Firefish Fabrication is a local family-owned and operated business born from a passion of creating well-designed and solution-focused bespoke metalwork. Large jobs, small parts and every niche job in between. The trickier the better – we love a good creative challenge whether we are designing, fabricating something new or even repairs and maintenance.

We are proud of our creative, outside-of-the-square approach and have worked with large and small boat owners, architects and interior designers, construction companies, retail fit out companies, small business owners and homeowners to make their visions come to life. If you can dream it up, we can make it!

Our core product offering is mirror-finish stainless steel welding and fabrication. Why stainless, and in particular, 316 marine grade stainless steel? It is sleek, timeless and hardwearing. But if stainless isn’t the right solution for your project we also work regularly with aluminium fabrication and welding, brass, plus mild and galvanised steel. If you have a particular niche job requiring work with copper or any other metals then we would love to chat and see if together we can make some magic.

We’re lucky to be based on Auckland’s beautiful Hibiscus Coast, but we can offer mobile welding (tig) and on-site repairs/installations across Auckland and over the upper North Island if need be.

We are committed to getting the job done right – top-of-the-line, in budget and on time. Hard work doesn’t scare us. Neither does a tricky project with an elusive solution. We have a great attitude and are reliable and love to build solid long-term relationships with our customers.

What we do
MARINE. Boat fabrication is a core output for Firefish. Our experience in this industry alone spans over 20 years working on both NZ-made small pleasure craft to the top-spec superyachts in the world. Even for the smallest parts we create, attention to detail is a must and outputting a hard-wearing and bloody good-looking creation is what we aim for on each and every project. 316 marine-grade stainless steel is our material of choice.

RESIDENTIAL. There are a lot of elements that go into building a new home. Whether you’re starting from scratch with a beautiful blank canvas or renovating an existing home – either with the assistance of designer or architect, or going it alone - we can join in the project team to help you bring your dream to life. From the most jaw-dropping feature lighting, designed to make certain spaces really stand out, through to code-compliant balustrading and handrails – we always curate a creative twist to ensure everything we create becomes a feature in its own right.
