100%"Chris sorted out a new leak in our roof while we were on holiday. Rather than tell us we needed a new roof he had a really pragmatic approach to solving the problem to give us another 5-10 years out of the current one. Chris however was generous with his time over the phone, and organised to get the job sorted promptly. 100%"Awesome team from start to finish. I received the initial quote, then visited Chris at his office where he answered a few additional questions. The start day was delayed by two days - but that's Auckland weather for you. We had a team of three on-site who were fast, efficient and very tidy. Each day the site was tidied before they left. 43%"Had a leak 2yrs after reroof asked Chris to have a look at it He told me it was'nt part of the reroof (it was apiece of flashing) I had previously recommended him to the townhouse next door and they did their reroof, and yet, that part on their roof was done. I had to pay someone to come and fix mine, they told me it WAS part of the reroof and I should go back to the roofer as it would'nt cost me.I feel totally ripped off."Chris Tyson responded:"When we did the re-roof there was nothing there to start with. I measured up the place next door and Maria came out and said she had a leak in the corner so i got up and had a look, I could see where the old painted silicone had finally let go after about 15 years. I then told her i could put a flashing over it which would be better and last longer. We put on 4 small flashings when we did the place next door and have NOT charged her for it. So who ever she paid to do nothing has ripped her off........ These guys quoted us 1 week to complete our roof and it took 5 weeks.
There were many times they just didn't turn up despite the fine weather, and their communication was very poor. My assumption is that they accepted more work than they could resource, and our job suffered as a result.
We experienced a broken window, broken soffit and broken guttering. They did apologise for this and offered to get it fixed.
They did not clean up well after themselves, often leaving nails,… tin offcuts and other debris lying on the roof as well as in neighbouring property.
Positives:

The guys working on the roof were friendly"Chris Tyson responded:"This roof ran over its time limit as it was more difficult than i first through, as a lot of the flashings didn't come out very easily and required weatherboards to be taken off. We were also asked not to work there for a week due to the owner been away, this meant we had to and do another job which took 2 weeks to do, as i just cant tell my employees that there is no work for a week. The cost of repairing the gutter and window were taken off the invoice and we fixed the soffit. The job was also quoted and the only extra cost was the wood work that is also stated in the quote as been an extra so i'm am a bit confused as to why the value has been put at 60%. The team were friendly and polite and really helpful (Cameron put up one of the barge boards for us after our builder ran out of time, cut the end and primed it - legend).
The job was a bit tricky in places, but the guys did an awesome job, great attention to detail and roof looks great.

The guys from Tyson roofing turned up at the beginning of a massive storm, identified the problem, installed a temporary solution and then returned a few weeks later to install new flashing which looks great. When you arrange a date with them they come that day and do the job. Even work together with an insulation company that I want. They even communicate well and give you update on what needs to be done.
As for the work they have done I can not see any leaks towards inside the house but the roof hasn\'t encounter heavy rain yet. It will be tested in time when… heavy rain come in. For the price it was reasonable. After they have install the roof they even clear up the old roof.
