    "We got Centurion Roofing to put a clear plastic roof over our pergola. Jan did the work. We were overseas and he sent update photos which looked good but they did not tell the full story as you will see in my photos. On the 31st Jan I got an email from Jan saying the roof looked magnificent and I paid the final installment. When I got home the job was not 'magnificent, it was a visual disaster!! To water proof one side he used silicon and riveted ta cutoff piece of roofing together to go under… the metal flashing at the side of the pergola. Two corners of those metal flashings a had not been screwed down and stuck up. He also put 3 screws in the side of one of those flashings, why I do not know, as it was secured at the top anyway. Then came the worst installation of a down pipe I have ever seen. He cut the down pipe too short which meant the 'S' bend hit the house (instead of going under the deck) which left a huge distance between the decks support and the end of the pipe. At ground level the pipe was secured with a piece of string.....yes a piece of string. His photo of the down pipe was directly in front of it so I couldn't see the angle of the down pipe. Jan was never great in getting back well that got worse after I got back. Left messages and eventually spoke to him to come back and remedy the mess he made. When I asked him what possessed him to use silicon on clear plastic he stated that was his 'waterproofing' to stop water going over the side of the pergola. I could actually see his fingerprints in the silicon. It looked like a 2 yr old had been up there!! I got him back, instructed him to remove the silicon mess and cut a new one to the edge of the pergola. To stop water beading to the edge all I did was elevate the edge of the plastic sheet with some small pieces of stained wood. Also found 2 drill holes in the plastic where he obviously made errors. They used pictures of my pergola roof on their site to show what a wonderful job Jan did. In the comments of that post I posted photos of his work. The photos along with my comments were taken down. I put a bad review up on their site, it also got taken down. They only accept positive reviews. I got a WhatsApp recording from Jan (which I still have) stating I was unethical for trying to put a bad review up (now get this!!) because he came back and remedied the problems . What about doing a good job first time up? Is it ethical to remove a truthful negative review?

    From our driveway I also picked up heaps of ends of rivets and a number of nails. Here's the icing on the cake with all the heavy rain we have just had I saw a dribble coming from behind pergola roof which goes under the spouting. The spouting now has a fracture in it at a join which wasn't there before we got the pergola roof. Here's my advice DON'T USE THIS FIRM. My photos speak for themselves. ANYONE who uses silicon on clear plastic doesn't know what the hell they are doing. It will ALWAYS show. Just incompetent.    "
