100%"I came across Andrej the owner of APM Painting, along with 3 other painting companies from the “No Cowboys” website to quote on painting the exterior of my home.
Andrej arrived on time, was very professional and a genuinely lovely guy to deal with. Andrej offered great advice and cost saving suggestions, plus he provided a very competitive quote.
I have high standards & usually dread organising house maintenance, but working with Andrej made it very easy. Both Andrej & his… co worker Peter were very respectful and take great pride in their work, which showed in the extreme attention to detail. A lot of work was put into the preparation with the entire house being washed, locks, blinds etc removed where applicable, plus drop sheets used to protect the plants, furniture, deck, paths etc. Andrej also organised a builder to repair some window frames and other necessary building defects at a reasonable cost. Test strips of paint were applied to the walls from test pots to ensure I was happy with the chosen end colour.

My custom made panelled back door was desperately in need of repainting. This door is quite tricky to paint, but it now looks absolutely amazing, along with the entire house exterior.
Andrej & Peter started when he said they would, turned up every day until the job was complete, and worked diligently while they were here !
My home was left immaculate & I couldn’t be happier with the fabulous end result. I highly recommend Andrej from APM Painting to anyone looking for a quality paint job.

5%"Would never recommend this guy step foot on your property. Andre came over to repaint my bifold doors. I asked for an Enamel undercoat and topcoat as they were cedar and this was what the joinery company advised to keep my door warrenty, plus Enamel was on there originally. He said 'he'd been painting for 15 years and knows more than anyone else'.
He decided to use water-based enamel paint over the top of enamal anyway (a massive no-no) and sure enough, 3 weeks later they are already… cracking as per photos. I can't understand how it's worse now than it was before he started.

He chipped my doors when sliding them open and made my wife feel very uncomfortable with his aggressive response and denial.
If I could upload my Arlo videos I would. He had a small drop sheet that he walked around all day, he cleaned his roller on the side of my house and splashed watered down excess paint on my other set of french doors, also captured on video. He painted over the glass, the hinges, and left his latex gloves on the deck (Photo) which melted and I can't get it off.
He bought 1 x 2L paint tin and left me half of it. This meant he used 1L of paint to cover 2 x 7m bifold doors (supposed to be) twice - but Arlo confirmed he just did one coat.
The original painter took 4 full days to paint these doors, Andre took 6 hours. Goes to show the lack of care. He wanted the money, did an absolute crap job and moved on. It needs sanding back and repainting again. The new painter even said he has never seen such a bad paint job and questioned he was actually even a painter.Andrej responded:"Unfortunately, you cannot please everyone! And this review shows it. We have completed this job to our high standards just like we always do. This job was passed on us through the joinery company directly and we have followed their recommendations. We have never applied undercoat as this was already completed. Customer and joinery company asked for one layer of top coat only, and we have followed these requests. We have not chipped the doors and this was communicated there and then, rollers were not cleaned at the property, we never do this and we have never used latex gloves. We don't use gloves at all as our hands and tools are always clean. They might belong to someone else, definitely not ours. Maybe the new painter... We did not response to customer message as it was received on the 23rd of December, we were already closed for the year, but rang the customers as soon as we reopened in a new year, however he did not answer. We are time efficient, definitely faster then other painters; European standards; always delivering jobs of high standard and quality as its clearly evident through all of our other reviews. For this customer it clearly wasn't enough and we can only learn from this unfortunate experience. We are glad to hear that the customer found a painter that was able to complete the job to his standards! Best of luck in the future! He arranged the house clean, paint and scaffolding and saved time and effort on my part. Painting was done very quickly and did a few small areas I hadn't considered. We received a prompt reply to our request for a quotation and Andrej came on site and appraised the property. His quotation was accurate and the price very satisfactory. He and his team came and completed the job without any untoward events and were a pleasure to have on site. Their preparation was good and subsequent clean-up the same.

We were impressed with his initial consultation and knowledge of what could/should be undertaken for the condition of our house. His communication was excellent and kept us up to date with timings during the painting period. He was very patient with our endless test pot trials and also gave us some excellent, much needed colour advise.
They were very respectful of our property, cleaning up every day before… leaving.
He was extremely hard working and we are very pleased with the final result. 100%"Best painters in Auckland. Of course I can't say that because I don't know too many other painters but these guys would be hard to beat.
They were easy to have around the house, worked very hard, did very good work, cleaned up afterwards, communicated well, and nothing was too much trouble. If we wanted something a bit different or added on they did it and the few extras we asked for were very reasonably priced.
The quote was the quote and the work was excellent.

APM painting & decorating was established in 2005 as a sole trader by Andrej Martincek.
What we do
Andrej has 15 years of combined experience in painting and maintenance services both in New Zealand and Europe. Andre’s priority is to make sure that every customer is 100% satisfied and his work is always the highest quality. Andre works Auckland wide, but would travel out of Auckland area if required by the customer. Andre offers friendly service and is very flexible around his working hours. He can work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to fit the customer’s time needs.bedroom2
Andre’s focus is on preparation of surfaces before finishing of interior and exterior painting, to ensure proper adhesion of fresh paint and prevention of future peeling, prolonging the life of new paint, guaranteeing 100% satisfaction for every customer. Andre has references available on request so you are more than welcome to check with our previous customers the quality of his work. Safety is ensured and covered by the public liability insurance.
