100%"I hired BRC to perform quite a big renovation job (a bathroom, re-gib and insulate a large part of the house). I couldn't recommend BRC enough, Dan made the whole thing a lot less stressful with good communication, a little of project management and coordination with other tradesmen and advices. Job was under budget so quite happy about that.

Right from our first meeting with Dan we got a great feeling about his abilities and approach. Dan undertook the first of our newly purchased house renovation projects - our bathroom. His quality workmanship saw a tired and dated separate toilet/bath, rebuilt into an amazing new combined bathroom.
Dan and all the trade staff that he organised and co-ordinated made sure their work was first class.

100%"Following a recent purchase of our home on the North Shore, we planned a major interior renovation. The kitchen and upstairs bathroom were to be completely stripped and refurbished. The main bedroom had internal walls changed to accommodate a walk in wardrobe. We knew how important it would be to select a Master Builder with the ability to plan, prepare and coordinate all the sub-contractors that were required. We found Dan Sothern of Built Rite Construction by reviewing the… “No-Cowboys” web-site.
Early planning meetings were held. Dan listened to our ideas and always advised if he felt there was a better way to accomplish the result. He also advised ways and means where work could be completed more efficiently which resulted in cost savings.
The team is only as good as its weakest link and Dan has a great team of tradesmen including tilers, plumbers, electricians, painters/wallpaper and handymen that are involved in this type of renovation. During the project (March/June 2013) it became clear that he takes great pride in his workmanship and ensures his team follows his lead.
Dan showed honesty and integrity with his chargeable hours. He also always made sure the work area inside was cleaned up after each work day.

He was very thorough and in the process of prepping the laundry uncovered a rotten floor in our kitchen as the result of some work done by another less reputable building company (Buildspace) 2 years ago. As the leak was not able to be detected through the outside Dan\'s thoroughness meant that we discovered the problem before we literally fell through the floor and he worked with us, Buildspace and… the Insurance company until we got a resolution even though this held him up from other jobs. Dan was incredibly professional, transperant, engaged the right professionals at the right time and works to a very high standard. The tradespeople that he bought in were of an equally high standard. He also has a good team of contacts to get you sorted out for all kinds of things around the house.

We purchased a new shower unit at a trade sale and needed a builder to rebuild the shower box and install it. Dan did a fantastic job for us, he gave us a quote we could understand at a fair price.
