They were super efficient with the installation of a new powerboard, (inside next to existing fuseboard) and outdoor inverter and Battery cabinet, and obviously the panels on the roof. I called him to investigate a breaker that didn't reset, and he found several issues in this '70s house. He split a huge circuit into 5, replaced the switchboard using RCDs (another electrician had said that it had no more room), replaced all older switches and power points (some didn't work, some sparked), added a new power point, replaced a shaver socket with a power point (and found a surround to… cover the gap between the large hole and the smaller power point), replaced two light fittings with three new lights, and installed a wall charger for an electric car. He also fixed the earth, which had become hardly measurable. The house is now safe again.
He is on-time, friendly and polite, tidy and cleans up afterwards. He prioritises safety. He supplies well-priced components without any markup and is efficient with time. He kept me informed when a switchboard component needed for the wall charger was not in NZ for a time, and was easy to work with when arranging a date to complete the install. He also gave some handyman advice on patching holes where he removed the light fittings.
