"So impressed with Kevin and his team. We hadn't planned the removal of our woodburner very well - we needed the flue removed on short notice and hadn't realised people would be so booked up. Kevin re-jigged another job so that his guys could get to us fast before the rain set in. They arrived on time, were super-friendly and efficient, and left everything very tidy. "A very tidy and professional job well done. We had an old wood burner we wanted removed, with a flue that went through some long-run roofing. Though the flashing required to properly patch such a roof was not small, it was installed in a way that it wasn’t anywhere near as noticeable as I had thought. Getting an almost perfect match on the colour of our slightly faded roof was a nice touch too. It’s the little things that matter! "Kevin's team removed 2 chimneys from my home in Mt Victoria. This involved coordinating a team to erect scaffolding; remove all the chimney bricks and material offsite and install a new flue.
The coordination was brilliant - everything was achieved as promised within a short time-frame; the job done to perfection and the clean-up was impeccable.
Communication from Kevin and his team was superb throughout.
This was a major project for me and was seamless - I could not fault one aspect of the… work undertaken. 10/10! Amazing! Thank you Kevin and the team.

"We contacted Kev for a removal of a concrete block chimney. He provided a quote to remove the chimney and another including the below floor stump.
He communicated well with lockdown drama and worked to get us done without major delays.
Rob and the team were thorough, protected all our wooden floors and put up excellent dust protection.
They were polite and so fast! Left barely a sign of the mess the work makes.

"Kevin's team removed 2 exterior chimneys and a large internal fireplace for us. The chimneys were removed within 2 days and all the concrete rubble removed and the site left tidy. The interior fireplace was removed and the interior wall rebuilt, and insulated at our request, relined and gibstopped ready for the painter.
Kevin had to source replacement concrete tiles for the roof as well.
The whole job was completed to a high standard and we're pleased with the job.
Rob and Mike were great… to deal with and Kevin kept us informed about the start date and when the team would be on site.

Highly recommend."

The Chimney was brought down quickly and the remains removed from Site. Since I said I would do the patching of the hole in the wall where the Chimney was, they also gave some good advise on doing the job correctly. "Kevin and his team did a great job. I only needed my chimney removed to the roofline - the chimney breast is on the outside of the house and there weren't any benefits to removing it completely.
I have a 60's weatherboard house and it took some time to find the replacement roof tiles because they're no longer manufactured. Kevin did the work to find the roof tiles that were closest to my own, and provided regular status updates. Once the tiles were ready, it only took a day to remove the… chimney and repair the roof.

I'm having my entire roof painted so it doesn't matter if the tiles aren't exactly colour matched but it's close enough that they don't stand out unless you're looking for them!

They kept the job site tidy and took away all the rubbish at the end of the day. I have recommended them to my friends."

"Kevin inspected the proposed job of removal of a brick chimney shared by two units which was a potential earthquake hazard. He suggested taking it down to just above roof level and capping it. The result is a neat finish, much improved safety with a big saving in cost compared with complete removal to roof level requiring additional tiles to match. "Following the Kaikoura earthquake we were keen to have our two chimneys removed down below the roofline. Kevin was quick to respond to my email and came around to quote for the work.
When the work was undertaken the scaffolding was assembled on a Thursday but a rain deluge meant the chimneys couldn't be removed that day. The following day Kevin and his team returned and completed the work and arranged for the skip bin to be removed the following day. We were amazed at how quickly the work was… undertaken and that all the rubbish was removed from the house - there was no sign that they had been there.

We were very impressed with the quality of the work and the manner in which the crew conducted themselves."

"A very professional job, demolishing two chimney stacks down to the roofline. Despite an awkward access - Kev's team sorted it out within a day and moved 3 tonnes of rubble to the tip.

"Kev is straightforward, honest and finishes work to a high standard, following through on any of the inevitable extra work you find when dealing with a 100 year old house ( in a professional rather than pushy way).
Recently he removed three chimneys at our house and highlighted to us that our roof may be an earthquake risk and one of our chimneys was a fire risk. These are good things to know! As a result of this we used an engineer to provide us with a solution, which Kevin then built for… us.

The quality of his work was great, everything was cleaned up well and his team were a lovely group of guys who I didn't mind our kids being around. At all times, our property and the people who live in it were treated respectfully.

In addition to the scope of his work he also told us that there were old asbestos pipes in our roof. We were very grateful for this as we were about to have a roof ventilation system installed by another provider and they had no intention of removing them until I asked them to.

In short Kev is reliable, trustworthy and honest. He doesn't look to cut corners and is really experienced at dealing with old houses and their unique challenges. He has a great team of people around him who he treats well, and this flows on into your job being done both efficiently and properly. Highly recommended."

"Kevin's quote for the removal of our chimney above roof level was half the amount of the second quote.
He kept us well informed about when the work would be done and it was done quickly and well. What impressed me most was that the rubble had to be taken out through the house and up steps to the car port yet the team left no mess what-so-ever. "I contacted Kev over the xmas holidays for an urgent door install (my doors arrived late so I lost my builder).
He was able to get Mike to me within 48 hours even though it was the holiday period. The doors were installed well, and he was happy for us to stay at the house while he worked. Very trustworthy, lovely chap. Highly recommend.

"Quick quote, great communication, flexible approach and a pragmatic handling of variations. Kevs team took down my chimney in an awkward location at the side of my house on a sloping section, replaced rotten piles and weatherboards, arranged for the replacement of an aging sewer line and built a small retaining wall for me. Due to the age of my property there were a fair few discoveries and problems to tackle along the way. These were well dealt with as the issues arose and they were also very… accommodating in leaving up scaffolding to allow me to paint the new panels and boards. Site was left nice and clean on completion. I'd definitely recommend them and use them again."
