"Responded quickly to my email. Made a time to call (same day) and arrived on time.
I thought I was going to have to buy a new set of tapware but he fixed it without the additional expense.

Also fixed another issue and left me a spare part for future use.
Clear communication, very pleasant to deal with, tidy, very reasonable rates - even for a Saturday call out!

Fabulous all round service, highly recommended."

"Ive had Dave do work my my place a few times now and I find him and his son Alex to be very professional. They come over in a timely fasion and did a great job. The bonus was they didnt charge a arm and a leg. There price was cheeper than what we had already talked about. I would highly recommend them to anyone who are looking for a gasfitter/plumber."

"My husband called Dave Tully and informed him that our instant hot water system need installing. He sent his son to have a look and then came around and quoted. The quote came back for $2600 and I said to my husband not to go ahead until we had more quotes. Dave then asked then we pay $100 for the work he had done. I got home and he had done nothing. When we got other quotes in they were all between $1000 and $1200. Basically he decided that he would charge more than double due to the fact it mean we were without hotwater for some time. I am writing in reply to the last comments made by Dave. We have full gas certification from reputable company, with over 20 years in business and which has loads and loads of good feedback. This was done for $1200 rather than the $2600 you quoted. You were asked to quote not to do the job (until as you said, my husband said to start the job). I found your quote completely unreasonable and did ask my husband to ensure that you had not started work- there was a 20 minute turnaround between the time you were given the go ahead and the time you were asked not to proceed. If you were not over quoting then I suggest that you look at repricing your jobs as three quotes came back with similar figures. All less than half of yours. When we talked to them we added in extra work too so infact they were quoting for more work than you. Every other person I have spoken to regarding installation of an LPG caliphont has stated that they paid between $1000-$1500 for install. I am not name calling, telling lies or anything else. I will let the facts speak for themselves. Very unhappy and recommend that people get other quotes before dealing with these guys"

"I was asked to urgentlyconnect a hot water system which the owner had installed after removing his hot water cylinder by Marty. It would be nice if the true facts were presented. I was not asked for a price but to come and do the job. In view of there predicament we agreed to fit them in. My son went to check on the job the next morning as arranged so that we would know what to take when we returned to do the job in the afternoon. The unit was set up completely incorrectly and he suggested I take a look before starting. We finished the job we were doing and then called at the property. The instantaneous gas unit had been mounted in a back porch. We then set about to work out where the best place was to legally install the unit. Once we had worked out the logistics I then went home to work out a price as I did not feel comfortable proceeding without advising the owner of the cost the comment was that that was the budget for the whole kitchen. When I advised the owner of the cost $2023.00 not $2600.00 he was quite astounded. I explained the situation to him and went through it step by step also outlining other issues with regard to his gas bottles. I then advised him to go and have a think about it as I did not want to put him under any pressure. He said to me my wife is going to kill me but you better get it done. I again advised him that I was not pressuring him but he said no go ahead. I then advised him that if we could do it any cheaper we would. My son then drove back to the job to begin the prep work while I went to the merchants to get the necessary gear. Just as I was leaving the merchants I recieved a call to ask us not to proceed . I was told that the wife had gone ballistic and wanted other quotes. I was then told that I would be squared up for the time we had wasted-- hence the payment. By this time we had spent about three hours and made three trips. I also at the time provided an itemised breakdown of the costs involved .So that it was clear how the costs had been arrived at. I have been in business for over 35 years and realise that you can not satisfy everyone. However at no stage have I ever tried to take advantage of any one and tried to pad an account or loaded up a quote because I thought I had a job. I price every job as I see it and take pride in providing a service and being honest with people. I make no apology for the price I gave these people and really can,t see how this job could have been done properly for the costs stated. "
