100%"In 2023 Darren from Cleanline Bathrooms renovated a bathroom for me. He did such a good job that I hired him again (August 2024). The job this time was to turn an existing skylight into ceiling, patch many cracks in the rest of the ceiling, & paint the whole ceiling. The finished job was excellent. The ceiling was as new, & as if it had never had a skylight in it. Darren’s plastering skills are the best I have seen.
Darren shows up when he says he will. He leaves the work site clean… & tidy at the end of each day. His finished work is of excellent standard. 100%"Darren from Cleanline Bathrooms renovated a bathroom for me during September 2023. This involved a new paint job, new vanity, toilet & vinyl floor, plus various new fixtures. The renovation took 6 days during some bad winter weather. The finished bathroom was of a high standard. The advantage of using Darren is I only had to deal with one person. He has many skills himself: builder, painter, plasterer, & tiler. He also works regularly with a team of subcontractors such as plumber,… electrician, floor layer, etc. This allows him to prep the job for their requirements, and to co-ordinate them. One morning the floor layer came and laid a new vinyl floor. He finished at mid day just as the plumber arrived to fit the new vanity & toilet that afternoon. Darren is also very tidy. He removed all rubbish daily and would leave the site tidy at the end of each day. Darren responded very promptly to our initial enquiry, undertook a site visit, advised us on options (including with his fittings/fixtures suppliers) and then prepared a detailed written quotation. We were also given a start and completion date for what was a substantial amount of work.Darren started on the specified date and… completed one week early (despite having to take some time out for medical treatment) and we were very impressed with this commitment and performance. Start-up included on-time scheduling of deliveries of bathroom fittings.

The coordination of trades was excellent with the plumber and electrician turning up within the stipulated day and hour and all working together as a well-practised team across various phases of the work. Other trades included underfloor heating installation and floor and wall tiling.
The skill of the tiling crew was impressive and the quality of their final work is top-notch. Having had the chance to view other bathrooms/tiling recently completed by other contractors we appreciate the unmatched high standard of skill and care to detail that was applied to our bathrooms.
Throughout the project Darren's communication was excellent and we were kept updated on progress and who/when/what to expect next. We stayed in the house while the work was being undertaken and Darren and Faith were cognisant of maintaining amenity for us, for example always cleaning up at the end of each day.
We have no hesitation in highly recommending Cleanline Bathrooms. He produced a quote and walked us through it, and was very happy to accommodate some scope changes to the quote to bring it within our budget. We then got caught up in the Gib shortage, but Darren kept me updated regularly, and the day after he got some Gib, him and his team were here in force, and got the bathroom done in a few weeks. One of our vanity drawers was slightly misaligned… due to a manufacturing fault, and Darren kept chasing up the vanity company until it was resolved. I wanted someone that I trusted, that completed work to a high quality, and that would be able to handle the practical aspects of the Council consent process. We got all of that and more with Cleanline.
We are really glad we had Darren and Faith on the case - we started demolition the week of… the August 2021 lockdown and found rot/foundational issues in the bathroom, on top of the delays that Covid caused, so our project ended up a lot longer and more involved than originally anticipated. Darren actively problem solved and kept us informed at every stage, and we love the outcome.

Being an older house, unexpected problems arose e.g. defects in the old electrical wiring, which were dealt with immediately. This in turn delayed some planned events, which had to be rescheduled. The workmen involved completed their tasks without complaint.

He went out of his way to be considerate, conscientious and compassionate with my parents who resided in the house during the whole construction period. Darren always returned phone call and emails, turned up when he said he would and kept a very tidy workplace.

AMAZING TRANSFORMATIONS from ageing 1970’s ‘gloom’ to the Hilton Hotel !
Over the past three months, Darren and Faith from Cleanline Bathrooms and their team have become welcome friends as they entirely rebuilt two bathrooms, a toilet and laundry into gorgeous living spaces of exceptional quality.
Our two foremost criteria were first-rate workmanship and having the ability to discuss the many decisions that need to be made throughout the re-build… process.
When we met Darren we knew that as he was both builder and project manager, he would always be available on site for consultations.
There were complex problems with a downstairs shower to be located on an existing concrete floor. We had received a couple of quotes before Darren came to visit. We were extremely impressed that even before we had accepted a quote from him, Darren sent round a plumber and a drain layer to work out possible solutions to this issue. (solved by using an electric pump located in the next door laundry tub cupboard ).
He also suggested moving some walls just enough to accommodate cavity doors and to allow for the installation of inset wall cabinets with a much larger shower, all of which greatly extended our useable bathroom areas. None of the other bathroom renovators with whom we met came up with such solutions.
That sealed the deal! Plus – he and the delightful Faith are genuine, professional, calm and meticulous workers. They both get a real thrill from seeing projects turning out as envisaged, with everyone very happy.
Our grateful thanks also to their amazing team-mates; electricians George and Mitch, plumber Scott and the outstanding tilers from SK Tiling.

Darren outlined the time frame and steps involved so we were all on the same page. He then designed a bathroom suited to present and future needs of my mother in law - with thoughtful fittings chosen. The quote was comprehensive with no hidden extras. I had daily email communication with multiple photos so I could see every progress. The tradesmen… started the day they had indicated and finished the day they promised. I had a very small space to work with, and the end result looks exactly as I envisioned. 100%"We had an issue with both of the showers in our home. They were both leaking from what appeared to be the same place and causing some concern. Two plumbers had been around and neither had been able to suggest what the problem was. We found Darren via this site, and we're hopeful that his large number of positive comments were an indication that he might be able to help us.
We were surprised at how helpful Darren was. I have never had a workman ring me a few hours before a scheduled meeting to… let me know he was going to be late - until Darren called to say he was going to be late. True to his word he turned up and gave us an instant suggestion as to what the issue with our showers was and what was required to fix them. He then duly turned up when he said he would to repair them, and he actually managed to repair them with less hassle, less time, and - yes - less cost than his quote! Tell me the last time that ever happened!!
I would have no hesitation using Darren again. He is easy to contact via phone or text. He arrives when he says he will. He is knowledgeable and his work is of the highest quality. We will use him again, and I recommend him to anyone.
