"l engaged Blair very recently to repair a boundary retaining wall that had been damaged by some anonymous motor vehicle skidding off the road. I had no hesitation contacting Blair again as he had previously constructed a boundary fence for me which was of a very high standard.
His execution of this current job was also excellent !! Blair and his assistant worked quickly and efficiently to replace and secure the broken posts, and left a very tidy construction site behind. I find Blair pleasant… and helpful to communicate with, keeping me informed as to the nature and time frame of the repair, and his two quotes to me have been agreeably competitive. l am very happy to recommend him to future customers."

"I knew exactly who to go to when I needed 3 new fences incluidng retaining walls. Blair has previously done fencing for me. The fence quality was again excellent as were the retaining walls, one of which involved quite a bit of earth works.
I had another project in the pipeline ( a pool installation) and the landscaper had let me down, so Blair said he would also do this for me. This involved excavation and reinforecements, reinforcing a current retaining wall (a much better idea than the… landscaper had too), a concrete pad which turned out to be absolutely perfectly level, putting in pool surrounds including decking, coping, cladding and a pool fence.

Blairs ability to solve problems and attention to detail are outstanding.

He is very reliable and never let me down despite the tricky project."

"Blair completed a reasonably big fencing project for us as well as removing some old concrete retaining which was falling apart and replacing it with new timber retaining. He and Steve produced excellent work, everything was done as they said it would be, and Blair was also very understanding and flexible when our ideas and plans and for the project changed. Blair gave us lots of advice in the early stages of the project and we benefitted from his experience and expertise. The battened front… fence not only looks great but also helps reduce road noise. "In November 2022 Blair and his team built a fence across the front of my property and down my steep drive. A strong base had to be built to cope with the neighbours' driveway above before the fence could be erected. This gave a solid platform for the fence to be erected and I was delighted with the finished product. Blair did an excellent job and I would highly recommend his work. "Blair Hodder - The Auckland Fence Company did a solid rebuild job on a 5m length retaining wall with new wooden paling fence on top as well as replace our old 10m wooden paling fence. After some bad weather delays, Blair and his team began work knocking our job off in 2 1/2 days. He had all the machinery equipment and manpower to complete our job and at the quoted price. Removed all the old fence debris as included in quote. They very respectful to all 3 neighbours and their properties… during work.

Would highly recommend Blair and team for any fence work you need done.

"We've recently used 'The Auckland Fence Company' to build a 1.8m high, 24m long, capped fence at our residential property in Auckland. Blair came out and saw me (in the pouring rain), he listened to what I was wanting and offered really helpful advice and options. He emailed us a quote, and once we had accepted the quote we had to wait several weeks due to bad weather for the job to be started. Once the weather improved , Blair rang me to make arrangements to come the next day. On the day, he… was running a bit late, but he text me to say he would be to me in 15 mins, which he was. Two of Blair's staff arrived and Blair stayed to get the setup done, then left for another job. The staff were friendly and did a really good job - cleaning up at the end of both days that they were there. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to build a fence, they are professional, reliable and most importantly do a really good job. We will definitely be using them again in the near future!"

"We reached out to a few different companies regarding a large boundary fence for my property. Auckland Fence Company was not only the most reasonably priced, but also clear communicators and professional in the quoting stages.
The finished product was completed in only a few days even with bad weather and everyone on site was respectful, and tidy.
Both myself and my neighbour are impressed with the quality of the final build, with no corners cut on materials and process. Blair accommodated… some last minute changes to the length and the final invoice was as expected.

"Couldn't really ask for better really on every level. Having many contractors on our properties in the past... these guys have to be one of the best... hardly knew they were here - they just got the job done... and cleaned it up to perfection, even hosed it down at the end... very respectful.
Of several quotes, they were very reasonable and did a fabulous job in the the time set... even with weather restrictions. We had a fence and 2 retaining walls completed and I will not be looking… further if any of this work is required in the future. 100%. Very happy customer. Strongly recommend."

"I got in touch with Blair after reading many positive reviews and I’m happy to add another one. Having never had a new fence built and not having anyone who could recommend a company I was a bit nervous but Blair was quick to reply to my quote request and in the area so popped by shortly after. After reviewing the site Blair discussed how we’d like the fence finished as well as any possible issues. Soon after we had a comprehensive quote to remove the existing fence and rebuild at a very… reasonable price.

There was a fairly long lead time in between accepting the quote and the start of the job but that’s not unusual, especially in the run up to end of year. The fence was completed quickly once the work had started and the team were all friendly and polite. The new fence was completed just before Christmas and looks great."

"We got our back fence replaced with a simple paling fence. Access was a bit challenging with multiple sets of stairs and a narrow gate but the guys did a great job removing the old fence and constructing a new one. Very prompt, did a good job and cleaned up impeccably. Blair also did some remedial work on our side gate which had warped, so now it opens and closes easily. I would definitely recommend this company."

Once we had it booked in a couple of weeks in advance, the communication and timing was very organised and they arrived on the day as expected. "We had an old wooden gate that was falling to pieces and not worth repairing. The standard gates at Bunnings etc. did not suit. "A competitive quote and they knew several options to reduce cost and disruption. To do the best possible job the team went beyond expectations, like doing an additional fence section at no charge. The job was a week late starting because of summer holidays, but they were an efficient team. Blair was honest to deal with and I would recommend him and the team for fence and retaining wall work."

"Amazing! Blair was great to deal with and he really got what I was after, actually I think he understood what I wanted better than I did as the end result was better than I had imagined. A 50m fence obviously built by skilled carpenters, solid and really great looking with thoughtful details. Difficult greenery on fence line worked around without issue and a very tidy site during work and post completion. I highly recommend Blair and his team."

"Blair has done 4 separate jobs for me now so obviously I am very happy with his work. He has done 3 decks for me and about 70sqm of fencing. I have found his communication and timeliness good and the quality work is also great. They quote the job, you organise a time and weather permitting they get the job done. You can tell that he has been building decks and fences for years. "

"Blair and his team have just built a 50 metre fence for us in Orewa. They did an absolutely great job, the fence looks excellent - we've had lots of positive comments from the neighbours and Blair was a pleasure to work with - giving us lots of help and ideas to us as first time property owners. Blair is a very honest and down to earth guy who takes his job seriously and pays very close attention to detail. His quotes were competitive; his advice was sound and freeely-given; quality of the work was excellent; and he was reliable - turning up when he said and getting the job done on time etc. And on one job, we needed to do some additional work, which he discussed on the spot and did it - with vey reasonable additional costs.
