Also assessed the whole area, and said only 3/4 needed replacing, the other area which was an add on by previous owners had at least 15 yrs life left, just painted that area. 63%"Avoid this roofing company at all costs. Multiple issues with workmanship. Despite quoting for a total re-roof:
-left the old building paper in situ as 'too hard' to remove themselves. I ended up having to remove it from inside the attic myself.
-left large scratches on coloursteel roofing and when asked to replace, moved the order of the roofing sheets around instead.
-Overspray from painting flashings went over surrounding coloursteel roofing
- Took a number of shortcuts and didn't… replace parts of the original roofing
In short, this company took the 'easy route'
From speaking with other roofing contractors unfortunately these are not isolated .

Working in the commercial construction industry I deal with a lot of trades on a regular basis and can say without a doubt Chris and the team are outstanding. Communication was regular and seamless from the time of initial quote to completing the work for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they did extras for us that they didn't charge for. 100% reliable which is not easy when trying to re-roof… over winter, but they kept us fully up to date on progress and their plan. The work was completed to a very high standard and I am very pleased with attention to detail and care taken. And their price was very competitive ! 98%"So pleased with Pro Roofing. We had a leak and I called so many places and in the end only two actually kept their promise and gave us a quote, Chris at Pro Roofing being one of them. The first place told me they were surprised that I only had one leak and that I needed a new roof. Did nothing about the leak and it continued. He provided an approximate start date, confirmed the date about 4 weeks ahead of time and turned up on that date to start work. Standard of work excellent and willingly fixed a couple of minor issues quickly and with no additional cost. All in all a professional, high quality job, on time and to budget. 100%"Chris and his team did a fantastic job of reroofing our home. The quote was very competitive. The day they said they would start is the day the roofing iron showed up. Within 30 minute half the roof was off.
Pro Roofing had also quoted to insulate the entire roof but it was found that some was already insulated so the amount was adjusted to reflect this. His team know what they are doing are polite and friendly.
I would recommend using them to anyone else looking to reroof or… instaling a new roof.

100%"Having decided that my roof wasn't going to last another winter and indeed thinking myself lucky that I had managed to make it through the previous winter with only one leak, I felt it was time to look for a roofing company to take on the work. This proved to be a trickier proposition then I had anticipated, I contacted 7 Auckland based companies and am still waiting to hear back from 3 of them, two months later. Of the 4 that did come to inspect, I got quotes from 3. Thankfully Pro Roofing was… one of my final 3 and even though they weren't my cheapest quote, I am delighted that I went with them. I had been very encouraged by their feedback here on No Cowboys and I had recommendation from someone in the trade as well.
Chris is a total professional and kept me informed of all that was happening at every step in the process, I got him to do a complete roof replacement and install insulation at the same time and I'm really impressed by the work done, the finish especially is fantastic and the attention to detail is what elevates these guys over the rest in my opinion.
Chris's crew, "The Boys from Brazil" were simply brilliant, keeping me informed as they discovered problems, like a rotten section of roof timber, that was replaced as part of the quote, no extra cost, not something that any of the other vendors offered. They were polite, professional and punctual. And they worked their butts off all day, on some of the hottest days of the year with only the odd grumble! They were good humoured and respectful of the property environment, leaving the place as clean and tidy as I could have expected as getting a roof put on is a messy business, these guys really did a great job at cleaning up after themselves.
The scaffolding was taken down promptly after the job was complete and Chris did a final inspection of the work whilst also taking away any waste created by the installation. Overall the guys kept the disturbance to the absolute minimum and the impact on our lives was negligible.
To anyone considering getting a new roof or getting a roof repair or anything to do with roofing, insulation or guttering and spouting, give Chris a call, I'd happily recommend Pro Roofing to anyone that asks without any hesitation, we have an awesome looking roof and our house feels ten times cooler in the summer then before, looking forward to it being much cosier next winter too, this has been a big expense, but it makes the house look a million bucks and has done wonders to our resale price I expect. 98%"We've known of Chris' work for years but when it came time to re-roof and gutter our villa we asked around for recommendations from builders and friends. Pro Roofing kept being recommended. We did get a few quotes and Chris' quote was competitive and included any timber frame work that needed replacing - and there was quite a bit. The quote was solid, the team were very professional, the work was started on the date booked in, and was completed within the stated timeframe, and they cleaned up… after wards. If only every trade behaved in the same way. Now we have a solid roof that will last for decades and the house looks great.
