""Absolutely terrible service . I experienced overheating issues on my car. Have been told a water pump must be replaced. They replaced the water pump and few month later I found they didn't used proper coolant for the engine. They poured back normal water (the water which has been drained originally from system and it was 85% tap water as original coolant leaked out and been temporary replaced with tap water at the petrol station). They responded to me that they do that normally. After 4 month from that moment the engine overheated again middle of North Island, place of nobody. Today My Upper Hutt mechanic found after time consuming and costly investigation and work that the water pump which suppose to be replace it rusty & totally disintegrated. Inside cooling system was so much dirt which indicates they didn't flush the system once they have been installing new water pump ( mechanic is thinking that the pump is around 10 years old - and my car is 9 year's old ) It looks 100% they didn't change the part and charge me for new one and ruined the engine. Till today I spent at least $ 3000 to sort the car. Today when I came to them they told me - part is out of warranty and they offered me a new water pump free of charge ($350) as their good will. If you want to start spending big money and you want your car get broken give it to them.""

"Took my car in for a warrant of fitness. City Nissen took two days to get around to doing it. The service manager and the general manager had couldn't care less attitude. I would not recommend city Nissan to anyone. For a small thing like a warrant of fitness to be handled in such a poor way is totally unacceptable in my opinion."

"I have had my Jeep service st City Nissan for over 6 years now, and in this time have spent a considerable amount on maintenance based on advice given by City Nissan.
I put the vehicle in for a WOF inspection, and as this was a second vehicle it had hardly been on the road since the last WOF.
Blaine at City Nissan called to say the inspection had failed on 2 items so I went in to discuss these, Blaine explained that there was "play" in the left front lower ball joint and the right front head lamp pattern was incorrect, Blaine also confirmed that the replacement parts could only come ex USA at a cost of $ 881 and $ 652 with a 6 week wait period, plus he confirmed that a full service had been carried out on the vehicle at a cost of $ 585.53.

I told Blaine that I was suspicious regarding the fail items as the vehicle had been off the road, I also asked him if he was sure that the parts could not be sourced in NZ ,and that I did not give permission for a full service to be carried out, he replied that I had no choice in regards to the parts and that I had 29 days to comply as the failed WOF inspection had been registered with the land transport, and that I could not take the vehicle away without paying for the service and WOF inspection.

I paid the bill and took the vehicle to another certified vehicle inspection station and the vehicle passed, the inspector confirm no "play"what so ever in the ball joint, on top of that it was confirm that the parts could have easily been sourced in NZ at a third of the cost.

Pretty disappointed and I feel that City Nissan failed items on the WOF just to generate more business,I have requested full reimbursement for the service cost.

"This job is unfinished at the moment awaiting spare parts ex Auckland. Absolutely horrified at the quoted price NZ$726 for a simple drivers door window mechanism. However this was mitigated by the concern of the staff and their desire to seek a reduction of this cost through Warranty. It does, however, make me rethink the wisdom of buying Nissan if simple parts are so expensive!"

"There were a few issues with our recent vehicles we received through City Nissan however this was due to outside companies included in the process. Even though this was not due to City Nissan, Mark Densem kept Capacity aware of each step throughout the process which was appreciated."
