Unfortunately I didn't read the other terrible reviews. Worst company I have EVER dealt with. Their model is to quote cheap and smash up charges on move day. Head office does not communicate to the moving team so moving day becomes a giant frustrating mess. Quoted me an amount to pay and I paid the agreed 50% deposit and then on moving day this amount was changed to include an additional fee that had been… initially waived. Also on moving day, although I previously explained (multiple times) that my double door fridge needed to be moved up 1x flight of stairs, they called me just 20 minutes out from the agreed move time and said they couldn't move the fridge without an additional 2 x movers and talked about a new ‘stair fee’ that came out of the blue. This blocked the job and would have required another requote at short notice. I ended up having to help shift my fridge with my son, defeating the purpose of having movers in the first place. I then was going to be charged the full fee that did not have my previously paid deposit removed from the amount.
"Booked a job with CBD Movers to help us move house. Absolutely terrible experience - they arrived 7 hours late, provided no updates (we had to call them 4 times to get an ETA for the truck, in which the ETA changed constantly). No discount offered (they charge $90 an hour for 2 men and a 20m3 truck). Would NEVER recommend to anyone."

"Absolutely terrible. Booked in advance for today- was told they'd be here between 9-12. No one turned up until 1230 and then decided they couldn't do the job with the truck they brought (after spending another 20 mins on the phone by their truck) because my drive is too steep (I had specifically mentioned it was very steep when I booked) they left and said they'd send a smaller truck within an hour. 1.5 hours later I ring them again to get the run-around and told my drive was "too… wet?!" But that they could get another truck out in another hour!!! Now that literally the whole day has been wasted. Needless to say I've just cancelled and rang someone else to do the job. Wouldn't trust these guys with my things at all now. Who knows if they would have even turned up again if I hadn't called."
