Car has been in for two services plus a Cambelt change (have to do this for the warranty cover purchased with the car). Have been very happy with the service overall. Will continue to go there."

    "I have been a regular client of AutoClinic for good reason. They have been thorough with all the car servicing I have needed in the past, given me options for the repairs. Great that they have loan vehicles to minimise disruption to your day and great communication. Pricing is reasonable and of good standard market rate, in comparison to others I have used years ago. Premises is tidy and staff are friendly - grab a coffee while waiting in reception and Jeremy (behind the counter) is lovely to deal with."

    "STAY FAR AWAY! my experience was TERRIBLE. Took my bmw in a few months back to auto clinic situated in onehunga as my headlight needed replacing (bare in mind it was a HId headlight) I come in, the guy sighed at me saying it wasn't going to be cheap, which I understood. Quoted me just over 1200 for part and labour and said if I leave my car with him now it will stay cheaper. Fair enough. Left the car and sat in reception (reception girl was lovely).. Then the guy which quoted (small Indian lookinh guy) came back and said the part they got was the wrong one and was going to order another. I said ok so left the cat with them. 2 days after ring up to see how my car is doing. Not done but they have pulled the front of my car off and took the headlight out. Rang 4 days after, for him to say look I can't find the part, so it will be 3000 odd dollars now and it's too dangerous to do yourself. NO CHANCE! so I said up come collect my car for them to then say they are charging 200 for labour (for 10 minutes of them taking my front bumper off which i watched) I said no chance for then the owner/ manager to them call me rude and ungreatful. My other half being soft gave in and agreed to pay 80 dollars for them to also say they are not putting the things back on my car. The car had to be drove home illegally. Later to this my partner got the part offline for cheap and fitted it within 20 minutes. I later spoke to AA Motor advise for them to confirm that what I thought was correct and you shouldn't be charged for not receiving what you haven't asked for. I know I wouldnt in my job! LIARS AND MONEY GRABBERS"

    "Hi This is not the full story, we could not get a secondhand part for this vehicle as it was an import and no one had the correct headlight at the time. I am not sure where you are getting the price of $3000, but you did not want to buy a new headlamp. We actually gave your partner all the part numbers etc to order the part overseas as we informed him it was only available as genuine in NZ at that time., I actually told him of one I found on Ebay UK that seemed to have matching numbers. We charged only for two hours as we pulled out the headlight, bumper and spent hours trying to find this part for you and trying callk you with out answer. The headlight was zenon with a 50000 volt ballast which is why we warned you to be very careful as people have been seriously injured playing around with these as they do not realise that this is not a standard 12volt system. Your partner was totally understanding of the situation but you where being unreasonable through the whole process, we tried to communicate the problems with sourcing parts for import BMWs all the way through the job as they do not use all the same parts as the NZ market cars but you did not want to hear this. We could not put the headlight back on as it was smashed to pieces - the car had been in an accident! I am sorry you where not happy with what happened but we went out of our way to try and help you with this and do not feel that your review is fair at all. "

    "Jeremy really looked after me after my car broke down, he arranged a tow truck to come straight out (arrived as promised in under an hour) and collect my car from Auckland CBD. One new radiator and water pump and I was back on the road- All within the same day, they even delivered the car back to me!

    "Hi Mishra/Adrian thanks for the great service and quick repair, had to place a review here Auckland AutoCinic where great in sorting out my Audi. It had no power, was all jerky and was using heaps of gas.
    They got me in, gave a free courtesy car to use and where on the phone an hour later telling me the two of the coils where shorting out. The good news was this was actually a recall issue for this model of Audi and the job was done free (paid by Audi NZ I think).
    How many workshps would have been honest enough to tell you that! Any how got the car back a day later Washed and Vacuumed and going great!! Cheers guys what more can I say! John

    "Dropped the car off for service and WOF, got a call from them to say WOF failed and they quoted $1200 to fix all issues inc service or $900 if I pay cash only. Quite shocked with what I heard , almost agreed, but good sense prevailed. Went to a reputable MTA assured agency the next day. WOF passed with no issues.
    No thanks Auto clinic. Never again.

    "Hi Renny I can find no trace of you in our system so believe this is a fake review, hen a WOF is done it is a safety inspection on the condition of your vehicle, unfortunately some people do not see it this way. We stand by our WOFs and will not issue dodgy non - compliant WOFs. These are a SAFETY check on your vehicle and we will not compromise quality and safety as this can endanger you and other road users. We also do not drop the price for cash.! Regards Jeremy"

    "Well, i was very much disappointed the way my car was handled. My AUDI A4 had problem of misfiring. I don\'t want to write down the whole story. But few highlights.
    1. Service provided by them was not value for money. I found the price of the spare parts on the higher side. e.g. Spark plugs they claimed for $200 for V6 engine. I bought the best genuine platinum one for $100.
    2. Mechanics did not seem to be well versed with their jobs. I won\'t name anyone as it should be a team effort to bring smile on customer’s face. But atleast for me they failed to do so. The first mechanic blamed the spark plugs and once they were changed, problem persisted and then mechanic was clueless. To me it clearly looks action taken after an incomplete diagnosis of the problem. 3. The second specialist who is Audi trained made me aware of how Ignition coil, ECU works. He almost convinced me that either ECU or the ignition coil is faulty which would cost me another $500 and &2000 respectively. He also advised that he will do a full diagnose again and will be an additional cost of $350 ($200 after discount). 4. After getting this advice from Auto clinic’s specialist (so called), I was terrified and very much disappointed (with my car). Thankfully, my friend insisted me to go to another AUDI trained mechanic for a different opinion. And to my wonder, my car was fixed!. Other mechanic fixed my car in half an hour which Auto clinic mechanic were not even able to diagnose for 3-4 days. 5.They were not prompt on the promised delivery date and then I had to call them to check if they really working on my car or not. I will of course not consider going to them again for my car though. I wish Good luck to them and their customers.

    "I had a super bad experience in this Autoclinic. They said they will deliver my car on Monday afternoon, but instead they used my car for their own private matter and returned Tuesday morning in my place. They were trying to fool me telling me that Janice Budal called me to return my car, but she just had 1 and 2 seconds history of outgoing call for me when she showed her iphone to me. That\'s not even trying. Actually, she returned my car in the morning without giving me any call. After that, I had my car checked just to confirm if theyreally fix it. I was so disappointed that they didn\'t complete the job that was already been prepaid. I paid to repair my Vitz front wheel bearing and the CV boot and I found out that they haven\'t done anything on the CV boot. So, I don\'t recommend this Autoclinic.Business is business. They have no right to use my car for their own private matter and at the end of the day I still need my car to be fixed again. :(("

We offered to deliver your Toyota back and continue the journey in our loan car which you had. (Jasmine kindly was going to drop it as she was going past your work at 5:15pm). We could not reach you on the number you gave us, so she had to continue on to her meeting, and by the time you contacted us unfortunately she had already entered the meeting and turned her phone off. Jasmine swapped cars back at your home the next morning at 6:30am. I do apologize that things didnt go to plan, but in life not everything does. I thought you were happy that everything had been sorted, but clearly you are not so I will make contact again and see what can be done. Kind Regards, Dave"

    "As I\'m not a regular customer to Auto clinic I was stoked that they could fit me in for a last minute warrant of fitness - at the student price $25 it was not only a bargain but I was really happy with how fast the warrant took to get, was all completed in my lunch break. Not only was I certified with a warrant, the guys fixed me up with a sweet window screen car package and cleaned my car for me. Went above and beyond the level of expectation! Also staff were all friendly. Will definitely be using Autoclinic again this month for my next warrant."

    "Apologies in advance for the long essay...

    After posting a job and receiving an offer to repair my car, a Toyota Cavalier which had stopped working recently and reading the good reviews on Auckland Auto Clinic on this site, I decided to take it to them.

    After I had the car towed in, the initial diagnosis I was given was that it was potentially something to do with the spark plugs, totally different from the actual issue which was something to do with the fuel system. However, the car magically fixed itself after the first day at the workshop, and they spent a week attempting to get the car to fault again. At the end of the week it seemed still okay, so I was given the option of either taking it home as is, replacing the fuel relay, or the fuel pump - I went with the relay option. They were nice enough to provide me with what they termed \"SmartCover\", which is the equivalent of a subsidised tow back to their workshop in case the fuel relay replacement wasn\'t going to fix the problem. I paid my invoice, and went on my way. (Interestingly, I was randomly charged me with a towing fee even though had the organised for the car towed to their premises via the AA myself. While they did credit my account after I notified them of the error, this isn\'t the sort of thing you expect to happen from any professional mechanic.) Couple of days later, the car faulted in the exact same way again, so I had it towed back to them to get the fuel pump replaced. As last time the car was there it took a week before I got it back, I asked for a rental vehicle which they said they would be able to provide - however, they made the assumption that I could drive a manual car, which I can\'t, so I ended up with the only automatic they had on them at the time; an old dilapidated van which looked almost like it had been stolen, with no diesel in the tank and no rear view mirror. I did eventually get this swapped out with a normal automatic car when one was available, but again vehicles in such a bad state of disrepair shouldn\'t be offered as loan vehicles to customers. So far, I\'ve only had calls from the workshop on a sporadic basis - I was told that the car would be ready around Tuesday, but I haven\'t had any calls from them this week. The price estimate for the fuel pump went from $2000 (for new genuine part) to $300 (second hand) to $1000 (aftermarket)... and mechanic on phone did not seem to understand that I didn\'t have a thousand dollars lying around and that I\'d need a few days to transfer some savings... So now it\'s two weeks and an estimated $1500 later - overall, I\'m highly disappointed. I know fault diagnosis is hard with cars, but Auckland Auto Clinic have done little to improve the situation or my faith in them as a mechanic. Pros: nice of them to provide free tow back to workshop as safety, there was one mechanic there (whose i dont remember) who explained the issues in a professional manner when i took the car back for the first time Cons: sporadic communication, bad rental vehicle, does not seem as good value as it should be, randomly charged for towing for the first time I don\'t think I\'ll be coming back with my car or anybody\'s car in the future. :("

    "What do you feel like on the evening after your car has just been broken into...Sent an email to Auckland Auto Clinic, got a reply soon after and had the car repaired next morning. Quote lower than insurance expected tells me it\'s a really fair price. I do remember few months ago they were rated as one of the best and cheapest in Sunday Herald. Excellent communication, they sorted insurance,parts, work done in a timely manner.

    "Told me my car is going to be fixed in an hour. It took 4! After 3.5h girl at reception asked me if i would like to take a loan car. Really useful offer after 3.5 wasted hours!"

    "After grilling the team, I learned that you were offered a loan vehicle right at the start. we mistakenly advised that the job is a 1 hour turnaround, subject to parts arriving. parts can be a nightmare as you can order something and have it arrive on time to find its incorrect and difficult to source while the customer waits. We should have reminded you about the loan car availability again at the 1 hour mark, however our receptionist (new) felt you already knew this was available from the start. The pricing was far better than you would get at most places, as the job was a loss for us, we discounted the labour down as this was an older vehicle. we had a mechanic off the tools for 1 hour searching wreckers for the second hand part as you wanted second hand instead of new. all this was uncharged. We have changed our policy to avoid second hand parts wherever possible now, and to inform customers of possible delays with part sourcing on older cars at the beginning of the job. We did our very best, given the task at hand, and many other workshops would wash their hands of this type of work. I hope after I visited you to explain the situation, that you can understand you were looked after very well, except for us not reminding you sooner than the 3 hour point, about the loan car we offered you when we started the job."

    "I apologise, I will be speaking to the mechanic diagnosing & repairing, the service manager who discussed with you options / timing, and also our office lady about a) why the time taken was wrongly estimated & b) why you were not offered a loan car as soon as the mechanic realised it was going to take longer to repair. I will talk it over with you prior to consulting staff. Thanks for advising me of this issue. "

    "Have been going to Auto Clinic for over 3 years now. These BMW certainly does need a bit more attention around a certainly age or mileage, unfortunately have been a regular with two of these cars.

    Both Dave & Anton have always done a great job and takes time out to explain the problem and answer my endless question no matter how busy they are (not because I don't trust them but I'm taking a free lesson on how car works).

    These days the workshop is very efficient and a parking is always available, and I've seen other changes too. It just goes to show that they are always looking at improving themselves. It's the knowledge they have and the feedback I get when picking up the car that makes me go back."

    "These guys rescued me after I spun out in my ute, bending a few things and creating a bit of carnage. I thought the car was a write off, but the guys at Autoclinic managed to source second hand parts (diff etc) and keep the bill under 2k- and I was able to have my ute back on the road within a few days. I even had a loan car to use in the meanwhile. I priced up the parts myself and Autoclinic got me a better deal within 10 minutes, and just totally looked after me. Highly recommended to all. "

    "Had my car booked in for 9am to get a part replaced, Was then told to come back after 10 after wasting the morning getting there, only to wait til 1.30 pm for the part to FINALLY be replaced so i could go home! Very dissapointing service. Will not be going back in the future."

    "Hi there, I am sorry about the mixup as the parts which should have arrived that morning had not. I was away for the morning expecting everything to have worked like clockwork. It is my own personal fault and not the companies that your part was not there as expected. When you arrived we took the sample off & sent our parts courier out to pick it up urgently.     "AMAZING! This is how every business should be run, I was blown away. I had a whole in my oil sump and my car had to be towed from my house. They came over within an hour of my phone call and towed my car WHILE dropping off the courtesy car. Within two days my car is ready and they even delivered it back to me. All this at an extremely fair price (where most others I know would have gone for the expensive repair option). I cannot recommend them highly enough and will be using them from now on. "

Our European service manager Adrian is a highly qualified mechanic with over 20 years experience in repairing and servicing European vehicle brands such as Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagon and Volvo, having worked at prestigious dealerships Continental Cars and Archibald and Shorters.
