"I had virtual install a new bathroom. They were very reliable, very helpful and very patient. I would certainly reccommend them to anyone wanting any type of plumbing job big or small. Highly recommend."

"Please do not use this company. My bathroom was started on the 7th Nov 2011, with a 3 week finish date later told I was told 4 weeks. Still waiting for job to be finished. There was no reason why this job could not have been finished in 3 weeks. After the painter had finished there was still 2 full work days. Starting with the plumbing side of things, the taps were put in the wrong way round on the handbasin with the pipe work underneath leaking. The pedistal handbasin was put in with the mirror/ cupboard 3cm out uncentred . When this was fixed they moved the handbasin over, now the pipe work shows up from behind the stand. The handbasin is now also on a lean and not level, 10mm out over 600mm. There was a big hole behind where they put up the heater that could still be seen on one side, this has been fixed, after I complained. The shower is yet to be sealed correctly and I\'m still waiting for the eletriction to reappear, I have no light fittings up. The painter left paint all over my new lino, and prep work was of a very poor standard. I could have done better, in fact when it is finally finished I will be redoing it myself, to my standard. Toilet still needs to be repreped and repainted They would not paint it how I wanted, ie trim around top of panelling should be the same color as panelling. When I saw how they had put in the fan on the outside of the house I cried, ( No one who saw this could beleive it) They have since fixed this but quailty of workman ship very poor, once again I know I could do better ( I\'m a woman) The taps of the toilet system touch the chain and the crome back plate was half painted over, when fixed a chunck of my wall was taken off, found on floor, and tap indented into the wall. The bracket that holds the system pipe to the wall has been put in uneven, this is a $2500 toilet. The workers of this company have no pride whatsoever in their workmanship. The whole expenence has got to the stage where you wounder if someone is playing a sick joke on me. This has cost me my savings, time of work, sleepless nights and every morning the first thing I get to see is my still unfinished bathroom with the workmens rubbish still on the floor. Left last message 19/12/2011 still have not heard back, will be ringing soon. I have photos of every thing stated above and unfortunly more!!!!!!

This was a dream bathroom I have been saving for for 10 years, and its just turned into a expencive nightmare, wish I had seen this site first as I choose them (after getting 3 quotes all about the same), because they could be finished before quests arrived at the end of Nov. Quests came from Christchurch where they also have an outlet.

"I got these cowboys out to do a hot water cylinder change over for me, the price of the cylinder they charged to me was actually more than the full retail price of the cylinder, i understand that Virtual plumbing is actually from Wellington, so are they just here to rip the Christchurch people off in times of hardship."

"We used virtual plumbing to install our domestic sprinkler system. Vince was initially great but unfortunately it did not last. The installation price was blown out, the paperwork was lost for certification and the system creaks and moans due to poor installation I\'m told by the supplier. I\'ve had little or no interest or support from Virtual to put the issues right.

If you have a choice, use someone else."

"Was told about this site recently, and looked on it to specifally see if this company was mentioned on it. Not surprisingly it was.
    Do not use them.
I (unfortunately) used this company to remodel/replumb two bathrooms. What a disaster. I really cannot do justice here to how poorly this job was carried out in all repects.1 They quoted to supply all the fittings at an exhorbetent rate. I went out out bought them myself independently at far cheaper prices. 2 They said the job would be 2 weeks maximum. It actually took 4 1/2 months for the bulk of the work to be complete. And then a further 4 months for it to be totally complete. They accessed parts of the house they should never have been in. They left nails and screws and dirty footprints everywhere through the house. On three different occasions the plumbing sprung leaks overnight due to their poor workmanship and basic attention to detail. One leak resulting in flooding to the downstairs kitchen. There appeared to be no actual plumber at any time rather `jack of all trades` types who did a bit of plumbing, bit of carpentry, bit of this bit of that... all poorly. The invoicing was ridiculously vague. I was told Virtual Plumbing were specialists in project managing these bathroom projects and that all their workmen were employed by the company. This is false. They are subcontractors, and this conveniently gave Virt Plumb excuses and people to blame for the shambles they created.

"We used these people to install a domestic sprinkler system. Six months later, the job is not finished, the system is so badly installed that it can't be certified, and rectification is likely to cost me more than $2,000. Only Vince appears to have actually completed the BRANZ course, but he was nowhere to be seen when the job was being done - he sent in a bunch of cowboys who appeared to have never installed a domestic sprinkler in their lives.
Virtual made significant unauthorised deviations from the plans, installed shut-off valves where they can't be reached, put sprinklers into electrical areas so we'll be electrocuted if the system activates, and the quality of workmanship was just appalling.

And then there's the billing problems. Vince claims on his website that a system can be installed from only $1,000, which is a complete work of fiction. His estimate was more expensive than the industry standard, and to date his invoices are around double his estimate - with the system still incomplete. If we had allowed him to proceed, the system may well have cost $15,000+

These people are complete cowboys, and seem to regard their customers as a blank chequebook. The quality is appalling, the people they put onsite clearly don't have the qualifications to do the work, and the results are sub-standard in every way.

    Avoid like the plague.

"Months of sodding around trying to get these guys to do what I originally wanted has come to nought. I have a field drain which I did not need and my basement still floods which I wanted fixed.
I could have got this fixed if I had paid for the field drain I didn\'t need and then paid some more money for a pump and sump in my basement. Would not recommend these cowboys to anyone, the workmanship itself I must admit was ok but the communication and result was rubbish.
My basement still floods ad not I must now find an alternative that doesn\'t cost too much as most of my money went to the field drain I didn\'t need :-)
