    "I don't usually write reviews but I just want to thank the Viaduct Service Centre for being a great honest and reliable mechanical business as such are so hard to find these days.
    I have consulted these guys a few times for warrants, repairs and tires and I have always been so relieved and chuffed about their service. The friendly, informative and fast reception has always been consistent and reliable.
    Being a young woman, mechanics often assume that they can overcharge me or convince me that I need more work than what is necessary. Eg: For my last warrent, Brendon motors quoted me $600 for repairs where Viaduct completed them for more than half the price. Today I had a flat tire and took it to the nearest service centre (Jaycar on Hopper street) who insisted I needed a brand new one for $100, or maybe a second hand one for $80 if I could find it but there would be no way of fixing it. So I took it to Viaduct who fixed it up for me in 15 minutes and charged me $25. I highly recommend these guys. Thanks a lot.

    "Over quoted for work I didn't actually need done to gain a WOF. Took car to other auto repair shop and they told me these guys were just searching for $$$$. quoted over $1000 for WOF, im a student!!! will never go here again"

    "Lifesavers. My car battery went flat. I called viaduct service (recommended) and they said they could come and get the car that afternoon. They would charge the battery overnight, if it needed a new battery might be 250-400. They came that afternoon, (right on time) the next day the rang me up, said there was no problem so they wouldn\'t be charging me - just a simple flat battery. Then they came a dropped the car back. THANK YOU SO MUCH. "

    "I DONT RECOMMEND. SHADEY. .Put my car in today for service and warrant. got a call from Anthony to tell me it needed great list of stuff, more than $1100.00 all up. Just felt dogey to me as things like coolant I could do myself. It was made to sound like I had to have it to pass.
    I was told I needed a replacement seatbelt in rear and an air filter.
    Paid and felt had.
    NB. AN HONEST GARAGE WILL INFORM CLEARLY WHAT IS LEGALLY REQUIRED V JUST RECOMMENDED!!
    THEY SHOULD HAVE LEFT DEFECTIVE SEATBELT AND DIRTY FILTER FOR ME TO SEE

    "I am no longer with these guys though their services were referred to me by a friend of a friend of my fiancee's (oversea's)..went with it, trusted it and gave the guys a thumbs up for their fab service overall workmanship from the office side of things to the workshop. My cars needs were met and catered for accordingly, not to mention whenever a premature sign of mechanical defects was detected during a job they acted upon their professionalism and experience to advise me of that regarding the performance or safety of my car to recruits in training yes unfortunately we have places people and services out there which don't always meet provide or accommodate to their customers needs or individual preferences like my fiancee who is also an auto engineer/mechanic and tradesman,who gains and loses customers for whatever reason's.."

    "Response to Viaduct Servicentre: yet again the mistruths continue to flow from Viaduct Servicentre Kelburn - liability issues regarding cost of tow truck were most DEFINITELY NOT explained to me when Anthony offered to phone a tow truck! As I said before, if he had explained that I would be paying the bill, I would have got a free tow through the AA!! The very first I heard that I would be expected to foot the cost of towing was when I said I won't be having you do the over $1000.00 job to fix the cambelt. It's interesting since I've been telling other people (anyone & everyone) my bad experience with VIaduct Servicentre there are quite a few others out there who have had bad experiences with these guys too & now steer clear of them. I wish I'd known this earlier & wish I'd read the other comments from their ex-customers on this website about them earlier as I hate to think of the thousands of dollars I've probably been ripped off by them over the years. Again the point of doing this, is just wanting to warn the innocent consumers out there that it's certainly worth shopping around & checking other prices from other garages - especially if you suspect the price is a bit high & they might be actually trying to rip you off. Thanks for your kind wishes to find a garage that better meets my expectations - I have done so...it wasn't too hard."

    You phoned us and asked for assistance , we rang a tow truck and explained liability issues to you at that time
    As Prue (not Jane) had been advised on 2 previous occasions about the condition of the cambelt ,we dont feel we are liable at all
    As for expensive We priced the job on your Rav4 to be done properly so we could stand behind any warranty we could be liable for
    Ranting and raving come on I think you may have us confused with some one else Prue we sincerly hope you find another garage that meets your exceptations

    "I recommend you DO NOT take your car to the Viaduct Servicentre. If you do, I suggest you spend a little time getting quotes from other garages, as I've learned doing so could save you lots of money in the long run. I've been with the Viaduct Servicentre (Kelburn) for several years. Due to recent events I will be having NOTHING more to do with them. My sister was told her WoF would cost over $1000.00 for them to do. However she ended up taking it elsewhere and got it done for under $200.00. I recently had my car towed there as it broke down unexpectedly (cambelt). I phoned the Viaduct as my car had been there just under a week ago getting brakes fixed ($600.00) Anthony arranged the tow truck, but I feel he should have told me at the time that at the end of the day I would be expected to pay the $70.00 towing fee. If I'd been told that I would have most likely got a courtesy membership tow through the AA (I'm a member). But payment of towage was not discussed at that time. Their quote for fixing the cambelt was over $1000.00. I asked Anthony if the intial towing fee is incorporated in the $1000.00 bill He replied "no". Due to my sisters recent experience I decided to get a quote from another garage to fix the cambelt and that was $400.00. I phoned Anthony and said not to do the work on it, as I would like to get it towed from Viaduct to somewhere else. Then Anthony told me I would have to pay $172.32 - for the initial towing fee and one hours labour. I was a bit taken aback about this, not so much the cost, but mainly coz I'd asked him earlier if the towing fee was included in the $1000.00 and he said no, but now that I'd decided to take my car elsewhere, I was expected to pay it. So I felt I was being lied to & that it WAS actually covered by the initial $1000.00 quote. I talked to Mike over the phone to discuss this, and he was EXTREMELY rude to me and very unprofessional - he was ranting, yelling and talking over me (I couldn't get a word in anyway)- telling me they had done nothing wrong, and threated that my car will be clamped so it can't be towed until the $172.32 is paid in full. Again I was quite taken aback by his manner coz he's the business owner and I couldn't believe that he talks to his customers in this way - obviously doesn't seem to respect or value his customers - shocking!! They hoisted my car up and said they will not let it be towed from their premises until I had paid the hours labour & the initial towing fee - $172.32. I was at work (in the CBD) so offered to pay the bill over the phone by credit card - however, they said I couldn't do that as they don't have that facility set up on their system. So I had no choice but to take the afternoon off work to go up there & pay the bill in person, just so I could get the car towed away from them. I'm REALLY disappinted at their lack of trust in me to pay the $172.32 - all these years I've been with them and I've always paid their bills. However, now I think back I wish I'd got quotes from other garages earlier as now I've gotta wonder if all these years they've actually been ripping me off & overcharging me for jobs & WoFs. Well they will NOT be getting a cent more out of me!! I will most certainly NOT be taking my business, or hard earned cash to them anymore & I wouldn't recommend them to anyone."

    "RIP-OFF CENTRAL. Took my car in for a service and to have the CVs checked, and a CV boot replaced. The car came back with the automatic gearbox overfilled to the point of leaking, the front wheel nuts loose so that the wheels rattled even more than before, and with very noisy steering. Later found out that the power steering belt was loose and hand\'nt been done up properly. Total waste of money - DO NOT USE THEM!!"

    "I have been a customer of the Viaduct for 5 years after they were recomended by the AA
    I have always found them very good Even when I was looking for a new car they checked a couple of cars over for me free of charge !
    When I asked how come Anthony said i was a good customer and would rather tell me if the car was ok before I bought it Rather than afterwards Good honest guys

    "My car over heated outside Viaduct Servicentre one rainy thursday on my way home I found the guys very helpful They took me home
    Rang me and told me how much and deliverd the car back to me the following day

    "NOT RECOMMENDED I been with Viaduct Servicentre (Kelburn) Ltd for many years but over the last 2 years they have failed the WOF on 3 different vehicles which I own, saying repairs would cost me $500, $600 and $400 respectively. On each occasion I have taken the failed vehicle to other garages for alternative opinions and all vehicles passed the WOF first time. One vehicle Viaduct said the shock absorbers needed replacing, the garage that issued my WOF said they were not a problem and then I went to two other independant mechanics who had a look at the shock absorbers and they found them OK. When I told Viaduct that no-one else could find a problem they were very rude and arrogant saying "well thats their opinion". I requested they refund my $55 WOF charge and they refused. These people are creating revenue by ringing up and panicking innocent car owners into believing their car needs repairs. I would not recommend these mechanics and suggest they appear to be adopting a policy of perhaps ripping customers off with fabricated faults."

    "I went for a wof at pitstop Paraparaumu And failed on exaust leaks, got the exaust leaks fixed at Pitstop Wellington (very nice people by the way) and was informed they could not do the recheck at the Wellington branch. So rather than driving back to Paraparaumu I opted to get another wof more localy. The car came back from the $55 Viaduct Service-Centre wof inspection with two pages of absolubte rubish ''wrong'' with the car, When I picked it up they were very rude. I then went for a wof elsewhere and passed straight off no worries! This person is abusing their power. I DO NOT RECOMEND!"
