    "A&E Contractors completed our bathroom renovation at the end of last year. We were very happy with the end results, and the process couldn't have been easier. The team turned up on time every day, put down sheets to ensure our house didn't get dirty, completed the work to schedule and to a high standard, and were all-round reliable.     "My house was affected by the Auckland Anniversary floods. We were luckly to have Alex, who promptly came and then gave us a quote for the repair works needed. He arrived early for work everyday, had a very systematic approach and kept the workplace tidy. Many helpful suggestions were also given about the new flooring, skirting and wardrobes etc. Everything is now done and looks fresh and new. The family is very happy at the results and absolutely recommends Alex and his team."

    "Alex and his team did an amazing job with my laundry. The before and after result unbelievable. An ongoing leaking water problem had caused heaps of damage, resulting in needing a new floor, tiles, tub and as it was an older home, complete new plumbing. My jamming back door was fixed free of charge as were holes in my hot water cupboard made by a sneaky rodent. Alex also went out of his way to source and collect a new tub. So appreciated. Also his young builder Chris did an excellent job laying… the tiles. Thanks again to Alex and his team."

    "When we had a half completed renovation to finish off, Alex and his team came along just at the right time, and they were absolutely great to work with. They picked up aspects of the job that hadn't been finished by the previous builder. They began with a thorough inspection of the house and identified all the things that needed to be completed, as well as picking up a major problem with the newly built deck. They took down the non-compliant deck and rebuilt the framing and deck within a week… to the design we had asked for from the outset but which the previous builder chose to ignore. They also rebuilt the parts of the new wooden walkway designed by the previous builder, so it was no longer a hazard or an eyesore. The new porch they installed looks great, and is now a feature at the front of the house. They also finished installing the bathroom and kitchen, and they pay careful attention to the little details - which makes all the difference.



    Alex, Elliot, and Reuben are great to have around, and very easy to work with. Their communication is great, they kept us up to date with progress, and alerted us if there were issues or decisions we needed to make. They also provided some innovative solutions to tricky problems that were previously in the too-hard basket. They are onsite each day (and on a Saturday if necessary), and are dedicated to the one job at a time. This meant the work was done quickly, and they are good at working to a timeline. Additionally, we really appreciated the weekly invoices which clearly listed exactly what we were paying for, and we could keep a close eye on the budget. Alex passed on costs of materials directly to us, so everything was transparent.



    Materials were in short supply at the time Alex and the guys were working on our renovation, but they went the extra mile to make sure we had the timber that was needed. Even driving to Hamilton to pick up some essential timber when they could not get it in Auckland. These guys really do go the extra mile, and I would have no hesitation in using them again, or recommending them to others.    "

He took care of everything for the painting of our rental property prior to sale, from organizing the scaffolding and his associate painter Levi, to removing a small tree and repairing a panel on the fence for us.     "The team from A&E Contractors had good communication, were on the job when they said they would be, and completed the job in the allowed time frame. Our spare bedroom reconfiguration and new fence both look great. We're very happy and have another project booked for early 2022.
    They also connected us with the boys at Prep &Painters who came at short notice and completed the plastering work. Even mopped the floor.

    "We did a bathroom/toilet renovation and Alex was responsive to requests and flexible which was pleasing. There were some issues with lack of communication between himself and the plumber however he kept us in the loop along the way.

    We appreciate the care he took to ensure that we were happy with his work, even if it meant returning to re-grout and returning to refinish after the plumber fixed up his mistake. Would use A&E Contractors again.

    "I moved to a new apartment that needed work. I engaged Alex to carry out the work. He gave me a 6 week time and the work was completed by the end of that time.
    My place is a commercial space that I wanted to become a one bedroom apartment. It needed a kitchen and bathroom installed with electrical and plumbing work to be done.
    It also needed the concrete floor to be sanded and polished. The entire place needed painting also.
    Alex and his guys were on site every day on time. They took away… all the rubbish, made sure the place was left in a tidy state..There was also tiling in the bathroom.

    I can say it was a pleasure and very easy to deal with Alex. I would recommend him to others...    "
