"I wanted to share my experience.I had at this automotive and make sure none of you ever use them. I rang up last thursday 3rd june a week ago first thing in the morning and asked for a possible short notice oil change because i was travelling at distance and it was required by my warranty. Reply no problem il do it for you this morning. At 10am I went for my morning walk and saw my van drive past me. I thought it was odd then thought maybe theyre heating up the oil for the oil change. During… the morning i organised to finish at 1230 so i could beat the traffic going north. Thats when i got to Gribbens Automotive. This clown then tells me Ive arrived to early and starts giving me **** about communication how busy he is etc the vans not finished and hes waiting for the air filter and flashes the air filter at me. I said to him then i only asked for an oil change but it looked dirty so i said cool can i pick it up next week when i come back he said no i also havent done your invoice come back at 2pm and it will be all done. So i replied if its ok il wait ive finished for the day and i want to beat the ak traffic. Then he got ****ty walked in his work shop started kicking things around came back and told me the air filter was in my van he hadnt done my invoicing then threw the wrong key down in front of me and said the airfilter is installed to leave and come back tuesday after queens bday. I wanted to pay him then but he wouldnt let me. I left there stressed out because he was such an **** to me. I went back at lunch time Tuesday after queens birthday weekend and was charged for A fuel filter. Window washer fluid a park light bulb and air filter. They basically didnt do what i asked for. $422.40 Now I wouldnt have complained if I was treated like a customer they guy sent his wife out when i arrived to pay the bill probably embarrased for lying and carring on to his customer rude pathetic behaviour. Anyway after his so called thorogh service a week later my near new engine is being replaced by Toyota Yeah so dont go to this knob.ripped off."

"Iv been coming here for the last few years being I work just across the road they have always looked after me, friendly service always kept well informed to wat was going on and if it needed more work then I thought they would always ask if I wanted it done or not. But most of all its always done wen they say it would be done. Comes highly recommended in my eyes"

"I am so upset and angry with my experience. My partner and I were quoted a price of 2,500-3,000 from the start. We have not been updated of new repairs and costs along the way. The company has replaced and repaired things that were never broken. And suddenly after all the work had been completed, i get a call saying that its 5,000$ instead. I now need to take out a new loan. I am not allowed my vehicle back until the money has been paid in full. The receptionist was rude and not understanding… at all. This has completely ruined my year, I will NEVER ever recommend this business to ANYONE."

"Excellent service, did my vehicle, priced up costs and did the job. I had quite a lot of work on my vehicle, so I was very grateful for them getting on with it. I would highly recommend these guys."

"I have been coming to Chris since he started the business about 5 years ago but I recently tried the mechanic down the road which is closer to where we live BUT was given the run around big time. Long story cut short my wife found herself stuck on the side of the road and in a panic I phoned Gribben Automotive who came to our rescue, Chris was able to sort out the other guys mess and had her back on the road in no time. Thank-you Chris for your prompt and friendly service. "

"Mechanic was given a list of repairs and asked to keep me updated with what the cost would be, I called twice over 2 weeks and none of the work had been done and no estimate was given, finally a week later I was told my car was ready and the bill was $420 odd.
Almost none of the requested repairs had been done, and my car was returned with hoses hanging out of the heating system where someone had tried to get to the wiper motor I had asked to be repaired, I was told instead of repairing the… wiper motor they had just replaced the blades and put fluid in the window jet instead.I was also told my engine had been tuned to make it run better, but it has been so much worse since than it ever was before taking it there. There were several things broken, and other examples of plain out shoddy workmanship I now have no option but to take my car to a real mechanic and have all these problems fixed as it will not be able to pass a warrant in it's current state."
