"Mike and Lian did an outstanding job inside and out on our 1970’s weatherboard home. The detail work and repairs made to the inside gib, window frames and skirting boards were incredible. Mike spent a lot of time fixing various imperfections around the exterior of the home including replacing sections of rotten weatherboard. The paint finish is outstanding. We’re so happy we had them do the work and will surely use them again in future."

"Mike and Lian did an outstanding job repairing some sections of rotting wood and repainting window frames on our bungalow. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. The workmanship was of the highest quality and to my eyes, faultless.
I really appreciated the excellent communication and conversation, Mike is extremely knowledgeable about old homes. As someone who knows next to nothing about DIY and how to physically carry out any form of home maintenance, his eye for detail and… explanations along the way were very welcome.

Mike was extremely obliging in dealing with a bunch of ad hoc touch up jobs while he was here (small sections of painting and touch ups not part of the quote), and even took the time to take my fiance in his van to pick up some wood for his woodworking course! We will definitely be using Mike (and Lian) for future maintenance work, they are a dream team. Thank you, Mike and Lian!"

"I couldn't be happier with the work completed at my home. I met with Mike who provided a quote to repair and repaint all the wooden joinery. We agreed on a start date and the work was completed on time and on budget. Mike and Lian were incredibly professional, polite and punctual. Always respectful of my home and covered furniture and tidied up each day, working around my needs. Throughout the 4 weeks Mike kept me informed on progress, alerted me to areas of rot or additional work so there… were no surprises. I have no hesitation in recommending Mike. "Evolution Property Maintenance completed a full exterior repaint of my home. The house is a 1949 ex-state house, which had been poorly painted eight years earlier. There was substantial bubbling and severe sun damage to north facing weatherboards and windows.
Mike and Lian were thorough in their preparation and maintenance before painting - there was a lot of prep to do! The paint finish on the house and trim is excellent and I'm really happy with the job. They are so easy to work with and a… joy to have around the home. "I went to the no more cowboys site to read about available painter handymen in my area and reading through the reviews contacted Mike. What a fortuitous choice. He has been everything the other reviews have said and all of it good. I have a old workingmans cottage built in the 1890s and i have lived in it for 30 years plus. It was very tired inside. As I am selling it needed a freashen up and I would not feel happy to just have a cosmetic cover up as i have seen in other houses. Mike and… his righthand man Lian are consumate craftsmen. They have repaired and rejuvenated the interior of my house.

Mike has communicated every step of the way so I always felt in control. He gave me good advice and let me make the choices. He has been punctual and reliable. "Highly recommended. Mike and his co-worker took on multiple old outside windows with putty falling out, wood exposed, and some windows faulty in opening. Mike's experience and professionalism showed throughout all work done, his skill in fixing the windows enabled all windows to now open easily, and both he and his co worker worked quickly and with focus, no corners cut. "Mike and his assistant did some paint repair work for us inside and on our pergola outside. We were amazed at the work they did. Mike is so knowledgeable about repairs and a true craftsman with his skills and knowledge. He was also really proactive, alerting me to a rot issue we had in the pergola and repairing it. "Mike and his young assistant did a great job on my 100 year old bungalow. There was great attention to detail and lots of painting with a brush to give a really professional finish. Mike had the added bonus of being very proficient at repairing any timber work that was damaged or rotten. He was more than happy to share his extensive painting knowledge for questions I had for my other projects. He was not phased by putting in the time needed for all of my wooden joinery.

"Mike is our go to handy man. He has that old school work ethic and attention to detail that you just don't see anymore. Our first home was a run down, simple 1980 style home, with a bit of moisture damage on some on the boards, I honestly thought nothing could be done and he patiently worked away at them and restored it so beautifully. "I had some repair work done on front of my garage and so needed the repairs to be painted. my neighbour was having his house painted by Mike Ellis from Evolution Property Maintenance so I contacted Mike Ellis and asked him to come over and give me a quote. He came round, evaluated the job and gave me a very reasonable quote. I then asked him to quote on doing the side of the garage facing the garden as well. Might as well have the garage looking good. He quoted and I accepted.
He started the… job in February and came the day he said he would. Mike had an assistant, DJ. They both worked quietly and efficiently. Mike communicated with me every day to tell me what he had done and what was going to do that day. That was very reassuring.

As Mike and DJ finished the front and moved to the side, Mike discovers some rot and suggested that he could fix them before painting over which he did very satisfactorily.

We have a 1912 villa and the front of the villa had moved slightly and cracks had appeared on the corners and the weatherboards. I asked Mike if he could fix them as well. Mike fixed and painted them brilliantly. He also walked around the house and identified a few other spots he could attend to and did.

all in all Mike did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price. When Mike and DJ left the property it was spick and span, no mess.

I have no hesitation in highly recommending Mike Ellis from Evolution Property Maintenance.

As I mentioned, Mike also painted my neighbour's house and he did an excellent job there too."

"Our review comes with a bit of a story, so here we go.
My wife and I moved into our new (first) home last week. Prior to moving in we had our pre-settlement inspection of the property where we found the internal walls in a bit of an untidy state - there were holes from hanging pictures and discoloration. Our selling agent suggested that we have the entire living area replastered and painted prior to our moving day - the very next day no less! Where were we going to find someone so late in the… piece? And surely it will cost an arm and a leg? Our agent suggested Mike - he had done work on his behalf on a number of occasions. I called Mike and he was more than happy to help us out. I first met Mike on the day we settled on the property - he was plastering and priming the internal walls of our new living room while the vendor was still moving out! To ensure that the job would be finished before we actually moved into the property, Mike got up first thing the following morning to complete the job. The result was amazing and it really made our first move!

"We first engaged Mike for a high end (and somewhat difficult) residential interior re-paint. He did such a good job, we ended up keeping him busy on a number of projects for at least two years!
Work included residential and commercial, interior and exterior, repair work and repaints. Most of the jobs would be described as “high end”, and some were extremely tricky involving height work, scheduling challenges, and old wood joinery. A lot of the work undertaken was outside the scope of… what a “traditional painter” would be willing to undertake (e.g. joinery repairs, carpentry, arranging scaffolding, and overseeing other trades) - saving us considerable time and money.

Mike is honest, extremely hard working, reliable, patient, and adaptable. His quality of work and attention to detail is outstanding. He was always a pleasure to deal with and will be our first choice for future work."

"What a wonderful job Mike made of our sad, delapitated,old wooden window frames ! Hard to believe they are not new ones !!!
Mike worked quietly neatly and efficiently and left no mess behind. The windows were sparkling and the frames like new. The job was done more quickly than expected which was a real bonus especially as we needed scaffolding!
Mike is a very pleasant highly skilled trades man and comes highly recommended by myself and my husband ! I fully recommend hiring Mike for any… maintenance you need doing around your home. Thanks so much Mike we will be calling on you again Im sure !!"

"Mike did an awesome job, patched up holes and now you wouldn’t know they were ever there. The painting was great, he obviously has a lot of pride in his workmanship. The work area was tidier than when he started. Would recommend him to anyone!"
