"This company epitomises the term cowboys when it comes to painting and decorating. They were employed by our builder to paint our new build home and left us with a paint job that looks like my 8 year old did it. This company is a typical example of one of the many that have started up post earthquake thinking that painting houses is easy so would cash in on it, not realising that painting properly involves skill. The cutting in around the external windows and doors is appalling, with uneven… edges that can be seen across the room. The cutting in around doors, at skirtings and the ceiling lines is also terrible, generally wherever there was cutting in, it is bad. Most of the doors have runs and bubbling on them and the hinges have paint on them. The walls have been unevenly rollered and there are runs in the paint. They left paint marks on our metal bannisters that took me hours to clean off, as well as paint and varnish on the carpets I also had to clean up. Not to mention the brush hairs stuck in the varnish on our bannisters. We have had the house inspected by other painters, plasterers and builders and they have all been shocked at how bad a job these painters did. We have tried to get them to come back and fix their work, but they have refused."
