First of all, Mike at the front desk is great and always flexible, being able to make situations work around me.     "It was not the first time that these Cowboys did not fix my Hilux properly so its probably partially my own fault to go back to the Cowboys from Autoland North Shore.

    The firs time they did something on the diff and when i got the car back and drove faster than 70kmh it startet shaking violently.
    So took the Hilux back to Autoland, they took it appart again (according to the guys from Autoland) could not find anything (according to Autoland) put it back together again and handed it over to me. Miraculously the shaking was gone. A miracle or did they not tell the the truth, hide something??? Who knows with these guys from Autoland North Shore. When the head gasket on my Hilux needed replacement I dropped the car at AUTOLAND North Shore on the 14th of December in expectation to get it back before the Christmas brake to go on holiday. The quote they gave gave me was $2.500.- which is a pretty good price for a head gasket but you get what you pay for. When they did the job they damaged the electronics so that the engine light came on and the car was not fit to use (Specialist or Cowboy?). Instead of contacting me they waited patiently for my call on the 21st of December (Communication breakdown). Meanwhile Christmas was gone and the Hilux still was not fixed because the sparky from Autoland North Shore was on Holliday. Another week of waiting was in vain because he could not fix the problem either (Isn't that a bummer or are there Cowboys somewhere?). So off we go the best sparky in Auckland (Because he goes to America or so according to the guys from Autoland North Shore). Could he fix it you may ask, no such luck this time. His suggestion was that the drive chain (or how ever you call that) was not installed properly by the guys from, yes you are absolutely right, Autoland NorthShore (Cowboyalarm). And back we go to Autoland North Shore and have another propper look under the hood. Meanwhile, on the 23rd of January me and my Family went on a one week Holliday ourselves which was planed to go in the Hilux but oh no it was still with Autoland North Shore. I needed a car with lots of space and roof racks to store all the stuff you need when you have got two kids. The car they supplied me was a Honda Odyssey which is a rather large car nonetheless it did not have any roof racks like my Hilux so the clever guys from Autoland North Shore handed me over inflatable roof racks. These things might be good for a couple of surfboards but thats about it. So we had to leave a view things behind. Before we left i contacted Autoland North Shore (They must be afraid of customers) again to see what they are so up to. They Asked me to come over so that they can check the Honda and fill up any missing fluids. I did. Also they wanted to contact me when there is some news and i told them that i wouldn't have any reception where i go on holiday but they where promised me to speak on my voicemail to give me the good news. Well you are right again, NEVER happend (Customer care Autoland North Shore). On the way to our destination it started drissling and i wanted to use the window wiper and sprinkler but, surprise surprise the reservoir was empty (Cowboys like it dry i guess). After we came back on the 29th of January i waited patiently for the redeeming phone call (cause there was nothing on my voicemail)..... Silence. On the second day of "no contact" i rang Autoland North Shore to receive the liberating news that my car is "fixed". The story you may ask. Well The guys from Autoland North Shore apparently handed it back to there very own, very best sparky in Auckland ("He always goes to America" what ever that means)only to find out that it was the Hilux's computer that played up. Odd enough that they did the exact same thing the first time. Anyway almost two Month later i got my car back but, yes there is a but again, they broke my antenna and did not even think about putting the under body panels to protect the engine back on yep just leave it in the back of the Truck. Good on ya Cowboys from Autoland North Shore. Never again"

    "I\'ve used AutoLand a few times, but will not go back after my most recent experience (which was a while ago, but I just found this site). I put my car in for my first service with them because they seem very reasonably priced. Be careful - if it seems too good to be true, it probably is. I got a call (which is why I rated them well in communication) saying that the drive belt needed replacing and the spark plugs may need replacing. I was also offered Nitrogen for my tyres, which I believe is a scam, but that\'s not what my problem is here. I told the caller to change the drive belt but not the spark plugs. I picked up the car, and drove home, thinking something wasn\'t quite right. Over the next few days, the car developed a serious \'splutter\' and I noticed a new noise coming from the front right wheel. I suspected I might have been mistaken and that the noise might have been present before the service until my wife also commented on it. The \'sputter\' became terrible, to the point the car came to a stop going up a hill. I booked it into another mechanic to get it checked out because I didn\'t want to go back to AutoLand, but had a look under the bonnet first and noticed a sound coming from the spark plugs. I found that two of the leads had not been plugged into the spark plugs! Whether this was gross negligence or outright dishonesty to try to get me to change the plugs, I\'m not sure, but it doesn\'t matter - I don\'t trust them with my car any more."

    "We are very disappointed you had a bad experience with us. We try very hard to keep our customers happy with good service with fair prices. About the nitrogen, it has been used for many years in aircraft & race cars. The New Zealand police now use it in their cars after research proved it was going to save them hundreds of thousands per year. Here is a link to learn more. http://www.nitrofill.com/nitrogen-in-tires.aspx With the spark plug lead, it is not I repeat is not a ploy to get more work. It is against company policy to do any thing of the sort. It was an honest mistake, some times the heads don’t click back tight after being disturbed. My technicians have strict guide lines as what needs replacing & when. I take pride in out work & wish we had had the chance to rectify the problem. Sorry about the inconvenience. Nick "

    "Went in for a cambelt service on my Mitisubishi - originally in Feb 2008. I paid full price - same price as it would have cost at mitsubishi - and my mistake i should have taken it there. The car didnt drive right after the belt change but i didnt know what it was. it wasnt until I had it taken to Mitsubshi for something unrelated ( a year later) that they then took me on a road test and showed/explained that they didnt balance the balance shafts properly when they did the belt. I returned the vehicle with my receipt early morning and they said it was all done properly. after quoting what the misubishi tech told me, they said theyd look into it. i advised i needed the car back by end of the day. sure was the reply. at 4.30 i called to find out where they were at - oh can you leave it with us overnight. i didnt want to go back so said sure. all fixed in the end but after another visit to mitsubishi for something else, they asked who worked on the car and showed me a damaged cam gear cover (the tech at autoland actually used a saw to cut away a chunk of my cover) and some bolts which were overtightened so the thread was damaged (on the alloy cam cover), bolts were also in the wrong place (by pointing to a pully that had 4 bolts, 2 bolts same number, 2 bolts another number which should be somewhere else...nedless to say i was not impressed and will not go back. 20,000kms later im looking at getting the whole job redone just in case something snaps on me"
