurance company and requested that Paul be allowed to fix the absolute crap job by the first PB.
Tonight Paul personally delivered our car to us at home as he wanted to make sure we were happy with the work done. We are blown away and astounded by the quality of the workmanship and finishing on our vehicle, especially as we have a people mover with difficult sliding doors and parts. He and his team have spent three weeks righting the wrongs of another panel beater. They have had to order replacement parts, strip back 3 wonky layers of paint, re-do tricky vinyl, remove paint and grease from the interior and much, much more.
I will be using Heretaunga Collision Repairs without hesitation in future (hopefully not too soon!), as the work, skill and professionalism have been absolutely second to none."

I decided to use them despite me being in Wellington and they being in Upper Hutt as they had good feedback on this site. "We own a jag and it needed some repairs and touch up work done. When we first approached Paul in regards to the above, he was really professional about what Heretaunga Collision Repair Centre could do (some of the damage had been on the car when we bought it three years earlier). He explained the repair process, how long it would take to repair and an estimated cost, showing us the breakdown of the costs (much appreciated). When we went to pick our car up, we noticed the mirror finish as we were walking up the road.
