"This Holiday Park has incompetent, ruthless owners, and a very nice and kind -hearted employee Stephen, who mismanaged my telephone booking. I rang and asked for a caravan for a few days: if I liked it I intended on staying longer as a way of relaxing from my very demanding, highly successful business. Now, I am an an artist, and don't look like a high profile businesswoman at all. Indeed I am just that. I made the booking, delightedly packed my bags in about 15 minutes and drove down. It was a sweltering day. I was exhausted and very hot. I presented myself at the desk only to be told that instead of three empty caravans, there were none. I was flabbergasted. I was told I could have a 'dorm' with three beds and a fridge. I wasn't offered any other options, and just thought, oh well, they're full. It's a well groomed, happy looking environment. I ws utterly exhausted and said...ok, if its got a fridge an no one else is in there...why not. I was just trying something down to earth, reminding me of childhood times. I was confronted with a tiny sweltering box that may as well have been a tuna, I could touch the walls from one side to the other with my hands. No fridge, not room to turn around, no table. One window. $30! I was very upset, I cried as I had a terrible week before and just wanted a peaceful, reclusive old-time camping experience. I went back to Stephen and asked why my telephone booking had gone awry. Poor Stephen was apologetic and flustered. I was just so tired and upset. He offered me a lovely cabin with two rooms, two queen beds and said he himself would pay the difference for two nights. I was overwhelmed by his generosity. I thought he owned the business. I found out later he did not. I was very relaxed and happy for the two nights I had paid for, and paid another two nights at full price for the accommodation. Then on the Monday afternoon a woman (the owner) appeared at the door demanding $90.00. She was rude, unflinching and demanding. I know a reasonable agreement and I knew I was right. I had already paid to stay until Wednesday morning when I would check out. I was told that it was my fault I had made a telephone booking not by their online process, and that's why I didn't get the caravan I'd booked by phone with Stephen. I should have known better. She tried to 'catch me out' when I mistakenly said I'd made an online booking.. just a slip of the tongue, and had a go at me. She repeatedly demanded I pay her for the mistakes of her staff, negating kind Stephern's offer. I had taken the offer as I believed he was the owner and he was showing an excellent business acumen. Meanwhile the woman went on and own insisting I pay the outstanding $90.00 by 7:00pm. I reiterated that which Stephen had said to me (a very kind man indeed). She refused to acknowledge Stephen's offer... or to agree to his word. She just wanted her money. I was offended. She didn't give a stuff.

I know good business practice, I treat my clients with the greatest respect, and those who work for me....that's why I have a business grossing over a million dollars a year...even though I look like a tattooed, quirky, unusual woman. I am after all an artist! We come infall shapes and sizes! All colours of the rainbow! By her behaviour, I realised she obviously took me for some kind of low-life, and treated me accordingly.

I wouldn't recommend this place to my dog...oh, hang on...they're supposed to be 'dog friendly' but would allow my sweet, obedient, house-trained French Bulldog to stay with me. They were ignorant of the breed, obviously. My dog is a sweetie who loves people, kids especially. She has a spinal degenerative disease so doesn't run around much at all. She's on a lot of medication right now and hates being separated from me. We are trying to spend as much time together as she will have a short life.

I had initially rang because they were 'dog friendly'.... but I ran out of options. She's not a barker. She's a licky dog, not a nasty dog. A squiggly little love bug. But no...banished! All they heard was 'bulldog'. She's my companion dog and helps me remain calm, my best friend. I do the same for her. So much for 'dog friendly'. I am a very responsible and experienced dog owner. I know the rules when it comes to dogs in public places.

However, I must say there were a lot of absolutely lovely people staying there...the owners aren't two of them.

I was disgusted at the way I was treated, and won't be recommending them to anyone.

I DO think Stephen is fantastic..but he looked really really anxious. Now I understand why. I think he has a hard time working for those obnoxious owners. His bosses...they were callous and unfriendly to the bitter end..all they wanted was their pound of flesh...$90.00.. and what's more it 'was all my fault, for not booking online!" Really, in this day and age, we do use iPhones too. Its good to talk to 'a real person'.

Don't go there. The owners don't deserve it.

"This lady booked a caravan at a value of $75 per night. As our manager forgot to enter it in our system, it wasn’t available when she arrived. Our mistake. Our manager then offered her the dorm at $30 per night which she took. It wasn’t suitable for her needs so she came back to reception. Our manager moved her to a flat which is $135 per day. When I came back I went to talk to her as she had booked at $75 per day and only paid $30 per day I thought it was reasonable that she paid the balance at the rate she had booked. For our managers mistake she was put in a lovely motel unit with shower, toilet, hand basin, tv, air conditioning , kitchen, dining facilities, all bedding and towels provided ( these things are not in the $75 per day caravan. Therefore she got a $120 discount. I was very polite. I have been in business for many years and value my customers. I was on the understanding when I left her unit that she had agreed. I was shocked to see the scathing review. As far as dogs are concerned, we allow them in campervans only. There are a lot of people that don’t want to sleep in units that animals have been in, and some people have allergies."
