We cannot believe that it took NINE DAYS for AA Insurance to assess the damage to our car after our accident. On their website, they say that repairs usually begin within 24 hours, if not the same day, once at the assessment centre - this has obviously not been our experience.
Plus, the customer service has been ABYSMAL - I've even tried to put in a formal complaint, but keep getting pushed back to the same Customer Service Center that I am trying to complain about. I even tried to call the Head Office to try to give them my formal complaint and they said they don't deal with AA Insurance issues... and tried to send my complaint to another Service Centre - what were they do about it?!

We have been customers and members with AA for a long time (both car and contents) but do not feel like valued customers at all. And no one seems to want to step up and take care of the situation - all we keep getting is a pathetic attitude where they keep blaming it on the process (wasn't the process that it's supposed to be being repaired within 24 hours?? Don't advertise these as your selling points, if you cannot actually provide this service to your customers - or at least have some kind of policy and program for your customers that you are unable to assist within a reasonable timeframe).

I even tried to put in a suggestion to the Customer Service Center Manager and she just disregarded my suggestion and said that she was happy with the time frame that they were working with.

"I am trying to get motor vehicle insurance, I've got seven quotes to date and last Friday I got on to AA Insurance, I spoke with Alex and went through a series of questions (I think the call was recorded), Alex quoted me $60somthing dollars (monthly) to cover myself and my partner for a 1995 Mazda Familia Neo,1500, Automatic and unmodified. I have never had motor vehicle insurnce before (just been a named driver on my parents policy)I live in Tairua and have an internal garage. This was the best quote I'd had. So he informs me I've got to go and sign the direct debit form at an AA Centre and pay the first month to get it going as quickly as possible. At no time did he mention a discount for no claims - because I've never had motor vehicle insurance before. So on Saturday I went to Auckland shopping - I lined up and filled out the forms for half an hour. When I got to the desk to pay the lady said "Oh, he's given you a 60% no claims discount - I'll just call him and check if that's right." So she calls him, he back tracks and then quotes me $149.95 per month. I say: "So you're telling me after all this, you've misquoted me, I've wasted my time on the phone and lining up and now you want a letter to prove I never claimed as a named driver and you still want $149.95?" she then tells me that my car is a "High Theft risk" - Its a Neo not a boy-racer car! I left, fuming."
