First, I took my Ford KA in for a routine service, when I left, the engine fan was on permanently. So took it back again the next day and found that a cable had been accidentally disconnected during the service. They fixed the problem and the car was fine after that. I let it go and put it down to human error.
A few months later the car was jolting at low revs (not the fault of Capital City… Ford), so took my car to Capital City Ford again expecting it to be the spark plugs, and was told the job was quite big and would require a new engine part (can't remember what it was? The head gasket or something) and would cost me around $300-$400 to have it fixed. That evening, convinced it was the spark plugs, I purchased some spark plugs from repco for about $15, fitted them myself, and the problem was solved, and has been running fine ever since.
"Was disappointed they had mistaken expired spark plugs for an expensive repair job.
