"Ever since first contact with Gary his comms have been good. Once he got to our job things proceeded very quickly. He even came and picked up and returned the chairs (x8) to save me multiple trips in the car.
Very friendly and efficient service which is probably what contributes to the only negative, which is that Gary has a pretty lengthy wait list. But is easy to see why as we are delighted with our new look chairs; better than the original and hopefully will last longer too. I'm hesitant to recommend him too much otherwise the wait list for the next chairs we want done will be even longer :-). Seriously you won't go wrong with Topstitch."

"After a bit of a wait due to the Covid back up jobs, Gary contacted me, collected my 2x2 seater couches the next morning at 10am (to restuff seat bottoms) then returned them that afternoon at 5pm!!! He then worked on 6 of my dining chairs that also needed restuffing of seat bottoms & had those back to me after a long weekend. We were obviously very impressed with both the efficiency of his service & his workmanship. We would be very happy to recommend Topstitch Upholstery :)"

"Gary far exceeded my expectations during a recent "domestic crisis".
Having a reputation for wrecking things round the house I managed to tear the couch with the rivet on the side of my jeans. Fortunately for me my wife was out of town at the time, so I had a breathing space -- a couple of days before haviung to "provide my explanations". Gary swung action, picked up the couch almost immediately, repaired the damage with fabric from the item of furniture itself, and delivered it back the following day, charging me what I considered a measly sum! What a guy, competent, astute, good to talk to, talented and caring. Those of us who have engaged Gary already know how good he is -- those who have not, well they have a treat in store, Thanks Gary! "We had a 7 seater dark green Moran Leather lounge suite with 1 recliner chair showing every bit of its 20 year age. A bit like the owner, rotting at the head, tired and worn in the seat. Gary showed me some matching leather, took the chair away and delivered it back 3 days later looking like new, and matching the rest of the suite. After a couple of days, I stood up in it and in doing so pulled a couple of staples out in the arm. Gary picked it up the same day, modified it slightly and returned it 2 hours later. Great service and as Alan Martin used to say "It's the putting right that counts"."

"We have a tired and a old looking arm chair that had been in the family for nearly 50 years. Our cats had given the fabric over the years a good going over, clawed and torn, stuffing hanging out, but the chair had good bones. Gary stripped, tighten all joints, recovered in the chosen fabric, made a cushion cover from the remaining fabric and now we have a new chair we can use and display. The workmanship that has gone into the stitching and small buttoning is remarkable, happy to recommend Gary to any one."

"I phoned Gary about our 4pce Italian Leather couch... it basically looks like new but is very low and 2 of the seating areas had sagged. It certainly would not have been an easy job for him to do - but he's re-cushioned the whole suite, provided new inners for the loose back cushions and fitted new legs. We are absolutely thrilled and can't believe the difference it has made. Gary was so polite to deal with, he split the job into 2 pickup / deliveries so we weren't without seating. "Wow! My recovered sofa looks absolutely wonderful. There was a 91cm deep pattern and he has matched everything up prefectly. The monkey on the arm rest comes up the front and matches with the rest of the body coming over the top, and it has piping running through it. Great Job. I will be using him again."

"Gary at Topstitch Upholstery did an amazing job in reupholstering some chairs for our reception area. The fabric was not an easy one to work with as the pattern needed to be matched when it was cut but Gary\'s work was meticulous, neat and precise. He also made some repairs to the chairs before he reupholstered them. He collected the chairs from our office and did the work in a very timely manner. "I can thoroughly recommend Gary as an upholsterer, he re-covered our lounge suite a couple of years ago and did a brilliant job, the chairs are recliners and it all looks as good today as when he did them, there were no problems at all. Gary has recently recovered some dining chairs and again he has done a fantastic job, we are very pleased. The next project is having our outdoor furniture covers re-made and we wouldn’t think of going anywhere else but to Gary."

"I would just like say that if you want a good job done, get Gary to do it as he is an exceptionally good upholsterer. If it is a difficult job, he will find a solution to the problem and the end result will always be good and his workmanship is unbeatable. Also not only is he a good upholsterer but he seems to have a talent for fixing and repairing other things, and seems to be a real handyman. Nothing is too much trouble for Gary, I can highly recommend him!!"
