    "Had a very poor experience with Central Painters, Matt used a subcontractor to complete the job and the standard of work was well below expectation.
    The real problem was that the full scope of work which we paid for was simply not completed this being the replacement of cracked putty on windows to stop water leaking in. The sub contractor said it was not necessary despite us asking 3 times and there are still significant leaks and we now need to go to the Disputes Tribunal to get it resolved… as Matt refuses to remedy it properly.

    We employed this company based on feed back on this site but I would not recommend them as they simply do not stand behind their work.    "

    "Really disappointed with this review. This is a case of a homeowner not will to accept responsibility for the poor condition he has let his house get to. Peter had the windows re-puttied about 1-2 years prior to us painting them and left the putty unpainted and exposed to the sun which resulted in hairline cracks forming on the surface which had to be sanded out. The guy who did the work did a really bad job, I realized the extent of this on the third time I went back to try to remedy the problem. I cut back the putty about 5mm and found air cavities between the putty and window glass. I told peter this was obviously the problem, thought he understood this but then I get this review. The windows were restored and painted to a high standard by a painter with 30+ years experience who had been working for me fulltime for 6 months at that stage. My quote stated we would replace any cracked, loose or missing putty, which we did, any hairline cracks were sanded out. I even offered to repaint the windows for free after they had been re-puttied so there were no air cavities between the glass and putty. Peter had no problem with the work initially and paid promptly. Scoring us 10% for quality and 20% for reliability is ridiculous. If the quality was so bad and we were so unreliable why would he ask for a quote to paint the rest of the house, I don’t understand that. I’m looking forward to my chance to have my say at the disputes tribunal as I am 100% confident I will win, Peter will then realize the real problem and I will be able to get this poor review removed. "

    "Matt and the team were great. Matt was very good at communicating and letting me know if there would be any delay. He explained the timetable of the job and stuck to it. They have done a lovely job - thorough, painstaking and were very tidy in the process. Highly recommended!"

    "I would highly recomend Matt. Comes across laid back and casual but delivers on every inch of what he promises. He went out of his way to get our job done before Christmas whcih I really appreciated. had a really good team, gave me confidence. Job was finished with flawless deatil and I couldn't fault him. Scaffolding quote was a bit more than expected but that was out of his control. I would definately use him on my other projects and would recomend him."

    "Matt Dolan from Central Painters painted our home in December 2011. We were impressed with Matt’s preparation work and efficiency on the job. The house was completed in plenty of time before Christmas. At all times the property was kept tidy and the work was carried out in a very professional manner.

    We were delighted with the end product and would highly recommend Matt and his team."
