"Having had Michiel in to paint previously it was a no-brainer to email him again this time. It was a relatively small job where my roof had leaked and i had a stained ceiling. He was able to fit me in quickly and worked well (including working around losing power so he couldn't dry the paint to do another layer as quickly as he would have hoped. Ceiling is back to looking normal - great job as always "

"We had Michiel do some work for us 6 years ago and when we recently needed a full interior re-paint we knew we could only trust him to do the job. Especially since we were overseas during the work. He was very prompt with his communication and offered advice on colour selection. He even offered advice on our renos as they went on. His workmanship is top rate and he stuck to the timeline he had planned on from the start. This allowed our renovations to run smootly. Nothing was too much of an ask… for him, he even came back after the job was finished to fix up a mistake made by another tradie. Our neighbour was so impressed with his work she hired him to so some painting in their house. We highly recommend Michiel."

"Michiel had previously painted the interior of our house and did such a great job, we asked him back to paint a large peeling external deck. Michiel went the extra mile to strip the old deck as much as possible (to obtain a good painting surface) and to find the right paint product to use. His work is tidy and professional, he communicates well, and the deck is transformed! We have already asked Michiel if he can help us with further paint work and would recommend him to others. "

"Michiel did our house interior painting. he came to do our quotes first and then did actual painting. he did all the work very professionally and bought the paint so there was no overhead for us. he also accomdated couple of new request on extra cost but that was very helpful.

It was clear we needed a genuine professional to get the work done properly! So we got Michiel involved. "I contracted Michiel from 1Brush to paint the entire inside of my house, including the ceilings. It took about two months in total. Michiel's attention to detail is impressive, and I found on several occasions that he went the extra mile to making sure that the job was done professionally - even painting bits that you wouldn't normally see inside cupboards, removing light fittings, curtain rails, smoke alarms and wall nails to make sure that nothing was missed. His pricing was also competitive,… he always arrived when he said he would, and his banter was good too. Would definitely use Michiel on my next painting job if he's available."

"I chose Michiel to paint several windows and a door in a studio I rent out. Painting was both internal and external. Michiel did a very good job. He liaised with the tenant, kept us informed on progress, and finished the job quickly thanks to a lucky break in the weather. He also suggested I might like to replace some boards rather than do a job that would not last. We did this and he was able to paint without the need for a callback. "Michiel is one of the most honest and trusting person I come across and his workmanship is absolutely amazing.
We had a very tiered looking roof and thought about have a new roof installed, instead we both decided to have it painted as there were nothing structurally wrong with it.
We contacted other painter for a quotes, but after talking with Michiel you could tell he knew what he was talking about and also advised on other options, which worked out really well.
When Michiel started, he… never stopped all day,

On completion of the work, we were both amazed with the finishing, as it looked like a brand new roof.

His workmanship was to perfection and we couldn’t wish for a more friendly person. In our opinion, we would highly recommend him to anyone, as we will certainly employ him again without a doubt (full house next)"

"This is the second time I have contracted Michiel to do painting work for me. Michiel who worked alone painted the entire outside of the house (single level bevel back weatherboard) I manage for my daughter and son-in-law. In addition to the outside it included a small amount of interior. I have found Michiel to be an expert painter (I am particular with quality). Michiel was able to quide me with suitable colours. My tenants found him to be very respectful of their privacy. Anyone out… there looking for a painter are welcome to email me. I am happy to answer their questions."

"Did metal post painting for us and came out great. A big difference with our previous painter who said sand blasting, priming and painting would be enough now that job is rusting after only a few months. Michiel's work was detailed, well explained and carried through like a professional. Hence why we are hiring him again to redo the other side of the house for us.
